The spin polarizationP of the low energy cascade electrons excited with a primary unpolarized electron beam is measured with ultrathin films of permalloy (Ni80Fe20) as a function of film thickness, external magnetic field, and temperatureT. Surface adsorbates of small concentrations of less than 10% of a monolayer can change the Curie point and the saturation value ofP 0(T0) by as much as 30%. The Ta-substrate induces a magnetically dead region in permalloy. Conventional spin wave theory cannot account for the observed smallT-dependence of the magnetizationM. Films on a nonmagnetic substrate are compared to similar films coupled to bulk permalloy over an interface of Ta. TheT-dependence ofM with the coupled films can be explained by spin wave theory. At lowT, the films coupled to the bulk exhibit a faster decrease ofM than the uncoupled films. We propose that this thermal stabilization of the magnetization in very thin ferromagnetic films is due to quenching of the long wavelength spin modes.  相似文献

Saccharides in foods play important roles, as they are essential substrates for fermentation processes. In brewing, the concentration of maltooligosaccharides influences the characteristics of beers and therefore their determination is of great practical interest. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) was applied to identify and characterise maltooligosaccharides in beer samples. The effects due to different cation concentrations and dilution of samples were studied. Furthermore, quantitative analyses of maltooligosaccharides by means of flow-injection ESI-MS (FI/ESI-MS) of 1-microL beer samples (diluted 1000-fold) are described.  相似文献

Rheological behavior and structural interpretation of waxy crude oil gels   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
A waxy crude oil which gels below a threshold temperature has been investigated under static and dynamic conditions, using a combination of rheological methods, optical microscopy, and DSC. Particular attention is given in this work to the influence of the mechanical history on gel strength and to describing the time-dependent rheological behavior. The gels display a strong dependence of the yield stress and moduli on the shear history, cooling rate, and stress loading rate. Of particular interest is the partial recovery of the gel structure after application of small stress or strain (much smaller than the critical values needed for flow onset) during cooling, which can be used to reduce the ultimate strength of the crude oil gel formed below the pour point. A second focus of this study is to further develop the physical interpretation of the mechanism by which wax crystallization produces gelation. Gelation of the waxy crude oil studied is suggested to be the result of the association between wax crystals, which produces an extended network structure, and it is shown that the system displays features common to attractive colloidal gels, for one of which, fumed silica (Aerosil 200) in paraffin oil, rheological data are reported. The colloidal gel model provides a simple and economical basis for explaining the response of the gelled oil to various mechanical perturbations and constitutes a fruitful basis from which to develop technologies for controlling the gelation phenomenon, as suggested by the rheological results reported.  相似文献

A ligand known to form a fluorescent complex with aluminum ion was immobilized on silica gel. The immobilization sequence was verified by cross-polarization magicangle spinning n.m.r. spectroscopy and diffuse reflectance u.v. spectroscopy. The solid-state fluorescence of the immobilized ligand complexed with aluminum ion was similar to the fluorescence of a solvated complex of a model ligand. The potential to eliminate possible interfering species by isolating the complex from solution was demonstrated.  相似文献

NAD glycohydrolase from Neurospora crassa conidia was purified by affinity chromatography on a column of polyclonal antibodies bound to an agarose matrix. The procedure was easy, non-denaturating and suitable for repetitive use of the gel. The enzyme obtained appeared homogeneous by sodiumdodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.  相似文献

A high-affinity ligand of cholera toxin, the divalent glycocalix[4]arene 1, was obtained by exploiting a combination of structure-based design of glycomimetic monovalent ligands and affinity enhancements by multivalent presentation through a calix[4]arene scaffold. The synthesis of 1-(4-substituted)benzyl-6-hydroxyisoquinolines, to be evaluated in the displacement of the specific 3H-ouabain binding to Na+,K+-ATPase, is described. The key step involved a cyclization to the isoquinoline ring under Pictet-Gams conditions which was best performed with the 6-hydroxy group protected as the benzyl ether. When an unsaturated ester group was present in position 4 of the 1-benzyl group, this was best introduced before the cyclization step, since the IIeck reaction on 1-(4-bromobenzyl)-6-hydroxyisoquinoline ( 8 ) with acrylic acid derivatives was not successful in all cases.  相似文献
