This paper deals with the development of a novel single-frequency tunable diode laser with fiber-optic output for gas-analysis applications. The approach we propose is a convenient, simple and cheap solution for spectroscopy of single absorption lines of any gases having absorption bands in the optical fiber transparency window (0.7 microm/1.7 microm). The presence of fiber-optic output is an additional advantage for remote sensing applications. The laser operation is demonstrated as applied to R7 line of 2 nu(3) methane absorption band at lambda = 1.645 microm. The mode-hop-free tuning range of 35 GHz (1.2 cm(-1)) has been achieved.  相似文献

Conclusion We have constructed miniature optical amplifying modules based on buried stripe heterostructures emitting in the 1.2 m band. The modules have single-mode fiberoptics lead-ins; the hermetically sealed housing contains also a Peltier refrigerator and a temperature sensor. The gain characteristics of the module were investigated and show that it can be used for information access (including spectrally selective access) by using the optoelectronic signal produced in the pump electric circuit by passage of an amplified optical signal.Quantum Electronics Laboratory, Lebedev Physics Institute. The main aim of this study was to synthesis of poly (lactic acid) (PLA)‐graft‐glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) as well as its influence on the properties of PLA/banana fiber biocomposites. PLA‐graft‐GMA graft copolymer (GC) was synthesized by melt blending PLA with GMA using benzoyl peroxide and dicumyl peroxide as initiators. Graft copolymerization was confirmed by FTIR and 1H‐NMR spectroscopic studies. PLA/silane treated banana fiber (SiB) biocomposites with various GC concentrations were prepared by melt blending followed by injection molding techniques. The influence of GC content on the mechanical, thermal and moisture resistance properties of the composite was investigated. The addition of 15 wt% GC content in the biocomposite provided optimum tensile and flexural strength, which is attributed to the greater compatibility between fiber and PLA matrix. The thermal properties of biocomposites have been evaluated using thermogravimetric analysis which provided evidence of improved interfacial adhesion between SiB and PLA by the addition of GC. Additionally, GC enhanced the moisture absorption resistance of biocomposites. These results indicated that GC is indeed a good candidate as a compatibilizing agent to improve the compatibility in PLA/fiber biocomposites. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
