In the structure Ba12F19Cl5 [hexagonal space group P6 2m] the two chlorides on the sites Cl(1) and Cl(2) can partially be replaced by bromide ions. Single crystals of the type Ba12F19ClδBr5–δ with a chloride to bromide ratio up to 2 : 3 could be obtained by cooling a flux of 75 mol% BaF2 and 25 mol% BaX2 with X = Cl, Br. The crystal quality decreases with increasing bromide concentration. Structural parameters of five selected single crystals with different chloride/bromide ratio were studied by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The refined total Cl?/Br? population ratio in the crystals is close to the one of the flux. The lattice parameters and interatomic distances change in various ways, when the smaller chloride ion is replaced by the bigger bromide ion. The refinements show a statistical disorder on the halide sites with preferential bromide substitution on site Cl(1). 相似文献
Let T be a square matrix with a real spectrum, and let f be an analytic function. The problem of the approximate calculation of f(T) is discussed. Applying the Schur triangular decomposition and the reordering, one can assume that T is triangular and its diagonal entries tii are arranged in increasing order. To avoid calculations using the differences tii ? tjj with close (including equal) tii and tjj, it is proposed to represent T in a block form and calculate the two main block diagonals using interpolating polynomials. The rest of the f(T) entries can be calculated using the Parlett recurrence algorithm. It is also proposed to perform some scalar operations (such as the building of interpolating polynomials) with an enlarged number of significant decimal digits.
Summary. Single crystals of MgAl2F8(H2O)2 have been obtained under hydrothermal conditions (250°C, 14 d) from a starting mixture of AlF3 and MgAlF5(H2O)2 in a 5% (w/w) HF solution. The crystal structure has been determined and refined from single crystal data (Fmmm (#69), Z = 4, a = 7.2691(7), b = 7.0954(16), c = 12.452(2) ?, 281 structure factors, 27 parameters, R(F2 > 2σ (F2)) = 0.0282, wR(F2 all) = 0.0885). The obtained crystals were systematically twinned according to (010/100/001) as twinning matrix, reflecting
the pseudo-tetragonal metric. The crystal structure is composed of perowskite-type layers built of corner sharing AlF6 octahedra with an overall composition of AlF4− which are connected via common fluorine atoms of [MgF4/2(H2O)2/1] octahedra. Group-subgroup relations of MgAl2F8(H2O)2 to WO3(H2O)0.33 and to other M(II)M(III)2 F8(H2O)2 structures are briefly discussed. Above 570°C, MgAl2F8(H2O)2 decomposes under elimination of water into α-AlF3, β-AlF3, and MgF2.

The crystal structures of the M2NaIO6 series (M = Ca, Sr, Ba), prepared at 650 °C by ceramic methods, were determined from conventional laboratory X‐ray powder diffraction data. Synthesis and crystal growth were made by oxidizing I– with O2(air) to I7+ followed by crystal growth in the presence of NaF as mineralizator, or by the reaction of the alkali‐metal periodate with the alkaline‐earth metal hydroxide. All three compounds are insoluble and stable in water. The barium compound crystallizes in the cubic space group Fm3m (no. 225) with lattice parameters of a = 8.3384(1) Å, whereas the strontium and calcium compounds crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/c (no. 14) with a = 5.7600(1) Å, b = 5.7759(1) Å, c = 9.9742(1) Å, β = 125.362(1)° and a = 5.5376(1) Å, b = 5.7911(1) Å, c = 9.6055(1) Å, β = 124.300(1)°, respectively. The crystal structure consists of either symmetric (for Ba) or distorted (for Sr and Ca) perovskite superstructures. Ba2NaIO6 contains the first perfectly octahedral [IO6]5– unit reported. The compounds of the ortho‐periodates are stable up to 800 °C. Spectroscopic measurements as well as DFT calculations show a reasonable agreement between calculated and observed IR‐ and Raman‐active vibrations. 相似文献
The paper represents a detailed insight into the correlation between changes of the phase composition of crystalline YbxZr1−xO2−x/2 solid solutions and their structural, electrical, mechanical and optical properties. Particularly, the effect of the crystal growth conditions and stabilizer amount in the range of 1.5–13.8 mol% of Yb2O3 are studied in terms of Rietveld analysis of powder X-ray diffraction data, electrical conductivity measured by impedance spectroscopy, absorption coefficient and refractive index measurements, Vickers microhardness (classical technique) as well as the plastic microhardness and effective elastic modulus (DSI—depth-sensing indentation technique). Potential applications of the investigated systems are discussed in view of the results obtained. 相似文献
In this work, the structural and magnetic properties of Tb3 (Fe28−xCox) V1.0 (x=0, 3, 6) compounds have been investigated. The structural characterization of compounds by X-ray powder diffraction is an evidence for a monoclinic Nd3(Fe, Ti)29-type structure (A2/m space group). The refined lattice parameters a and b (but not c) and the unit cell volume V, obtained from the XRD data by the Rietveld method, are found to decrease with increasing Co concentration. The unit cell parameters behavior has been attributed to the smaller Co atoms and a preferential substitution of Fe by Co. The anisotropy field (Ha) as well as critical field (Hcr) was measured using the singular point detection (SPD) technique from 5 to 300 K in a pulsed magnetic field of up to 30 T. At T=5 K, a FOMP of type 2 was observed for all samples and persists at all temperatures up to 300 K. For sample x=0, Hcr=10.6 and 2.0 T at 5 and 300 K, respectively, is equal to that reported earlier. The occurrence of canting angles between the magnetic sublattices during the magnetization process instead of high-order anisotropy contributions (at room temperature are usually negligible) has been considered to explain the survival of the FOMP at room temperature. The anisotropy and critical fields behave differently for samples with x=0, 3 compared with x=6. The observed behavior has been related to the fact that the Co substitution for Fe takes place with a preferential entrance in the inequivalent crystallographic sites of the 3:29 structure. The contribution of the Tb-sublattice in the Tb3(Fe, V)29 compound with uniaxial anisotropy has been scaled from the anisotropy field measured on a Y3(Fe, V)29 single crystal with easy plane anisotropy. 相似文献
The environmentally important decomposition of halogenated species CF3Br and CF3CHFCF3 in helium discharge plasma was investigated by time-resolved high-resolution Fourier transform infrared emission spectroscopy.
Contrary to classical pyrolysis, a deeper fragmentation of precursors up to atoms and lower molecular species was observed.
Excited molecular products CF, CF2 and CF4 achieved the maximal concentration in the afterglow. The high concentration of all these species is in agreement with a kinetic
model based on radical chemistry. The non-detectable concentration of CF3 can be connected to its high reactivity and the formation of more stable products, CF4 and CF2, by addition or release of a fluorine atom, respectively. Other products included HF, HBr, CO and cyano compounds that were
produced by secondary reactions with traces of water vapor, atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen present in original industrial
samples as impurities. 相似文献
