A simple, cheap, and nonpolluting method was developed for the cloud point extraction of gold (Au) and palladium (Pd). It is based on the complexation reaction of Au and Pd with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-5-pyrazolone (PMBP) and micelle mediated extraction of the complex using the non-ionic surfactant poly(ethylene glycol) mono-p-nonylphenyl ether (PONPE 7.5). Under the optimized experimental conditions, the enrichment factors are 16 and 17 for Au and Pd, respectively, for 15?mL of preconcentrated solution. The limits of detection are 3.8???g?L?1 and 1.8???g?L?1 for Au and Pd, respectively. The relative standard deviations are 1.4% for Au and 0.6% for Pd (n?=?11). The method was successfully applied to the determination of Au and Pd in certified reference materials and mine samples.

A new impulsive observer is investigated to guarantee the error system remains bounded for any bounded disturbances. Sample processing is a very important component of uncertainty in analytical results. In order to have reliable results, the laboratory sample should be properly processed to obtain statistically homogenous matrix—before the representative test portions are withdrawn for analysis. The use of 14C-labeled compound is preferable because the analyte can be quantified without cleanup. The method is based on surface treatment of cucumber with 14C-chlorpyrifos, determination of 14C-chlorpyrifos activity in the replicate test portions of different size, and determination of the uncertainty of sample processing.  相似文献

Chalcones targeting neurodegenerative diseases have been known as attractive structures in drug design and discovery. In this study, phenothiazine-based chalcones as ChEs and MAOs inhibitors were designed and synthesized via base-catalyzed Claisen-Schmidt condensation, and chemical structures of the compounds were elucidated by NMRs and HRMS. Compounds 3 and 9 showed promising inhibition potency against AChE enzyme with IC50 values of 0.221 μM and 0.053 μM while compound 9 displayed remarkable inhibition potency toward MAO-B enzyme with IC50 value of 0.048 μM. Compound 9 , as a dual-target inhibitor, selectively inhibited AChE and MAO-B enzymes. This promising behavior is an advantage for the compound since MAO-B and AChE inhibition have a role in Alzheimer's disease. Fused tricyclic ring systems such as phenothiazine incorporated with chalcone moiety being multitargeting ligands may help scientists for the rational design of novel lead compounds targeting neurodegenerative illnesses.  相似文献

Cy5 dye is widely used as a biomarker in the research fields of life science because of its excitation at wavelengths above 600 nm where autofluorescence of bio-matter is much reduced. However, Cy5 dye could not be encapsulate into silica directly to form stable nanoparticles by using of the traditional methods. In this paper, an improved method had been developed to prepare Cy5 dye doped core-shell silica fluorescent nanoparticles (SFNPs), employing biomolecules conjugated Cy5 as the core material and silica coating produced from the hydrolysis TEOS (tetraethyl orthosilicate) in the water-in-oil microemulsion. To obtain stable Cy5 dye doped SFNPs with core-shell structure, five kinds of biomolecules with different iso-electric point (pI) have been selected to conjugate Cy5 for preparation of core-shell SFNPs. Results demonstrated that very bright and photostable Cy5 doped core-shell SFNPs could be both prepared by use of positive polysine conjugated Cy5 or IgG conjugated Cy5 as the core material, respectively. IgG conjugated Cy5 doped core-shell SFNPs was selected as a demonstration to be characterized and applied as a near-infrared fluorescent marker in cell recognition. The results showed that Cy5 doped core-shell SFNPs prepared by conjugating with a positive biomolecules IgG as the core material were luminescent and stable. About 110 Cy5 dye molecules could be doped in one nanoparticle with size of 42 ± 5 nm. The breast cancer cells had been selectively recognized by use of the near-infrared fluorescent marker based on the Cy5-IgG doped core-shell SFNPs. And the results demonstrated that this Cy5 doped core-shell SFNPs fluorescence marker was superior to the pure Cy5 dye marker for cell recognition in photostability and detection sensitivity.  相似文献

The extended Koopmans' theorem (EKT) provides a straightforward way to compute ionization potentials and electron affinities from any level of theory. Although it is widely applied to ionization potentials, the EKT approach has not been applied to evaluation of the chemical reactivity. We present the first benchmarking study to investigate the performance of the EKT methods for predictions of chemical potentials (μ) (hence electronegativities), chemical hardnesses (η), and electrophilicity indices (ω). We assess the performance of the EKT approaches for post‐Hartree–Fock methods, such as Møller–Plesset perturbation theory, the coupled‐electron pair theory, and their orbital‐optimized counterparts for the evaluation of the chemical reactivity. Especially, results of the orbital‐optimized coupled‐electron pair theory method (with the aug‐cc‐pVQZ basis set) for predictions of the chemical reactivity are very promising; the corresponding mean absolute errors are 0.16, 0.28, and 0.09 eV for μ, η, and ω, respectively. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Highly fluorescent, novel dihydropyridazine-appended dibenzosuberenone type dye molecules were obtained in a single step from simple compounds using Diels-Alder chemistry. This new fluorophore structure can be used for the construction of fluorescent chemosensors, as exemplified by selective and sensitive fluoride ion sensing. The –N–H protons in these structures are acidic enough to allow for fluoride-induced deprotonation, leading to a significant color change as well as a concomitant fluorescence quenching. These fluorophores possess large Stokes shifts, high quantum yields, and long fluorescence lifetimes; therefore, this study potentially paves the way for the construction of novel dye molecules for use in fluorescent dye applications.  相似文献

In this paper, we derive some less stringent conditions for the exponential and asymptotic stability of impulsive control systems with impulses at fixed times.
