A Facile Synthesis of Raltegravir Potassium—An HIV Integrase Inhibitor

A facile, cost‐effective, and commercially viable synthesis of Raltegravir Potassium ( 1 ) has been developed from 2‐(1‐amino‐1‐methyl‐ethyl)‐N‐[(4‐fluorophenyl)methyl]‐1,6‐dihydro‐5‐hydroxy‐1‐methyl‐6‐oxo‐4‐pyrimidinecarboxamide ( 9 ) with high purity and in good yields. In addition, a new approach for the synthesis of key amine intermediate ( 9 ) of Raltegravir Potassium ( 1 ) from commercially available 2‐amino‐2‐methylpropanenitrile hydrochloride ( 2 ) is also described. The key features of the synthesis are fewer synthetic steps, employing the inexpensive reagents and eco‐friendly.     

A class of third-order nonlinear evolution equations admitting invariant subspaces and associated reductions

With the aid of symbolic computation by Maple, a class of third-order nonlinear evolution equations admitting invariant subspaces generated by solutions of linear ordinary differential equations of order less than seven is analyzed. The presented equations are either solved exactly or reduced to finite-dimensional dynamical systems. A number of concrete examples admitting invariant subspaces generated by power, trigonometric and exponential functions are computed to illustrate the resulting theory.     

Acetylenic condensation of 1-alkoxy- and 1-alkylthio-1-buten-3-ynes with substituted iodobenzenes

On Decomposition of the ABS Lattice Equations and Related Bäcklund Transformations

The Adler-Bobenko-Suris (ABS) list contains scalar quadrilateral equations which are consistent around the cube, and have D₄ symmetry and tetrahedron property. Each equation in the ABS list admits a beautiful decomposition. We revisit these decomposition formulas and by means of them we construct Bäcklund transformations (BTs). BTs are used to construct lattice equations, their new solutions and weak Lax pairs.

Design,synthesis and screening of some novel benzoxazole based 1,3,4-oxadiazoles as potential antimicrobial agents

A series of novel 2-(5-substituted-[1,3,4]oxadiazol-2-yl)-benzoxazoles (7a–h) were synthesized in good yields in two different directions by involving benzoxazole-2-carboxylic acid (1) as raw material and benzoxazole-2-carbonyl chloride (2), benzoxazole-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (3), benzoxazole-2-carboxylic acid hydrazide (4), benzoxazole-2-carboxylic acid N′-acetyl hydrazide (5a–d) and benzoxazole-2-carboxylic acid-ethylidene-hydrazides (6a–d) as reactive intermediates. The chemical structures of all the synthesized compounds were elucidated by their IR, ¹H NMR and ¹³C NMR and mass spectral data. Further, the target compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activity against various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.     

Reaction of 2-methyl-6-p-bromophenyl-3,5-hexadiyn-2-ol with alcohols and ketones
