Starch belongs to the polyglucan group. This type of polysaccharide shows a broad β-relaxation process in dielectric spectra at low temperatures, which has its molecular origin in orientational motions of sugar rings via glucosidic linkages. This chain dynamic was investigated for α(1,4)-linked starch oligomers with well-defined chain lengths of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 anhydroglucose units (AGUs) and for α(1,4)-polyglucans with average degrees of polymerization of 5, 10, 56, 70, and so forth (up to 3000; calculated from the mean molecular weight). The activation energy (Ea) of the segmental chain motion was lowest for dimeric maltose (Ea = 49.4 ± 1.3 kJ/mol), and this was followed by passage through a maximum at a degree of polymerization of 6 (Ea = 60.8 ± 1.8 kJ/mol). Subsequently, Ea leveled off at a value of about 52 ± 1.5 kJ/mol for chains containing more than 100 repeating units. The results were compared with the values of cellulose-like oligomers and polymers bearing a β(1,4)-linkage. Interestingly, the shape of the Ea dependency on the chain length of the molecules was qualitatively the same for both systems, whereas quantitatively the starch-like substances generally showed higher Ea values. Additionally, and for comparison, three cyclodextrins were measured by dielectric relaxation spectroscopy. The ringlike molecules, with 6, 7, and 8 α(1,4)-linked AGUs, showed moderately different types of dielectric spectra. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In the present paper, Daubechies' wavelets and the computation of their scaling coefficients are briefly reviewed. Then a new method of computation is proposed. This method is based on the work [7] concerning a new orthonormality condition and relations among scaling moments, respectively. For filter lengths up to 16, the arising system can be explicitly solved with algebraic methods like Gröbner bases. Its simple structure allows one to find quickly all possible solutions.  相似文献

Three quadrupolar oligophenylenevinylenes with five rings in the conjugated backbone, terminal donor groups, and various acceptors and/or donors along the backbone were synthesized and their two-photon spectroscopic properties investigated. These chromophores exhibit large two-photon absorption cross sections over a wide wavelength range and two distinct peaks, the strongest of which (deltamax > 3600 GM) is observed at 960-970 nm, a wavelength close to twice the value of the linear absorption maximum (2lambda(1)max). The findings on these chromophores are compared with those for analogous molecules with shorter conjugation length, for which the main two-photon band is at significantly shorter wavelength than 2lambda(1)max.  相似文献

Light-dependent oxygen uptake was observed and studied in thylakoids from early greening barley in comparison to oxygen uptake in chlorophyll solutions and in thylakoids from fully green leaves. Substantial oxygen uptake was observed in chlorophyll solutions supplemented with tryptophan, histidine, ascorbic acid or linoleic acid. This uptake was diminished by adding azide, beta-carotene and alpha-tocopherol, which are specific singlet-oxygen quenchers. Illuminated thylakoids from greening barley also exhibited marked oxygen uptake that, likewise, was strongly quenched by azide. In comparison, azide was found not to affect oxygen uptake that is associated with the methyl viologen-catalyzed Mehler reaction. It is reasoned that in the first two cases the oxygen uptake arises from chlorophyll-photosensitized activation of oxygen to the singlet state and its consumption by exogenous or endogenous substrates. In greening, we propose that disorganized chlorophyll photo-sensitizes the oxygen uptake.  相似文献

Hydroboration of β-acetylenic alcohols followed by NaOH/H2O2 oxidation leads to hemiacetals of γ-aldols which are easily dehydrated to 2,3-dihydrofuran compounds. The reaction gives good yields with hindered alcohols and its stereochemistry may be controlled during the organometallic synthesis of the starting alcohol.  相似文献

The reaction of [Ni(Mes2Im)2] (1) (Mes2Im = 1,3-dimesityl-imidazolin-2-ylidene) with polyfluorinated arenes as well as mechanistic investigations concerning the insertion of 1 and [Ni(iPr2Im)2] (1ipr) (iPr2Im = 1,3-diisopropyl-imidazolin-2-ylidene) into the C–F bond of C6F6 is reported. The reaction of 1 with different fluoroaromatics leads to formation of the nickel fluoroaryl fluoride complexes trans-[Ni(Mes2Im)2(F)(ArF)] (ArF = 4-CF3-C6F42, C6F53, 2,3,5,6-C6F4N 4, 2,3,5,6-C6F4H 5, 2,3,5-C6F3H26, 3,5-C6F2H37) in fair to good yields with the exception of the formation of the pentafluorophenyl complex 3 (less than 20%). Radical species and other diamagnetic side products were detected for the reaction of 1 with C6F6, in line with a radical pathway for the C–F bond activation step using 1. The difluoride complex trans-[Ni(Mes2Im)2(F)2] (9), the bis(aryl) complex trans-[Ni(Mes2Im)2(C6F5)2] (15), the structurally characterized nickel(i) complex trans-[NiI(Mes2Im)2(C6F5)] (11) and the metal radical trans-[NiI(Mes2Im)2(F)] (12) were identified. Complex 11, and related [NiI(Mes2Im)2(2,3,5,6-C6F4H)] (13) and [NiI(Mes2Im)2(2,3,5-C6F3H2)] (14), were synthesized independently by reaction of trans-[Ni(Mes2Im)2(F)(ArF)] with PhSiH3. Simple electron transfer from 1 to C6F6 was excluded, as the redox potentials of the reaction partners do not match and [Ni(Mes2Im)2]+, which was prepared independently, was not detected. DFT calculations were performed on the insertion of [Ni(iPr2Im)2] (1ipr) and [Ni(Mes2Im)2] (1) into the C–F bond of C6F6. For 1ipr, concerted and NHC-assisted pathways were identified as having the lowest kinetic barriers, whereas for 1, a radical mechanism with fluoride abstraction and an NHC-assisted pathway are both associated with almost the same kinetic barrier.

A combined experimental and theoretical study on the mechanism of the C–F bond activation of C6F6 with [Ni(NHC)2] is provided.  相似文献

Organophosphorus pesticides are commonly used in both agricultural and residential settings. The widespread use of these chemicals makes it almost impossible for humans to avoid exposure. In order to determine background human exposure, there is a need for fast, reliable, and sensitive analytical methods. We have developed a sensitive method to quantify specific biomarkers of the organophosphorus pesticides acephate, azinphos, chlorpyrifos, coumaphos, diazinon, isazofos, malathion, methamidophos, parathion and pirimiphos or their O,O-dimethyl analogues in human urine, as their selective metabolites or as the intact pesticide. Isotopically labeled internal standards were used for eight of the analytes. The use of labeled internal standards in combination with high-performance liquid chromatography electrospray ionization–tandem mass spectrometry provided a high degree of specificity. Repeated analysis of urine samples fortified with high and low concentrations of the analytes gave relative standard deviations (RSD) of less than 10% for the analytes with an isotopically labeled standard. Analytes without isotopically labeled standards had higher RSD. For all compounds except methamidophos and acephate, the recoveries were greater than 70%. The limits of quantification for most of the analytes were in the range of 0.1 to 1 ng/mL. We detected concentrations of most of these pesticides and/or their metabolites in urine samples from non-occupationally exposed persons using our method. Our frequencies of detection for the analytes measured ranged from 1% to 98%.  相似文献

Hydrogen bonding and metallophilic attractions are studied in the model systems: [(AuNH3Cl)2], [(AuNH(CH3)2Cl)2], [{Au2(μ‐SH)(PH2O)(PH2OH)}2], [(CuNH3Cl)2], and [{Cu(NH3)Cl}4] at the Hartree–Fock (HF) and second‐order Møller–Plesset (MP2) levels. The two interactions are found to be comparable and prevailing in the final structure. It is determined that the aurophilic contact has a same magnitude that the hydrogen bonding, and is stronger than the cuprophilic interaction. We show that the four studied 4-hydrindenones (with or without a methyl substituant at C3 or C7a) give by hydrogenation on Raney nickel or on Pd/C, in various solvants, the cis 4-hydrindanones, by a kinetically controlled process. During the hydrogenation, the double bond can migrate only in the positions conjugated to the carbonyl group.In contrast, when the carbonyle is protected as a dioxolanne, the double bond is free to migrate around the five membered ring. In spite of this mobility the optical purity of the saturated dioxolannes formed is high. In the case of the (+)3-methyl Δ3(3a) 4-hydrindenone, the enantiomeric hydrindanones 9a obtained by direct hydrogenation or with isomerization of the double bond are not the same. Therefore, the optical purity of the product is low, but its value allows an estimation of the relative importance of the two reaction pathways.  相似文献
