Asymmetric Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reactions of selected meso-α-dicarbonyl compounds with chiral phosphonate reagents, which possessed axially dissymmetric 1,1′-bi-2- or 8-naphthol at the carboxylate moiety as a chiral auxiliary, were examined. The reactions proceeded smoothly with good chemical yields as well as with high diastereoselectivities. Z-olefins were preferentially formed, and it was found that the free hydroxy group at the 2′- or 8′-position on the naphthalene ring plays a crucial role in the high diastereoselectivity, probably due to a complex-induced proximity effect. Mechanistic considerations are also described. 相似文献
The interfacial tension gamma of the hexane solution of 1H,1H-perfluorononanol (FDFC(9)OH) and its omega-hydrogenated analogue, 1H,1H,9H-perfluorononanol (HDFC(9)OH), against water was measured as a function of pressure and concentration at 298.15 K in order to clarify the effect of omega-dipole on the orientation of fluorononanol molecules from the viewpoint of volume. The adsorbed films of both alcohols exhibit two kinds of phase transitions among three different states: the gaseous, expanded, and condensed states. The partial molar volume changes of adsorption - in the expanded and condensed states were evaluated and compared between the two systems. The - values of both alcohols are negative, and thus the alcohol molecules have smaller volume in the adsorbed film than in the bulk solution. Furthermore, the value was obtained through the evaluation of by the density measurement of the bulk hexane solution. It was found that the value of HDFC(9)OH is smaller than that of FDFC(9)OH in the condensed state. On the basis of three matters concerning the molecular structure of alcohols, the occupied area at the interface, and the orientation of FDFC(9)OH in the adsorbed film deduced from the earlier results of X-ray reflectivity measurement, the mean tilt angle of HDFC(9)OH from the interface normal in the condensed film was estimated to be 15 degrees . The thermodynamic estimation demonstrated here is highly valuable one to provide structure information on an adsorbed film. 相似文献
We studied the stepwise formation constants (β) of water-soluble diglycolamide (DGA) and dioxaoctanediamide (DOODA) for the mutual separation of Ln in a solvent extraction system. TODGA (N,N,N?,N?-tetraoctyl-diglycolamide) and DOODA(C8) (N,N,N?,N?-tetraoctyl-dioxaoctanediamide) exhibit opposite behaviors in extracting both light and heavy Ln through Ln-patterns. Metal complexes of two- and three-folding with water-soluble DOODA and DGA, respectively, were found, and each β value was calculated using distribution ratios. Taking β, their distribution ratio, D, and separation factor, SF, values into consideration, the suitable separation conditions (aqueous phase: 30 mM DOODA(C2) in 1 M HNO3; organic phase: 0.1 M TODGA in n-dodecane) of multistage extraction (10?×?10 extraction using aqueous and organic phases, including one sample solution) were determined. In this study, La, Pr, and Nd were mainly present in the aqueous phase, whereas Sm–Dy existed in the organic phase. Although these two groups can be easily separated into two phases, the resolution, Rs, values provide for little mutual separation between La–Nd and Sm–Dy under the present conditions.
Peripherally metalated porphyrinoids are promising functional π‐systems displaying characteristic optical, electronic, and catalytic properties. In this work, 5‐(2‐pyridyl)‐ and 5,10,15‐tri(2‐pyridyl)‐BIII‐subporphyrins were prepared and used to produce cyclometalated subporphyrins by reactions with [Cp*IrCl2]2, which proceeded through an efficient C?H activation to give the corresponding mono‐ and tri‐IrIII complexes, respectively. While the mono‐IrIII complex was obtained as a diastereomeric mixture, a C3‐symmetric tri‐IrIII complex with the three Cp*‐units all at the concave side was predominantly obtained in a high yield of 90 %, which displays weak NIR phosphorescence even at room temperature in degassed CH2Cl2, differently from the mono‐IrIII complexes. 相似文献
While oxidation of 5,5′,15,15′‐tetramesityl‐10‐10′‐linked 3NH‐corrole dimer with DDQ gave the corresponding triply linked 2NH‐corrole tape, the use of an equimolar amount of p‐chloranil as a milder oxidant resulted in the formation of a 10‐10′‐linked neutral 2NH‐corrole radical dimer as a stable product. The stability of this peculiar product is ascribed largely to strong antiferromagnetic interaction of the two spins. Further oxidation of this diradical produced corrole tape, suggesting its involvement as a reaction intermediate to the corrole tape. Oxidation of 10‐10′‐linked bis‐pyridine‐coordinated CoIII corrole dimer with DDQ produced a cobalt corrole radical dimer and a doubly linked corrole dimer both as stable compounds bearing pyridine and cyanide axial ligands. This type of oxidative transformation involving neutral diradical intermediates is a unique reaction mechanism specific for corrole dimers. 相似文献
Dodecavanadate, [V12O32]4? (V12), possesses a 4.4 Å cavity entrance, and the cavity shows unique electrophilicity. Owing to the high polarizability, Br2 was inserted into V12, inducing the inversion of one of the VO5 square pyramids to form [V12O32(Br2)]4? (V12(Br2)). The inserted Br2 molecule was polarized and showed a peak at 185 cm?1 in the IR spectrum. The reaction of V12(Br2) and toluene yielded bromination of toluene at the ring, showing the electrophilicity of the inserted Br2 molecule. Compound V12(Br2) also reacted with propane, n‐butane, and n‐pentane to give brominated alkanes. Bromination with V12(Br2) showed high selectivity for 3‐bromopentane (64 %) among the monobromopentane products and preferred threo isomer among 2‐,3‐dibromobutane and 2,3‐dibromopenane. The unique inorganic cavity traps Br2 leading the polarization of the diatomic molecule. Owing to its new reaction field, the trapped Br2 shows selective functionalization of alkanes. 相似文献
Electrically contacted gold-nanocluster arrays formed within electromigration-induced break junctions exhibit bright, field-dependent electroluminescence in the near infrared (650-800 nm). Intensity autocorrelation of spatially isolated individual nanocluster emission driven at high electrical frequency (f(ac)= approximately 200 MHz) reveals antibunched electroluminescence at room temperature. These results demonstrate the single quantum nature of several-atom gold molecules and suggest their use as room-temperature electrically driven single-photon sources. 相似文献
