The paper presents and summarizes some research on constant magnetic field effects in chemistry. Metals and alloys electrodeposited under constant magnetic field have greater thickness and smoother surface with finest grains. Metallic materials deposited under the influence of uniform magnetic field may have stronger corrosion resistance, than those obtained without the presence of magnetic field. Constant magnetic field also causes an increase of the electropolymerization rate and yield of some organic reactions. Our research also shows that the presence of constant magnetic field affects the electrodeposition process of alloys and their morphology to a great extent. The effects of magnetic field on metals, alloys, composites, polymers and other materials are due to the Lorentz force and the magnetohydrodynamic effect. It is possible that the further development of magnetoelectrodeposition will allow for using the constant magnetic field to improve the properties of metal coatings, alloys, polymers, and other materials in the industry.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to identify polyphenolic compounds contained in ethanol and water extracts of black alder (Alnus glutinosa L.) acorns and evaluate their anti-cancer and antimicrobial effects. The significant anti-cancer potential on the human skin epidermoid carcinoma cell line A431 and the human epithelial cell line A549 derived from lung carcinoma tissue was observed. Aqueous and ethanolic extracts of alder acorns inhibited the growth of mainly Gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Streptococcus mutans) and yeast-like fungi (Candida albicans, Candida glabrata), as well as Gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Citrobacter freundii, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) strains. The identification of polyphenols was carried out using an ACQUITY UPLC-PDA-MS system. The extracts were composed of 29 compounds belonging to phenolic acids, flavonols, ellagitannins and ellagic acid derivatives. Ellagitannins were identified as the predominant phenolics in ethanol and aqueous extract (2171.90 and 1593.13 mg/100 g DM, respectively) The results may explain the use of A. glutinosa extracts in folk medicine.  相似文献

Dietary supplements are widely available products used by millions of people around the world. Unfortunately, the procedure of adding pharmaceutical and psychoactive substances has recently been observed, in order to increase the effectiveness of supplements in the form of hemp oils. For this reason, it is extremely important to develop analytical methods for the detection of substances prohibited in dietary supplements and food products. In the present study, using the LC–MS/MS technique, an innovative method for the detection and quantification of 117 synthetic cannabinoids and 13 natural cannabinoids in dietary supplements and food products in the form of oils during one 13-min chromatographic run was developed. Each method was fully validated by characterization of the following parameters: The limit of detection was set to 0.1 ng/mL (100 µg/g, 0.01%). The limit of quantification ranged from 0.05 ng/mL to 50 ng/mL. The criteria assumed for systematic error caused by methodological bias (±20%) resulting from the recovery of analytes after the extraction process, as well as the coefficient of variation (CV) (≤20%), were met for all 130 tested compounds. The positive results of the validation confirmed that the developed methods met the requirements related to the adequacy of their application in a given scope. Additionally, methods developed using the LC–MS/MS technique were verified via proficiency tests. The developed analytical procedure was successfully used in the analysis of hemp oils and capsules containing them in the studied dietary supplements.  相似文献

A number of studies indicate that DNA sequences such as AATT and TTAA have significantly different physical and interaction properties. To probe these interaction differences in detail and determine the influence of charge, we have synthesized three bisbenzimidazole derivatives, a diamidine, DB185, and monoamidines, DB183 and DB210, that are related to the well-known minor groove agent, Hoechst 33258. Footprinting studies with several natural and designed DNA fragments indicate that the synthetic compounds bind at AT sequences in the minor groove and interact more weakly at sites with TpA steps relative to sites without such steps. Circular dichroism spectroscopy also indicates that the compounds bind in the DNA minor groove. Surprisingly, Tm studies as a function of ratio indicate that the monoamidines bind to TTAA sequences as dimers, whereas the diamidine binds as a monomer. Biosensor-surface plasmon resonance (SPR) studies allowed us to quantitate the interaction differences in more detail. SPR results clearly show that the monoamidine compounds bind to the TTAA sequence in a cooperative 2:1 complex but bind as monomers to AATT. The dication binds to both sequences in monomer complexes but the binding to AATT is significantly stronger than binding to TTAA. Molecular dynamics simulations indicate that the AATT sequence has a narrow time-average minor groove width that is a very good receptor site for the bisbenzimidazole compounds. The groove in TTAA sequences is wider and the width must be reduced to form a favorable monomer complex. The monocations thus form cooperative dimers that stack in an antiparallel orientation and closely fit the structure of the TTAA minor groove. The amidine groups in the dimer are oriented in the 5' direction of the strand to which they are closest. Charge repulsion in the dication apparently keeps it from forming the dimer. It instead reduces the TTAA groove width, in an induced fit process, sufficiently to form a minor groove complex. The dimer-binding mode of DB183 and DB210 is a new DNA recognition motif and offers novel design concepts for selective targeting of DNA sequences with a wider minor groove, including those with TpA steps.  相似文献

We perform a detailed numerical study of transient Taylor vortices arising from the instability of cylindrical Couette flow with the exterior cylinder at rest for radius ratio η = 0.5 and variable aspect ratio Γ. The result of Abshagen et al. (J Fluid Mech 476:335–343, 2003) that onset transients apparently evolve on a much smaller time–scale than decay transients is recovered. It is shown to be an artefact of time scale estimations based on the Stuart–Landau amplitude equation which assumes frozen space dependence while full space–time dependence embedded in the Ginzburg–Landau formalism needs to be taken into account to understand transients already at moderate aspect ratio. Sub-critical pattern induction is shown to explain the apparently anomalous behaviour of the system at onset while decay follows the Stuart–Landau prediction more closely. The dependence of time scales on boundary effects is studied for a wide range of aspect ratios, including non-integer ones, showing general agreement with the Ginzburg–Landau picture able to account for solutions modulated by Ekman pumping at the disks bounding the cylinders.   相似文献

Fused dihydrooxazoles are produced by the reaction of 8‐bromoteophylline (1), 6‐bromo‐2‐pyridone (7), or 2‐bromobenzimidazole (11) with an N‐substituted N‐(2,3‐epoxypropyl)amine. The synthesis of fourteen mono-cationic and six dicationic analogs of Hoechst 33258 is described. The monocationic benzimiazoles 7a-7g and the dicationic benzimidazoles 9a-9c are obtained in five steps starting from 4-acetamidobenzonitrile. The monocationic bis-benzimiazoles 12a-12g are synthesized in four steps starting from 4-amino-3-nitrobenzonitrile. The dicationic bis-benzimiazoles 17a-17c are obtained in six steps starting from 4-amino-3-nitrobenzonitrile.  相似文献

The present study demonstrates a reinvestigation of the mitochondrial DNA sequence heteroplasmy, which was previously found by the use of nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique in single hairs of 13 individuals. The direct PCR approach was used for the amplification of mitochondrial DNA and a phylogenetic analysis was applied to both data sets for the verification of the authenticity of sequences. The comparative analysis of the sequencing results obtained from the same hair DNA extracts - but using two different techniques - shows that direct mitochondrial DNA amplification results in a considerably lower number of mixed positions. The majority of the confirmed heteroplasmic variants preferentially occurs in mitochondrial DNA hypervariable sites (mutational hotspots). However, the pattern of heteroplasmic mutations observed in four extracts after nested PCR significantly differs from the pattern of natural mutations. Some of these rare polymorphisms should be revised as inconsistent with phylogenetic expectations. The results of the present study contribute to the earlier reports by indicating that phylogenetic analysis is an effective tool in a posteriori quality check of mitochondrial DNA data.  相似文献
