A Preparative Synthesis of 1-Amino-3-hydroxypropylphosphonic Acid (Phosphonic Analogue of Homoserine)

A novel procedure for the preparation of the phosphonic analogue of homoserine is described starting from the commercially available 4-acetoxy-azetidin-2-one.     

Synthesis of New 3-Benzyloxycarbonylamino-1,2-oxaphospholanes

Benzyloxycarbonylamino-1,2-oxaphos-pholane 1b, unknown so far, was synthesized by the phospholactonisation of N-Cbz-homoserine-P. dimethyl ester followed by a deprotection step.
