Research of extraction in system Ln(NO3)3-sodium dodecyl sulfate-isooctyl alcohol

Extraction in a system sodium dodecyl sulfate-aqueous solution of a lanthanide salt-isooctyl alcohol was examined in the study. It was found that a distribution ratio was varied from 120 to 480 in a pH range of 3–6. Gibbs energy of solvation was determined: Δ _s G°₂₉₈ = ?70.00 ± 1.30 kJ mol^?1.     

Thermodynamic properties of lanthanum(III) and holmium(III) hydroxo compounds

Conductometric and potentiometric titration experiments were performed to determine the pH values of hydroxo compound formation in solutions of lanthanum(III) and holmium(III) nitrates. The instability constants of monohydroxo complexes, the solubility product constants of hydroxides, and the Gibbs energies of formation of the corresponding compounds are calculated.     

Ion flotation of rare-earth metals with sodium dodecyl sulfate

Ion flotation of rare-earth metals with sodium dodecyl sulfate and the effect of chloride ions on this process were studied. Values of the distribution coefficients were obtained.     

Experimental Study of Zirconium(IV) Extraction from Fluoride-Containing Acid Solutions

Zirconium(IV) extraction from acid solutions was studied, and the optimal parameters of the process were found. Extractants for zirconium(IV) recovery from nitric and sulfuric acid solutions in the presence of fluoride ions were selected. The distribution coefficients of zirconium(IV) and fluoride ion were determined.     

Sorption of Iron(II) on Ferromanganese Nodules

The dynamic capacity, specific surface area, grindability, and wearability of filter materials based on pyrolusite were determined. Solvent sublation of yttrium ions from dilute aqueous solutions by use of sodium dodecyl sulfate

Capacity of the adsorption-bubble separation method, solvent sublation, for recovery of trace amounts of yttrium was experimentally determined. The optimal process conditions and kinetic aspects of the solvent sublation were determined for solutions containing yttrium ions and sodium dodecyl sulfate as a collecting agent. It was found that the structure of sublates recovered into the organic phase varies with the solution pH.     

Isotherm of Pb-Na cation exchange on iron-manganese concretions

Isotherm of Pb²⁺ and Na²⁺ cation exchange on iron-manganese concretions was studied. The ion exchange was described by a modified Langmuir equations. The limiting sorption and apparent ion-exchange constant were calculated.     

Exchange Isotherm of Strontium(II) and Iron(III) Ions on Clay

Joint sorption of Sr^{2 +} and Fe^{3 +} ions on blue Cambrian clay was studied. A relationship between the isotherm of ideal ion exchange and the Langmuir sorption isotherm was revealed. The apparent constant and Gibbs energy of exchange of Sr^{2 +} and Fe^{3 +} ions on blue Cambrian clay were calculated.     

Extraction of Ce(III) with naphthenic acid from nitrate solutions

Extraction of Ce(III) with naphthenic acid from nitrate solutions was studied. The composition of solvation complexes, extraction constants, and Gibbs energies of extraction were found from the dependences of the distribution coefficients on pH and compositions of the aqueous and organic phases.
