Cyanoacetylation of 6-aminouracils. Synthesis of 7-aminopyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-2,4,5-triones

6-Aminouracils and N-substituted derivatives are cyanoacetylated to give 5-cyanoacetyl-6-aminouracils. In the presence of bases these are converted to pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-2,4,5-triones in high yields.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 7, pp. 971–975, July, 1990.     

Prognostication criterion of potential and practical use of analytical reagents in titrimetria of individual substances

Various possible criterion in titrimetric methods have been discussed in this paper and more informative, visual and universal criterion-the degree of proceeding of individual reaction at the equivalence point have been chosen. The equation for the degree of proceeding of individual analytical reaction suited for any chemical reactions under real conditions with an allowance made for both component and titrant concentration have been deduced. This criterion allows us to make a prognosis of any parametres of a titrimetric procedure of an individual substance determination and the procedure as a whole, not having carried out the experiment.     

Synthesis,structures, and magnetic properties of crystals of dinuclear copper(II) and cobalt(II) complexes with 3-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-6-R-1,2,4,5-tetrazines

Dinuclear complexes of Cu^II with 3-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-6-(2-hydroxyethylami-no)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (1) and CoII with 3-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-6-(piperidin-1-yl)-1,2,4,5- tetrazine (2) were synthesized and structurally characterized, and the magnetic (SQUID) and resonance (EPR) properties of van der Waals crystals based on these complexes were studied. Unusual behavior of the effective magnetic moment μ_eff(T) is observed at T < 60 K. A nonmonotonic increase in μeff(?) for 1 (s~6 %) and a 20% reduction of μeff(?) for 2 have a common origin and are due to the influence of spin-orbital coupling on the character of the splitting between the t2g and eg levels of the central ion. Distortions of the coordination site “switch on” a positive (1) or negative (2) contribution of the orbital magnetic moment near 6 K. Irreversible temperature behavior of μeff(T) in the heating and cooling regimes in the vicinity of 60 K suggests that the character of structural distortions and the magnetic properties are related to ligand geometry. This factor plays a significant role in crystal engineering of magnetoactive structures with polynitrogen ligands.     

On the composition of copper(II), cobalt(II), and nickel(II) complexes with some 3,6-disubstituted 1,2,4,5-tetrazines

Complex formation in the systems containing copper(II), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) ions (M) and 3-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-6-R-1,2,4,5-tetrazines (R = 2-hydroxyethylamino, piperidino) (L) was studied by voltammetry and spectrophotometry. Cu(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) were found to form complex compounds with derivatives of 1,2,4,5-tetrazine with the ratio of the components M:L = 1:1. The complex stability constants were determined.

Dithiooxamide and derivatives are widely used in analitical chemistry. They are sulfur-containing analitical reagents and form stable chelated compounds with sulfide forming metal ions. Reagents of this class are used in spectrophotometric methods of analysis and potentiometric titration.     

Using of Dithiooxamide Alkali Solution in Potentiometric Titration

Ditiooxamid is sulfur-containing organic reagent, which forms stable chelate complexes with many sulfide forming metal ions. This reagent is widely using, in spectrophotometric methods of analysis.
