A base-free rhodium-catalyzed Mizoroki-Heck (M-H) reaction using potassium aryltrifluoroborates as the arylating agent of alkenes and acetone as a green "oxidant" is described. Thanks to the ready availability of organoboranes, this reaction should constitute an interesting alternative to conventional M-H reactions using aryl halides.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to quantify the daily intake and target hazard quotient of four essential elements, namely, chromium, cobalt, nickel, and copper, and four toxic trace elements, mercury, cadmium, lead, and arsenic. Thirty food items were assigned to five food categories (seeds, leaves, powders, beans, and fruits) and analyzed using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. Factor analysis after principal component extraction revealed common metal patterns in all foodstuffs, and using hierarchical cluster analysis, an association map was created to illustrate their similarity. The results indicate that the internationally recommended dietary allowance was exceeded for Cu and Cr in 27 and 29 foodstuffs, respectively. According to the tolerable upper level for Ni and Cu, everyday consumption of these elements through repeated consumption of seeds (fennel, opium poppy, and cannabis) and fruits (almond) can have adverse health effects. Moreover, a robust correlation between Cu and As (p < 0.001) was established when all samples were analyzed. Principal component analysis (PCA) demonstrated an association between Pb, As, Co, and Ni in one group and Cr, Cu, Hg, and Cd in a second group, comprising 56.85% of the total variance. For all elements investigated, the cancer risk index was within safe limits, highlighting that lifetime consumption does not increase the risk of carcinogens.  相似文献

Based on an empirical study, we explore children’s primary and secondary perceptions on infinity. When discussing infinity, children seem to highlight three categories of primary perceptions: processional, topological, and spiritual. Based on their processional perception, children see the set of natural numbers as being infinite and endow Q with a discrete structure by making transfers from N to Q. In a continuous context, children are more likely to mobilize a topological perception. Evidence for a secondary perception of N arises from students’ propensities to develop infinite sequences of natural numbers, and from their ability to prove that N is infinite. Children’s perceptions on infinity change along the school years. In general, the perceptual dominance moves from sequential (processional) to topological across development. However, we found that around 11-13 years old, processional and topological perceptions interfere with each other, while before and after this age they seem to coexist and collaborate, one or the other being specifically activated by the nature of different tasks.  相似文献

The phytochemical analysis of Vinca minor, V. herbacea, V. major, and V. major var. variegata leaf extracts showed species-dependent antioxidant, antibacterial, and cytotoxic effects correlated with the identified phytoconstituents. Vincamine was present in V. minor, V. major, and V. major var. variegata, while V. minor had the richest alkaloid content, followed by V. herbacea. V. major var. variegata was richest in flavonoids and the highest total phenolic content was found in V. herbacea which also had elevated levels of rutin. Consequently, V. herbacea had the highest antioxidant activity followed by V. major var. variegata. Whereas, the lowest one was of V. major. The V. minor extract showed the most efficient inhibitory effect against both Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli. On the other hand, V. herbacea had a good anti-bacterial potential only against S. aureus, which was most affected at morphological levels, as indicated by scanning electron microscopy. The Vinca extracts acted in a dose-depended manner against HaCaT keratinocytes and A375 melanoma cells and moreover, with effects on the ultrastructure, nitric oxide concentration, and lactate dehydrogenase release. Therefore, the Vinca species could be exploited further for the development of alternative treatments in bacterial infections or as anticancer adjuvants.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Water contamination by toxic metals through the discharge of industrial wastewater is a worldwide environmental problem. Heavy metals are currently regarded as important pollutants, becoming a severe public health problem. The adsorption from aqueous solutions of trace metals using metal-organic framework, graphene oxide, or partially reduced graphene oxide was characterized by batch measurements. The choice of these materials was made based on their high surface areas, controlled porosities, and the ability to vary the surface hydrophilicity. These materials were prepared by modified standard protocols to meet project requirements. The adsorption potential of these materials was characterized for several metals.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The 13C stable isotopic composition of 38 pharmaceutical products was investigated for six medicine analgesics classes ibuprofen, diclofenac, paracetamol, metamizole, ketoprofene, and combinations containing paracetamol to evaluate differences between manufacturers and production batches. Complementary measurements were performed by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. Linear discriminant analysis was applied on experimental obtained data set for differentiation of three investigated drug types. The carbon isotopic compositions were between ?32.9 and ?22.6‰. The lowest values of 13C (mean of ?31.3‰) were obtained for metamizole from all six categories of investigated analgesics. The highest δ13C values were obtained for diclofenac (mean of ?25.9‰). The most accurate elemental predictors were V, Al, Sb, As, Pb, and Mn.  相似文献

Honey is considered a desirable ingredient in a range of different foodstuffs because of its nutrient and therapeutic effect. The honey characteristics mainly depend on the type of vegetation visited by the bees and the climatic conditions in which the plants are growing. Therefore, the purity, floral and geographical origin and authenticity are important factors influencing the overall perception of honey and honey‐based products in terms of quality and price. An important parameter in this picture is the elemental composition of honey because it can be linked with the floral type of honey, floral plant density and the botanical origin of nectar and pollens. In this work, the concentration range variation of 18 elements (Al, As, Ba, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, K, Pb, Sr, Ti, V and Zn) was investigated in four varieties of honey (linden, acacia, rape, and sunflower) originating from Romania, because the elemental profile of honey may give important information to differentiate its geographical and varietal origin for authenticity purpose. All the determinations were carried out by inductively coupled plasma quadrupole mass spectrometry (ICP‐Q‐MS). The most abundant minerals decreased in the following order: K > Ca > Mg > Na, having the mean values of 248.70, 59.97, 20.54 and 11.92 mg kg?1, respectively. The mineral content marks the differences in honey samples from different botanical origin and can be used as a tool for authentication purposes and also extends its applicability to assess the traceability of honey. Analysis of variance showed the preliminary relationships between the elements and samples. Further, the discrimination between different studied honey samples was achieved by principal component analysis (PCA). The multivariate analysis of the data allowed us to separate the honey samples into distinct groups according to their macroelement and microelement composition, emphasizing the origin of variation of element concentrations by honey type. Therefore, this approach might be potentially useful for the control of honey quality, origin or authenticity, and even to use the honey as environmental tracer.  相似文献

Mass spectrometry analyses carried out on mass spectrometers equipped with soft ionization sources demonstrated their utility in the assessment of the formation of noncovalent complexes and the localization of the binding sites. Direct analyses by mass spectrometry of the noncovalent complex formed in acidic and mildly acidic environments by amyloid beta (1–40) peptide and oleuropein have been previously described, and, in several studies, the absorption, metabolism, excretion, and the implications in the prevention and therapy of Alzheimer’s disease of oleuropein have been investigated. Our paper presents modifications of the method previously employed for noncovalent complex observation, namely, the amyloid beta (1–40) pretreatment, followed by an increase in the pH and replacement of the chemical environment from ammonium acetate to ammonium bicarbonate. The formation of noncovalent complexes with one or two molecules of oleuropein was detected in all chemical solutions used, and the amyloid beta (17–28) binding site was identified via proteolytic experiments using trypsin prior to and after noncovalent complex formation. Our results highlight the importance of further studies on the effect of oleuropein against amyloid beta aggregation.  相似文献
