An experimental study of the thermal decomposition of a β‐hydroxy alkene, 3‐methyl‐3‐buten‐1‐ol, in m‐xylene solution, has been carried out at five different temperatures in the range of 513.15–563.15 K. The temperature dependence of the rate constants for the decomposition of this compound in the corresponding Arrhenius equation is given by ln k (s?1) = (25.65 ± 1.52) ? (17,944 ± 814) (kJ·mol?1T?1. A computational study has been carried out at the M05–2X/6–31+G(d,p) level of theory to calculate the rate constants and the activation parameters by the classical transition state theory. There is a good agreement between the experimental and calculated rate constants and activation Gibbs energies. The bonding characteristics of reactant, transition state, and products have been investigated by the natural bond orbital analysis, which provides the natural atomic charges and the Wiberg bond indices. Based on the results obtained, the mechanism proposed is a one‐step process proceeding through a six‐membered cyclic transition state, being a concerted and slightly asynchronous process. The results have been compared with those obtained previously by us (Struct Chem 2013, 24, 1811–1816) for the thermal decomposition of 3‐buten‐1‐ol, in m‐xylene solution. We can conclude that in the compound studied in this work, 3‐methyl‐3‐buten‐1‐ol, the effect of substitution at position 3 by a weakly activating CH3 group is the stabilization of the transition state formed in the reaction and therefore a small increase in the rate of thermal decomposition.  相似文献

The mixing enthalpies of blends of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) with poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) (SAN) were investigated by analogue calorimetry through the determination of the excess enthalpies of pseudobinary model mixtures corresponding to the addition of methyl-i-butyrate to a binary mixture of acetonitrile or propionitrile plus toluene or ethylbenzene. A group contribution procedure, based on UNIQUAC equation, was also devised and the polymeric mixing enthalpies were calculated from properly defined group contributions. Enthalpies for polymeric interactions were introduced into the Flory-Huggins equation and the miscibility window of PMMA-SAN mixtures was calculated. The results show a qualitative agreement with the experimental miscibility data and indicate that both the analogue calorimetry and the group contribution procedures yield correct results when acetonitrile, and not propionitrile, is chosen as the model for the polyacrylonitrile repeat unit of the copolymer. A micrometric silica modified with perylene derivative (SiO2–TES) has been prepared by hydrolysis–condensation reactions between silica and N,N’-bis-(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)-perylene-tetracarboxyldiimide (P-TES) and utilized as filler in LLDPE films together with a compatibilizer. Spectroscopic analyses on SiO2–TES confirmed the grafting of P-TES on silica, while its amount was determined by thermogravimetric analysis. Solid state NMR provided information about the structure of silicon atoms involved in the condensation of SiO2 and P-TES that resulted mainly in silicon atoms grafted with bi-dentate anchorages.UV–Vis and fluorescence analyses carried out on P-TES showed the ability of the dye to generate J-type aggregates in apolar solvents. The same analyses on SiO2–TES revealed the presence of both isolated and aggregated dye molecules grafted on silica surface, while on polymeric dispersions of SiO2–TES, they have shown only the presence of P-TES aggregates grafted to silica.Thanks to the direct correlation between optical properties (obtained both by UV–Vis and by fluorescence analyses) and the chemical environment of composites, the luminescent silica SiO2–TES could be used to estimate the filler dispersion extent in different microcomposite polymer materials.  相似文献

The Met tyrosine kinase receptor is the only known receptor for hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). Downstream Met signaling is essential for embryonic development; however, aberrant Met signaling promotes tumor progression by facilitating cell proliferation, survival, migration, invasion, and metastasis. Tumor cell invasion is considered an important step in distant metastatic foci formation. Several recent reviews have focused on the pleiotropic effects of Met signaling in both tumor cells and in the surrounding stromal cells. This review will summarize the currently described mechanisms driving Met induced tumor cell progression and invasion, the role played by cells in the tumor stroma, and therapeutic approaches to block receptor activity. In addition, this review will also highlight two new areas of development: 1) attenuation of Met signaling via multiple mechanisms of action targeting tumor cells and cells in the surrounding stroma using plant-derived polyphenols and 2) the induction by HGF of atypical lysosome trafficking, leading to increased protease secretion and tumor cell invasion. These new areas of research will help to uncover novel therapeutic targets to block the HGF/Met signaling axis to slow cancer progression.  相似文献

The current study provides a way of extraction for both active NSO and WSE from Nigella sativa seeds using 98% methanol. About 1?kg of ground seeds was macerated by 1:2.5 w/v (g/mL) for 72?hours. After rotary evaporation and 7 days of continuous drying and chilling at 50 and 4?°C, NSO and WSE were obtained at the same instant. Solubility tests of 24 solvents and 11 thin layer chromatographic analyses while 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging assay of NSO (73.66) , WSE (33.32) and NSO?+?WSE (78.22) against ascorbic acid (IC50?=?4.28?mg/mL) was performed. WSE was found to be highly soluble in water and 5% NaOH exhibiting the same Rf value of 0.95 for EtOH:DMSO (9:1) against the honey. WSE has revealed more than twofold higher anti-oxidant activity than others. Formulation of WSE with Tualang honey may provide better targeted hydrophilic drug delivery systems.  相似文献
