We investigate multiphoton states generated by high-gain optical parametric amplification of a single injected photon—polarization encoded as a qubit. The experimental configuration exploits the optimal phase-covariant cloning. The output state of the apparatus is found to exhibit the quantum superposition property of mesoscopic multiphoton assemblies involving about 300 photons. This work represents an experimental advance toward the test of several fundamental quantum processes in mesoscopic or macroscopic frameworks.  相似文献

The molecular beam Fourier transform microwave spectrum of 1,4-dioxane-trifluoromethane has been assigned and measured. The two subunits form a cage stabilized by one C-H...O and two C-H...F weak hydrogen bonds. The C-H...O link involves the axial lone pair of one of the two equivalent ring oxygens, while the two C-H...F bridges connect trifluoromethane to the two axial hydrogens in positions 3 and 5. The dissociation energy has been estimated from the D(J) centrifugal distortion parameter to be approximately 6.8 kJ/mol.  相似文献

The rotational spectra of four (GT, TT, TG, and GG) of the five possible conformers of 1-fluorobutane have been assigned by combining free jet and conventional microwave spectroscopy. The geometry optimization was performed at the MP2 (full) level of theory with the 6-31G (d) and 6-311G (d, p) basis sets and by using the B3LYP (3df, 3pd) density functional method. The relative stability of the five rotamers is calculated at the QCISD (T)/6-311G (d, p) level of theory. In spite of the fact that ab initio calculations indicated the unobserved GG' conformer to be more stable than at least one of the observed conformers it was not possible to detect its rotational spectrum. GT and TG are the most and the least stable species, respectively. The rotational spectra of several vibrational satellites of the four conformers have been studied by conventional microwave spectroscopy. The overall conformational equilibrium is governed by the two-dimensional potential energy surface of the skeletal torsions MeC-CC and FC-CC, which have been evaluated by a flexible model analysis, based on the experimental values of the relative conformational and vibrational energy spacings, and on the shifts of second moments of inertia upon conformational change and vibrational excitation. The relative energy of the fifth stable conformer (GG') was determined to be 333 cm(-1) from flexible model calculations, and to be 271 cm(-1) from the most accurate ab initio calculations.  相似文献

Monolayers of poly-methacrylates containing either aromatic or linear side groups were studied at the air-water interface. The aim of the work is to define the role of the aromatic group in determining the interfacial distribution and orientation of these polymers. Surface pressure measurements show that all the polymers give stable expanded monomolecular films between 288 K and 308 K temperature range.Surface potential and ellipsometric measurements show that both aromatic and aliphatic polymers are in an almost horizontal conformation at the liquid-air interface. From a comparison of the experimental isotherms with Huggins' theory, it was deduced that no preferential interactions exist between benzene rings in the film. In contrast, preferential attractive energies are observed for n-alkylmethacrylates.Further information on the state of the collapsed film was obtained from electron scanning micrographs.  相似文献

The Fourier transform microwave spectra of the hydrated forms of the tautomeric pair 2-pyridinone/2-hydroxypyridine (2PO/2HP) have been investigated in a supersonic expansion. Three hydrated species, 2PO-H?O, 2HP-H?O, and 2PO-(H?O)?, have been observed in the rotational spectrum. Each molecular complex was confidently identified by the features of the 1?N quadrupole hyperfine structure of the rotational transitions. The presence of water affects the tautomeric equilibrium -N═C(OH)- ? -NH-C(═O)-, which is shifted to the enol form for the bare molecules 2PO/2HP but to the keto tautomer for the hydrated forms.  相似文献

We measured the molecular beam Fourier transform microwave spectra of six isotopologues of the 1?:?1 adduct of CH(3)CHClF with water. Water prefers to form an O-H···F rather than an O-H···Cl hydrogen bond. This is just the contrary of what was observed in the chlorofluoromethane-water adduct, where an O-H···Cl link was formed (W. Caminati, S. Melandri, A. Maris and P. Ottaviani, Angew. Chem., Int. Ed., 2006, 45, 2438). The water molecule is linked with an O-H···F bridge to the fluorine atom, with r(F···H(w)) = 2.14 ?, and with two C-H···O contacts to the alkyl hydrogens with r(C(1)-H(1)···O(w)) = 2.75 ? and r(C(2)-H(2)···O(w)) = 2.84 ?, respectively. Besides the rotational constants, the quadrupole coupling constants of the chlorine atom have been determined. In addition, information on the internal dynamics has been obtained.  相似文献
