Summary A new gas chromatographic method using an automatic purge-and-trap system coupled to a GC with mass selective detection to analyze styrene at the parts-per-trillions (ng kg–1) level is described. The method shows a good sensitivity and the detection limit is 10 ng kg–1 with a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 4.7% for 164 ng kg–1 styrene in olive oil. This analytical method has been successfully applied to the analysis of styrene in extra-virgin olive oil from the European market. 相似文献

A new procedure for determining nitrogenated bases by forming ion pairs with Fe(SCN)63– is studied. The method consists of extracting the ion pair formed by a nitrogenated base and the inorganic complex Fe(SCN)63– into an organic phase, and measuring the iron in the organic phase by AAS at 248.3 nm. The optimal experimental conditions for determining amylocaine, avacan, bromhexine, diphenhydramine and papaverine are studied. The organic phase used is 1,2-dichloroethane. The standard deviation of the method varies between 10–1 and 10–2. The interferences produced by various substances are studied. 相似文献

Summary We studied the mineral speciation of Cu, Zn and Hg in fly ash from a large thermal plant burning lignite. By applying various treatments carried out under different conditions and taking into account the solubility and physical properties (boiling and melting point, etc.) and the behaviour towards combustion of the different possible compounds, we concluded that the ash assayed contained 109.6, 114.4 and 14.30 g/g of zinc silicate, zinc oxide and/or zinc sulphide and metal zinc, respectively, as well as 24.5 g/g of copper silicate and 31.2 g/g of a mixture of copper oxide, sulphide and metal. The optimization of lead hydride generation in aqueous ethanolic media and the influence on its generation of the wine components, both white and red, have been studied. These interferences were overcome by careful control of the parameters affecting hydride generation and the procedure was applied to the determination of Pb in wines. The method is fast, accurate and sensitive and can be used to quantify 24 ppb of Pb in wines. 相似文献

A method for the analytical determination of sotolon [4,5-dimethyl-3-hydroxy-2(5H)-furanone], maltol [3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one] and free furaneol [2,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxy-3(2H)-furanone] in wine has been developed. The analytes are extracted from 50 ml of wine in a solid-phase extraction cartridge filled with 800 mg of LiChrolut EN resins. Interferences are removed with 15 ml of a pentane-dichloromethane (20:1) solution, and analytes are recovered with 6 ml of dichloromethane. The extract is concentrated up to 0.1 ml and analyzed by GC-ion trap MS. Maltol and sotolon were determined by selected ion storage of ions in the m/z ranges 120-153 and 79-95, using the ions m/z 126 and 83 for quantitation, respectively. Furaneol was determined by non-resonant fragmentation of the m/z 128 mother ion and subsequent analysis of the m/z 81 ion. The detection limits of the method are in all cases between 0.5 and 1 microg l(-1), well below the olfactory thresholds of the compounds. The precision of the method is in the 4-5% range for levels in wine around 20 microg l(-1). Linearity holds at least up to 400 microg l(-1), and is satisfactory in all cases. The recoveries of maltol and sotolon are constant (70 and 64%, respectively) and do not depend on the type of wine. On the contrary, in the case of furaneol, red wines show constant and high recoveries (97%), while the recoveries on white wines range between 30 and 80%. Different experiments showed that this behavior is probably due to the existence of complexes formed between furaneol and sulphur dioxide or catechols. Sensory experiments confirmed that the complexed forms found in white wines are not perceived by orthonasal olfaction, and that the furaneol determined by the method can be considered as the free and odor-active fraction. 相似文献

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: The peri-adolescent period is a crucial developmental moment of transition from childhood to emergent adulthood. The present report analyses the differences in Power Spectrum (PS) of the Electroencephalogram (EEG) between late childhood (24 children between 8 and 13 years old) and young adulthood (24 young adults between 18 and 23 years old). RESULTS: The narrow band analysis of the Electroencephalogram was computed in the frequency range of 0--20 Hz. The analysis of mean and variance suggested that six frequency ranges presented a different rate of maturation at these ages, namely: low delta, delta-theta, low alpha, high alpha, low beta and high beta. For most of these bands the maturation seems to occur later in anterior sites than posterior sites. Correlational analysis showed a lower pattern of correlation between different frequencies in children than in young adults, suggesting a certain asynchrony in the maturation of different rhythms. The topographical analysis revealed similar topographies of the different rhythms in children and young adults. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) demonstrated the same internal structure for the Electroencephalogram of both age groups. Principal Component Analysis allowed to separate four subcomponents in the alpha range. All these subcomponents peaked at a lower frequency in children than in young adults. CONCLUSIONS: The present approaches complement and solve some of the incertitudes when the classical brain broad rhythm analysis is applied. Children have a higher absolute power than young adults for frequency ranges between 0-20 Hz, the correlation of Power Spectrum (PS) with age and the variance age comparison showed that there are six ranges of frequencies that can distinguish the level of EEG maturation in children and adults. The establishment of maturational order of different frequencies and its possible maturational interdependence would require a complete series including all the different ages. 相似文献

Polymeric membranes are important tools for intensifying separation processes in chemical industries, concerning strategic tasks such as CO2 sequestration, H2 production, and water supply and disposal. Mixed‐matrix and supported membranes have been widely developed; recently many of them have been based on metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). However, most of the impacts MOFs have within the polymer matrix have yet to be determined. The effects related to thermal behavior arising from the combination of MOF ZIF‐8 and polysulfone have now been quantified. The catalyzed oxidation of the polymer is strongly affected by the MOF crystal size and distribution inside the membrane. A 16 wt % 140 nm‐sized ZIF‐8 loading causes a 40 % decrease in the observed activation energy of the polysulfone oxidation that takes place at a temperature (545 °C) 80 °C lower than in the raw polymer (625 °C). 相似文献

In this work, the suitability of the combination of molecular imprinting and capillary electrochromatography (MIP-CEC) to be used as powerful tool in environmental or food analysis has been for the first time studied and successfully demonstrated. A molecularly imprinted monolith (MIM) has been synthesised and evaluated as stationary phase for the selective determination of the fungicide thiabendazole (TBZ) in citrus samples by non-aqueous capillary electrochromatography. The influence of the mobile phase composition, the voltage of the power supply and the separation temperature on the recognition of TBZ by the imprinted polymer has been evaluated, and the imprint effect in the MIM was clearly demonstrated. Once optimum recognition conditions were established, other variables affecting mechanical properties and chromatographic performance of MIM were adjusted using computational approach. The high selectivity achieved by the MIP-CEC developed procedure allowed unambiguous detection and quantification of TBZ in citrus samples by direct injection of the crude sample extracts, without any previous clean-up, in less than 6 min. The developed method was properly validated and the calculated detection limits were below the established maximum residue limits (MRLs), clearly demonstrating the suitability of the method to be used for the control of the selected fungicide. 相似文献
