Olea europaea germplasm is constituted by a huge number of cultivars, each one characterized by specific features. In this context, endemic cultivars evolved for a very long period in a precise local area, developing very specific traits. These characteristics include the production and accumulation of phytochemicals, many of which are also responsible for the nutraceutical value of the drupes and of the oils therefrom. With the aim of obtaining information on the phytochemical profile of drupes of autochthonous cultivars of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park, a metabolomics-based study was carried out on 19 selected cultivars. Multivariate data analysis of 1H-NMR data and 2D NMR analyses allowed the rapid identification of metabolites that were qualitatively and/or quantitatively varying among the cultivars. This study allowed to identify the cultivars Racioppella, Guglia, Pizzulella, Oliva amara, and Racioppa as the richest in health-promoting phenolic compounds. Furthermore, it showed a significant variability among the different cultivars, suggesting the possibility of using metabolic fingerprinting approaches for cultivar differentiation, once that further studies aimed at assessing the influence of growing conditions and environmental factors on the chemical profiles of single cultivars are carried out.  相似文献

Three new compounds, a sesquilignans, an oxyneolignan and a norlignan, have been isolated from the aqueous fraction of Cestrum parqui. All of the compounds have been identified on the basis of their spectroscopic properties and tested on the species Lactuca sativa and Lycopersicon esculentum to evaluate their phytotoxic activity.  相似文献

One new and six known flavone glycosides were isolated from the MeOH extract of Melilotus neapolitana Ten. The new compound, identified as 7-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy-4',5-dihydroxy-3-[O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->6)-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy]flavone (1) by 1D and 2D NMR techniques and mass spectra, was isolated along with kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside (2), kaempferol-3-O-glucoside (3), rutin (4), quercetin-3-O-glucoside (5), isorhamnetin-3-O-rutinoside (6), and isorhamnetin-3-O-glucoside (7). The antioxidant and radical scavenging activities of these compounds and the whole crude methanol extract were evaluated. The organic extract can inhibit MDA marker's synthesis by 57%. All the metabolites displayed good reducing power, with the kaempferol (2,3) and isorhamnetin derivatives (6,7) being less active than the corresponding quercetin derivatives 4,5.  相似文献

Due to the possible role in human health, the number of analytical studies on lignans aimed at their quali‐ and quantitative analysis in plant extracts, biological fluids and foods is continuously increasing. However, helpful systematic mass spectrometric investigations on these compounds are few and rather limited to specific lignan sub‐classes. To increase the comprehension of the previously outlined picture of the gas‐phase properties of furofuran lignans, we extended the study to tetrahydrofuran lignans and here we reported the collision‐activated dissociation (CAD) fragmentation patterns of the alkali metal cation adducts, [M+Alk]+, and [M–H]? ions of three isomeric tetrahydrofuran lignans, (+)‐8′‐hydroxylariciresinol 4′‐O‐β‐D ‐glucopyranoside (1), (+)‐7′‐hydroxylariciresinol 7′‐O‐β‐D ‐glucopyranoside (2) and 4‐O‐β‐D ‐glucopyranosyloxy‐3,3′‐dimethoxy‐7,9′‐epoxylignan‐5′,8′,9‐triol (3) investigated by electrospray ionization triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (ESI‐TQMS). Hydrogen/deuterium (H/D) solution exchange experiments, allowing the selective H/D exchange of all the acidic hydrogen atoms, proved to be a very effective tool to obtain information on the nature of fragments generated during TQ/CAD processes. The [M+Na]+ CAD mass spectra of the three isomeric tetrahydrofurans revealed four different pathways involving the loss of the glucose moiety, which allowed the assignment of the glycosylation site. In the negative ion mode, the main fragmentation channel of the [M–H]? ions of O‐glucosylated lignans at the phenolic oxygen atoms is represented by the loss of 162 Da. When the sugar is bound to a benzylic OH group the loss of the sugar as a 180 Da unit occurs eventually following the loss of a water molecule involving both the C(9)H2OH chain and the sugar. Hyaluronic acid or hyaluronan (HA) and elastin-inspired peptides (EL) have been widely recognized as bioinspired materials useful in biomedical applications. The aim of the present work is the production of electrospun scaffolds as wound dressing materials which would benefit from synergic action of the bioactivity of elastin peptides and the regenerative properties of hyaluronic acid. Taking advantage of thiol-ene chemistry, a bioactive elastin peptide was successfully conjugated to methacrylated hyaluronic acid (MAHA) and electrospun together with poly-D,L -lactide (PDLLA). To the best of our knowledge, limited reports on peptide-conjugated hyaluronic acid were described in literature, and none of these was employed for the production of electrospun scaffolds. The conformational studies carried out by Circular Dichroism (CD) on the bioconjugated compound confirmed the preservation of secondary structure of the peptide after conjugation while Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) revealed the supramolecular structure of the electrospun scaffolds. Overall, the study demonstrates that the bioconjugation of hyaluronic acid with the elastin peptide improved the electrospinning processability with improved characteristics in terms of morphology of the final scaffolds.  相似文献

Two new clerodane diterpenes were isolated from roots of Carex distachya Desf., a perennial plant widely distributed in the coastal area of the Mediterranean basin. Chemical characterization of the metabolites was carried out mainly by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy. The isolated compounds influenced either positively or negatively the plant growth (root and shoot elongation) of three coexisting herbaceous species.  相似文献

The elastic properties of elastin have essentially been discussed in terms of dominant entropic components, with questions still remaining about whether the basic mechanism is compatible with the classical theory of rubber elasticity. A better understanding of the structure-function relationships in terms of the protein's elastic properties remains an important goal in elastin science. Recently, we succeeded in the exon-by-exon synthesis of all polypeptide sequences encoded by the so-called hydrophobic exons and almost all of the cross-linking exons of human tropoelastin. Among these, the peptide encoded by exon 5 (PGGLAGAGLGA) has been extensively studied by classical spectroscopic methods, such as CD and NMR spectroscopy, and by molecular dynamics simulations. The results obtained clearly evidenced a large flexibility of the polypeptide chain, which oscillates between rather extended conformations, such as PPII, and folded ones, such as beta turns. At the supramolecular level, we obtained evidence by TEM that shows that the peptide encoded by exon 5 is able to self-assemble in fibrillar structures, a result indicating that the "information" for self-assembly is also contained within a small domain of tropoelastin.  相似文献

Satellite galaxies of the Milky Way are among the most promising targets for dark matter searches in gamma rays. We present a search for dark matter consisting of weakly interacting massive particles, applying a joint likelihood analysis to 10 satellite galaxies with 24 months of data of the Fermi Large Area Telescope. No dark matter signal is detected. Including the uncertainty in the dark matter distribution, robust upper limits are placed on dark matter annihilation cross sections. The 95% confidence level upper limits range from about 10(-26) cm3 s(-1) at 5 GeV to about 5×10(-23) cm3 s(-1) at 1 TeV, depending on the dark matter annihilation final state. For the first time, using gamma rays, we are able to rule out models with the most generic cross section (~3×10(-26) cm3 s(-1) for a purely s-wave cross section), without assuming additional boost factors.  相似文献

Four novel γ‐pyrone (=4H‐pyran‐4‐one) metabolites, petrorhagiosides A–D, along with four known analogs, have been isolated from the MeOH extract of Petrorhagia saxifraga, a perennial herbaceous plant typical of Mediterranean vegetation. The structures of the new compounds were established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses including 1D‐ an 2D‐NMR (1H,1H‐DQ‐COSY, TOCSY, HSQC, CIGAR‐HMBC, and HSQC‐TOCSY) experiments.  相似文献
