Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyethyl methacrylate (PEMA) and polybutyl methacrylate (PBuMA) containing ferric chloride and ferrous sulphate as stabilisers, were prepared by free radical polymerization. Mössbauer spactra of ferrous sulphate stabilised polymers don't show any change in the value of isomer shift (1.30 mm/s) while quadrupole splitting values are quite different from those for pure ferrous sulphate. This indicates that environment of Fe2+ moiety changes in polymers and thus stabilises the polymers. In case of ferric chloride stabilised polymers the isomer shift values don't differ significantly for different polymethacrylates but quadrupole splitting values increase from polymethyl methacrylate to polybutyl methacrylate. The TGA analysis shows that the inclusion of iron salts stabilises the polymers by 40°C (approx.) and at higher temperatures α-Fe2O3 is formed.  相似文献

New functional polysilanes [R2R1Si(CH2)2SiH]n (R=Me, R1=H (1); R=R1=Et (2); R=Me, R1=Ph (3)) bearing carbosilyl side chains have been synthesized by catalytic dehydropolymerization of precursor carbosilanes R2R1SiCH2CH2SiH3 using Cp2TiCl2–BuLi as a catalyst. These polymers are characterized by 1H, 13C, 29Si, {1H–29Si} HSQC NMR spectroscopy, GPC and TGA. Attempts to delineate the tacticity from the analysis of deconvoluted 29Si{1H}-NMR signals associated with the side chain silicon atoms reveal that the triad concentration ratio follows a Bernoullian statistical model for polymers 1 and 2 only.  相似文献

The thermal decompositions of alkaline earth tris(oxalato)ferrates(III) (Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba) have been studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy and other techniques. During the thermal decomposition, dehydration occurs first, followed by reduction to iron(II) species, and oxides and ferrites (MFeIIIO4) are then formed at higher temperature. In the case of strontium tris(oxalato)ferrate(III), strontium ferrite (SrFeIVO4) is formed at 700°.
Zusammenfassung Die thermische Zersetzung von Tris(oxalato)ferraten(III) der Erdalkalimetalle (Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) wurde durch Mössbauer-Spektroskopie und andere Techniken untersucht. Im Verlaufe der thermischen Zersetzung verläuft zunächst die Dehydratisierung, gefolgt von der Reduktion zu Eisen(II)-Species. Oxide und Ferrite (MFeIIIO4) werden danach bei höheren Temperaturen gebildet. Strontium-tris(oxalato)-ferrat(III) geht bei 700 °C in Strontiumferrit (SrFeIVO4) über.

A convenient technique is described for removal of sodium and other metal ion interference from sodium iodide-123 and sodium iodide-124 solutions used to label antibodies. We have used spin-polarized scanning tunneling spectroscopy to observe the spin polarization state of individual Fe and Cr atoms adsorbed onto Co nanoislands. These magnetic adatoms exhibit stationary out-of-plane spin polarization, but have opposite sign of the exchange coupling between electron states of the adatom and the Co island surface state: Fe adatoms exhibit parallel spin polarization to the Co surface state while Cr adatoms exhibit antiparallel spin polarization. First-principles calculations predict ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic alignment of the spin moment for individual Fe and Cr adatoms on a Co film, respectively, implying negative spin polarization for Fe and Cr adatoms over the energy range of the Co surface state.  相似文献

Methyl methacrylate (MMA)-ethyl methacrylate (EMA) copolymers of different monomer concentrations containing anhydrous ferric chloride were prepared by bulk polymerization at 70°C. TGA studies showed that inclusion of iron salt increases the thermal stability of copolymers by 50°C. Mössbauer spectra of copolymers heated at different temperatures showed the presence of Fe3+ species only, in different environments. The mechanism of thermal stabilization of copolymer has been proposed on the basis of IR, TGA and Mössbauer spectroscopy studies.  相似文献

Methyl methacrylate /MMA/-n-butyl methacrylate /nBuMA/ copolymer containing anhydrous ferric chloride was prepared by free radical polymerization at 70 °C. TGA studies showed that the addition of ferric chloride increases the thermal stability of copolymer by 90 °C. Mössbauer studies of the copolymer were carried out to determine the oxidation state and environments of iron in the copolymer. Mössbauer studies of the copolymer heated at 150 °C, 300 °C and 500 °C for 1 h showed that during the thermal degradation, no reduction of Fe3+ takes place.  相似文献

The thermal decompositions of metal(II) hexacyanoferrates(II) (Co, Ni and Zn) were studied in air with Mössbauer, infrared, thermal analysis and magnetic susceptibility techniques. Dehydration is almost complete at 200° and decomposition starts at 250° in the cases of cobalt and nickel hexacyanoferrates(II), and at 300° for zinc hexacyanoferrates (II).
