An optodynamic method for the real-time determination of the depth of a laser-drilled hole

An experimental method for determining the real-time depth of laser-drilled holes is presented. The proposed method involves detecting the laser-induced optoacoustic waves generated during the interaction of the laser beam with the material. Our optodynamic study involved measuring the propagation times of these waves as they traveled through the material and analyzing their temporal behavior during the drilling process. The experimental observations revealed an exponential relationship between the propagation time of the longitudinal stress wave and the number of consecutive laser pulses. A simple stereoselective one-pot synthesis of C-nucleosides by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of chiral azomethine imines prepared in situ

The NH,NH-dihydrocycloadduct 1 (6-chloro-9,9-dimethyl-7,8-dihydro-9H-pyrazolo[4,3-d]tetrazolo[1,5-b]-pyridazine) obtained by the cycloaddition of 2-diazopropane to 6-chlorotetrazolo[1,5-b]pyridazine, is transformed with protected or unprotected carbohydrates 2, 5, 7,9, 11, 13 and 15 in the presence of methyl acrylate ( 3 ) into the corresponding C-nucleosides 4,6,8,10,12,14 and 16 . In this one-pot synthesis two new chiral centers are formed stereoselectively, dependent on the chirality at C-atom next to aldehydo group in the carbohydrate.     

Synthesis and antimycobacterial activity of alkyl 1‐heteroaryl‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazole‐4‐carboxylates

A series of alkyl l‐heteroaryl‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazole‐4‐carboxylates 6a‐u were synthesised in four steps from methyl (Z)‐2‐benzyloxycarbonylarmino‐3‐(dimethylamino)prop‐2‐enoate ( 1 ) and heterocyclic amines 2a‐s. Triazoles 6a‐o were tested against antimycobacterial activity. For the most active compound, n‐pentyl 1‐(6‐phenylpyridazin‐3‐yl)‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazole‐4‐carboxylate ( 6n ), minimum inhibitory concentration 3.13 μg/ml was determined.     

Oxidative dehydrogenation of crotonaldehyde overK2HPMo12O40catalyst

Summary The oxidative dehydrogenation of crotonaldehyde to furan and maleic anhydride was carried out over K₂HPMo₁₂O₄₀catalyst. A positive effect of water vapor on furan formation is explained by ability of the catalyst to isomerize 2E- to 2Z-crotonaldehyde.</o:p>     

Parallel solution-phase synthesis of (Z)-3-(arylamino)-2,3-dehydroalanine derivatives and solid-phase synthesis of fused pyrimidones

N-Protected (Z)-3-(arylamino)-2,3-dehydroalanine esters 5 and 10 were prepared in one step from methyl (Z)-2-acylamino-3-(dimethylamino)prop-2-enoates 3 and 9 and anilines 4 employing a parallel solution-phase synthetic approach. In most cases, analytically pure products 5 and 10 were obtained. On the other hand, a three-step parallel solid-phase synthesis of 2-acetylamino-4H-azino[1,2-x]pyrimidin-4-ones 15 via the polymer-bound methyl (Z)-2-acetylamino-3-(dimethylamino)prop-2-enoate (12) was also developed.     

Transformations of epoxide derived from nopol over askanite-bentonite clay

Transformations of epoxide derived from nopol in the presence of natural askanite-bentonite clay were studied. The synthesis and crystal structure of α-Ca3UO6

Single crystals of α-Ca₃UO₆ were grown from a UO₃CaCl₂CaO melt by the slow cooling method from 950°C. The crystal structure was determined by means of X-ray diffraction with R = 0.032 and R_w = 0.019. The structure of α-Ca₃UO₆ is of Mg₃TeO₆ type. α-Ca₃UO₆ is rhombohedral with a = 6.729 (1)Å, α = 90.30 (1)°, Z = 2, D_c = 4.955 g/cm³, D_m = 4.79 g/cm³, space group $\text{R}\text{3}$. Uranium and calcium atoms are six-coordinated. At 1200°C rhombohedral α-Ca₃UO₆ irreversibly transforms to monoclinic β-Ca₃UO₆.     

The estimation of the aromaticity of five-membered and benzo fused five-membered rings by the hybrid DFT computed magnetic properties

The structures of thiophene, pyrrole, furan, and their benzo derivatives were generated with the hybrid B3LYP density functional theory (DFT) methods employing a 6-31G* basis set. Their magnetic susceptibility anisotropics were calculated on these geometries with a continuous set of gauge transformations. The aromaticity of the heterocycles was discussed in light of their structural uniformity and magnetic susceptibility. The computed structural parameters, order of aromaticity, stability, and reactivity is in excellent agreement with the experimental results. The usefulness of this approach to determine the reactivity is discussed.
