Spectra of jet-cooled methanol in the overtone and combination region from 5000 to 14 000 cm(-1) have been obtained by means of infrared laser-assisted photofragment spectroscopy. Many of the observed features are assigned to combination bands of the type nnu(1)+nu(6), nnu(1)+nu(8), and nnu(1)+nu(6)+nu(8) (n=1,2,3), where nu(1) is the OH stretch, nu(6) is the OH bend, and nu(8) is the CO stretch. These bands show sharp torsion-rotation structure with features as narrow as 0.1 cm(-1). We also observe CH stretch overtones that are weaker than the OH containing combination bands and lack distinct torsion-rotation structure above v(CH)=2. The extent of observed structure on these bands allows us to place limits on the intramolecular vibrational energy redistribution decay rates in the upper vibrational states. We report a global fit of the observed band centers to a simple expression involving low-order anharmonicity constants.  相似文献

A six-component theory of the vector field is proposed. An antisymmetric tensor second rank is used as the field function. The theory is invariant with respect to groups of dual transformations. The large geometric factor and good spatial resolution of the Large Volume Detector (LVD) ensures statistically significant and highly accurate measurements of muon trajectories and determination of the multiplicity of muon groups. The developed algorithm allows us to reconstruct 2 × 106 muon events (single muons and muon groups). Characteristics of muon groups are obtained and the specific yield of neutrons produced by single muons, muon groups, and showers is determined.  相似文献

We report UV photodissociation (UVPD) and IR-UV double-resonance spectra of dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) complexes with alkali metal ions (Li(+), Na(+), K(+), Rb(+), and Cs(+)) in a cold, 22-pole ion trap. All the complexes show a number of vibronically resolved UV bands in the 36,000-38,000 cm(-1) region. The Li(+) and Na(+) complexes each exhibit two stable conformations in the cold ion trap (as verified by IR-UV double resonance), whereas the K(+), Rb(+), and Cs(+) complexes exist in a single conformation. We analyze the structure of the conformers with the aid of density functional theory (DFT) calculations. In the Li(+) and Na(+) complexes, DB18C6 distorts the ether ring to fit the cavity size to the small diameter of Li(+) and Na(+). In the complexes with K(+), Rb(+), and Cs(+), DB18C6 adopts a boat-type (C(2v)) open conformation. The K(+) ion is captured in the cavity of the open conformer thanks to the optimum matching between the cavity size and the ion diameter. The Rb(+) and Cs(+) ions sit on top of the ether ring because they are too large to enter the cavity of the open conformer. According to time-dependent DFT calculations, complexes that are highly distorted to hold metal ions open the ether ring upon S(1)-S(0) excitation, and this is confirmed by extensive low-frequency progressions in the UVPD spectra.  相似文献

Questions of the correctness of the motion equations are considered in Stückelberg and Borgardt's theory in the presence of anomalous magnetic and electric quadrupole moments for the vector meson. The coherence of the quantization scheme with indefinite metric developed leads to invariantness of the Lagrangian for the operation of metric conjugation, which in turn causes transitions between states with spin 1 and spin 0 to be forbidden. Corrections to the neutrino magnetic dipole moment from the singly charged Higgs bosons h (±) and $\tilde \delta ^{\left( \pm \right)}$ were calculated within the left-right symmetric model involving Majorana neutrinos. It is shown that, if the h (±) and $\tilde \delta ^{\left( \pm \right)}$ bosons lie at the electroweak scale, the contributions from Higgs sector are commensurate with the contribution of charged gauge bosons or may even exceed it. The behavior of the neutrino flux inmatter and in amagnetic field was studied. It was found that resonance transitions between light and heavy neutrinos are forbidden.  相似文献

We present the spectroscopy and photofragmentation dynamics of two isomeric protonated dipeptides, H+AlaTyr and H+TyrAla, in a cold ion trap. By a combination of infrared-ultraviolet double resonance experiments and density functional theory calculations, we establish the conformations present at low temperature. Interaction of the charge at the N-terminus with the carbonyl group and the tyrosine pi-cloud seems to be critical in stabilizing the low-energy conformations. H+AlaTyr has the flexibility to allow a stronger interaction between the charge and the aromatic ring than in H+TyrAla, and this interaction may be responsible for many of the differences we observe in the former: a significant redshift in the ultraviolet spectrum, a much larger photofragmentation yield, fewer stable conformations, and the absence of fragmentation in excited electronic states.  相似文献

In this article we compare the classical monopole mass filter of von Zahn and the monopole mass filter with a hyperbolic V-shaped electrode. The experimental results and those of computer simulation for both mass spectrometers are presented. We show that the replacement of a conventional 90 degrees V-shaped electrode by an electrode with a hyperbolic profile substantially improves the peak shape of any given mass, and increases the mass resolution by a factor of 3-4 and the abundance sensitivity by a factor of 100. The potential of high analytical performance combined with electroforming techniques for electrode manufacture indicate future practical uses of such instruments.
