Synthesis of dihydro-1,3-thiazine derivatives. II

1-Oxo-3-thioxo-5-hydroxy-2-acyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-1,3-thiazino[6,5-c]quinolines were obtained for the first time by condensation of 2-hydroxy-3-mercaptoquinoline-4-carboxylic acid with acyl isothiocyanates. Alkyl and acyl isothiocyanates react with 1-methyl-2-oxo-3-mercapto-1, 2-dihydroquinoline-4-carboxylic acid to give 1,5-dioxo-3-thioxo-2-alkyl (acyl)6-methyl-2, 3,5,6-tetrahydro-1H-1,3-thiazino [6,5-c] quinolines.See [1] for communication I.Deceased.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 5, pp. 641–643, May, 1973.

The condensation of 2-hydroxy-3-mercaptoquinoline-4-carboxylic acid with isothiocyanates has given 2-alkyl-5-hydroxy-1-oxodihydro-1, 3-thiazino [6, 5-c]quinoline-3-thiones. The structure of the compounds obtained has been shown by reactions with semicarbazide, thiosemicarbazide, and by hydrolysis and oxidation.     

Cluster Model of Aggregation of Epoxy-DPP Oligomers in Solutions. Structure of Coatings Based on Epoxy and Epoxy-Phenol Resins

The IR MATIR spectra in the 1535-1680 cm^-1 range were studied for epoxy-DPP resins (M _N = 1650-3400) in coatings on germanium substrate obtained from oligomer solutions in methylene chloride and Cellosolve with the concentration c = 10-50%. The concentration dependences of the relative viscosity of narrow-MWD fractions of epoxy oligomers (M _N = 1500-5300) in chloroform and Cellosolve solutions were studied. The structure of the network of cross-linked polymers based on epoxy (M _N = 2100-3400) and phenol-formaldehyde (M _N = 860) resins was studied by the electron-microscopic silver chloride decoration method. Based on the cluster lattice model, the optimal molecular weight and the concentration regimes were determined for epoxy oligomers in the lacquer composition for can protection.     

Synthesis of derivatives of benzodihydro-1, 3-thiazine

The condensation of esters of isothiocyanic acid with thiosalicylic acid has given N-alkyl-substituted 2-thio-4-oxobenzodihydro-1, 3-thiazines. The structure of the compounds obtained has been shown by their reactions with thiosemicarbazide, by hydrolysis, and by oxidation.
