A theoretical study including full geometry optimizations is carried out at the IMOMM(MP2:MM3) (IMOMM = integrated molecular orbital molecular mechanics) computational level on the [ReH(5)(PPh(i)()Pr(2))(2)(SiHPh(2))(2)] and [ReH(5)(PCyp(3))(2)(SiH(2)Ph)(2)] systems, the results being compared with available experimental diffraction data, as well as with MP2 results on the model system [ReH(5)(PH(3))(2)(SiH(3))(2)]. A simple scheme for the analysis of the relative weight of different contributions to the "steric" distortion is also proposed and applied to the same [ReH(5)(PPh(i)()Pr(2))(2)(SiHPh(2))(2)] and [ReH(5)(PCyp(3))(2)(SiH(2)Ph)(2)] species. 相似文献

It has been suggested that chaotic motion inside the nucleus may significantly limit the accuracy with which nuclear masses can be calculated. Using a power spectrum analysis we show that the inclusion of additional physical contributions in mass calculations, through many-body interactions or local information, removes the chaotic signal in the discrepancies between calculated and measured masses. Furthermore, a systematic application of global mass formulas and of a set of relationships among neighboring nuclei to more than 2000 nuclear masses allows one to set an unambiguous upper bound for the average errors in calculated masses, which turn out to be almost an order of magnitude smaller than estimated chaotic components. 相似文献

The novel coordination polymers [Cu(Hoxonic)(H2O)]n ( 1 ) and [Cu(Hoxonic)(bpy)0.5]n ? 1.5 n H2O ( 2?H2O ) (H3oxonic: 4,6‐dihydroxy‐1,3,5‐triazine‐2‐carboxylic acid; bpy: 4,4′‐bipyridine) have been isolated and structurally characterised by ab initio X‐ray powder diffraction. The dense phase 1 contains 1D zig‐zag chains in which Hoxonic dianions bridge square‐pyramidal copper(II) ions, apically coordinated by water molecules. On the contrary, 2?H2O , prepared by solution and solventless methods, is based on 2D layers of octahedral copper(II) ions bridged by Hoxonic ligands, further pillared by bpy spacers. The resulting pro‐porous 3D network possesses small hydrated cavities. The reactivity, thermal, magnetic and adsorptive properties of these materials have been investigated. Notably, the adsorption studies on 2 show that this material possesses unusual adsorption behaviour. Indeed, guest uptake is facilitated by increasing the thermal energy of both the guest and the framework. Thus, neither N2 at 77 K nor CO2 at 195 K are incorporated, and CH4 is only minimally adsorbed at 273 K and high pressures (0.5 mmol g?1 at 2500 kPa). By contrast, CO2 is readily incorporated at 273 K (up to 2.5 mmol g?1 at 2500 kPa). The selectivity of 2 towards CO2 over CH4 has been investigated by means of variable‐temperature zero coverage adsorption experiments and measurement of breakthrough curves of CO2/CH4 mixtures. The results show the highly selective incorporation of CO2 in 2 , which can be rationalised on the basis of the framework flexibility and polar nature of its voids. 相似文献

We have used a variety of microscopic techniques to reveal the structure and motion of flux line arrangements, when the flux
lines in low T
c type II superconductors are caused to move by a transport current. Using small-angle neutron scattering by the flux line
lattice (FLL), we are able to demonstrate directly the alignment by motion of the nearest-neighbor FLL direction. This tends
to be parallel to the direction of flux line motion, as had been suspected from two-dimensional simulations. We also see the
destruction of the ordered FLL by plastic flow and the bending of flux lines. Another technique that our collaboration has
employed is the direct measurement of flux line motion, using the ultra-high-resolution spectroscopy of the neutron spin-echo
technique to observe the energy change of neutrons diffracted by moving flux lines. The muon spin rotation (μSR) technique gives the distribution of values of magnetic field within the FLL. We have recently succeeded in performing
μSR measurements while the FLL is moving. Such measurements give complementary information about the local speed and orientation
of the FLL motion. We conclude by discussing the possible application of this technique to thin film superconductors. 相似文献

Herein, we describe the synthesis of molecular scaffolds consisting of medium‐sized fused heterocycles using amino acids, which are some of the most useful building blocks used by nature as well as chemists to create structural diversity. The acyclic precursors were assembled by using traditional Merrifield solid‐phase peptide synthesis, and cyclization was carried out through acid‐mediated tandem endocyclic N‐acyliminium ion formation, followed by nucleophilic addition with internal nucleophiles. The synthesis of molecular scaffolds consisting of seven‐, eight‐, and nine‐membered rings proceeded with full stereocontrol of the newly generated stereogenic center in most cases. 相似文献

The current technology of air‐filtration materials for protection against highly toxic chemicals, that is, chemical‐warfare agents, is mainly based on the broad and effective adsorptive properties of hydrophobic activated carbons. However, adsorption does not prevent these materials from behaving as secondary emitters once they are contaminated. Thus, the development of efficient self‐cleaning filters is of high interest. Herein, we report how we can take advantage of the improved phosphotriesterase catalytic activity of lithium alkoxide doped zirconium(IV) metal–organic framework (MOF) materials to develop advanced self‐detoxifying adsorbents of chemical‐warfare agents containing hydrolysable P? F, P? O, and C? Cl bonds. Moreover, we also show that it is possible to integrate these materials onto textiles, thereby combining air‐permeation properties of the textiles with the self‐detoxifying properties of the MOF material. 相似文献

Bacterial and eukaryotic RecQ helicases comprise a family of homologous proteins necessary for maintaining genomic integrity during the cell cycle and DNA repair. There is one known bacterial RecQ helicase, and five eukaryotic RecQ helicases that have been described: RecQ1p, RecQ4p, RecQ5p, Bloom, and Werner. While the biochemical functions of Bloom and Werner helicases are well understood, the same is not true for RecQ4p helicase. RecQ4p mutations lead to pathologies like Rothmund-Thompson syndrome (RTS), RAPADILINO, and Baller-Gerold syndrome (BGS). Until now, RecQ4p helicases had only been described in metazoans, and their presence in organisms like fungi and plants were not known. Thus far only one RecQ-homologous protein (Sgs1p), similar to Bloom helicase, has been described in fungal genomes. In the present study we employed an in silico approach, and successfully identified and characterized a second RecQ helicase from the genomes of different fungal and two plant species that shows similarity to metazoan RecQ4 proteins. An in-depth phylogenetic analysis of these new fungal and plant RecQ4-like sequences (termed Hrq1p) indicated that they are orthologous to the metazoan RecQ4p. We employed hydrophobic cluster analysis (HCA) and three-dimensional modeling of selected Hrq1p sequences to compare conserved regions among Hrq1p, human RecQ4p and bacterial RecQp. The results indicated that Hrq1p sequences, as previously observed for metazoan RecQ4 proteins, probably act in genomic maintenance and/or chromatin remodeling in fungal and plant cells. 相似文献
