Isobutylene isoprene rubber (IIR)‐clay nanocomposites have been prepared successfully by melt intercalation with maleic anhydride‐grafted IIR (Ma‐g‐IIR) and organophilic clay. In IIR‐clay nanocomposites, the silicate layers of the clay were exfoliated and dispersed into the monolayer. The nanocomposites exhibited greater gas barrier properties compared with those of Ma‐g‐IIR. Summary The calculation of vibrational states using a gradient extremal path is discussed. Gradient extremal paths are defined by local criteria, which lead to stable solutions. This has certain advantages in comparison with a steepest-descent path, which is often difficult to determine accurately. For cases where a reaction path formalism is applicable, a path based on the gradient extremal concept gives results in close agreement with those obtained using traditional steepest-descent methods. We present algorithms for carrying out such calculations and also give some numerical results.  相似文献

Radical-anions of iodine, bromine, and monoiodochloride are produced in γ-irradiated amorphous solids at 77 K, and their electronic and ESR spectra measured. On limited warming of the irradiated solution dimerization by the reaction I2? + I2 → I4? occurs to produce the same species as reported by Fornier de Violet et al. The electronic structure of the dimeric anion is discussed in comparison with the monomeric anion.  相似文献

Kojima's strong stability of stationary solutions can be characterized by means of first and second order terms. We treat the problem whether there is a characterization of the stability concept allowing perturbations of the objective function only, keeping the feasible set unchanged. If the feasible set is a convex polyhedron, then there exists a characterization which is in fact weaker than that one of strong stability. However, in general it appears that data of first and second order do not characterize that kind of stability. Using the qualitative theory of nonlinear dynamical systems and the ergodic theory of chaos and strange attractors, we study a truncated-spectrum model of dynamical equations of the atmosphere. In the parameter plane (Re, Ri), the atmospheric motion states can be divided into four regions: O (basic), P (periodic), T (turbulent or chaotic), and T-P (transition of T and P). We analyze the routes to turbulence during the day and at night. Finally, we discuss the physical aspects of the occurrence of turbulence.  相似文献

Conformational isomerizations of radical-ions are studied both experimentally and theoretically. The representative systems of stilbenes, polyenes, and non-planar alicyclic compounds will be reviewed first. Then, the result of the study on the radical-cations of 1,4-dithiacyclohexane and ethane-1,4-dithiol will be presented. It is found that the former cation suffers a change from a chair form to a boat form and the latter from an anti- or a gauche-form to a cis form even in a rigid matrix. The conformational changes are manifested by drastic changes in the electronic absorption and ESR spectra. The strong “through-space” interaction between the lone pair orbitals of the sulfur atoms is responsible for the conformational changes. Ab initio MO calculations lend support to the analysis of the experimental results.  相似文献

Copper mediated alkyl-transfer reaction of trialkylaluminum (R3Al) with (E)-4,4-difluoro-5-hydroxyallylic alcohol derivative smoothly proceeded to give the corresponding 2-alkylated 4-fluoro-5-hydroxyhomoallylic alcohol derivative with completely Z and 2,5-syn selective manner. Regio- and stereoselective conversion of the C5-hydroxyl group of the fluoroolefin thus obtained to amino group could be achieved through one-pot mesylation and azidation reaction.  相似文献

The swelling characteristics of an oleophilic anion-exchange resin in methanol–benzene and ethanol–chloroform mixed solvent systems were compared with those of a conventional anion-exchange resin. The oleophilic resin was prepared by amination of chloromethylated polystyrene 1% DVB with N,N-dimethyldodecylamine. It showed a large shift of the swelling peak from polar to less polar solution compositions in both methanol–benzene and ethanol–chloroform systems as compared with the swelling of conventional resins. Total solvent uptake and solvent distribution between resin and solvent phases were also determined. The less polar solvent (benzene or chloroform) was sorbed preferentially by the oleophilic resin over a wide range of composition, while preference for the more polar solvent (methanol or ethanol) by the conventional resin was shown over the entire composition of the mixed solvent systems. The Newman-Krigbaum treatment of mixed solvents was applied to swelling data on the ethanol–chloroform–oleophilic resin system, where the volume of the gel network plus the solvent imbibed was relatively constant over the entire range of composition. The result suggests a strong similarity of the liquid–liquid interaction terms in this gel phase compared with those in the pure binary liquid phase.  相似文献

We examined the crystallization of palm mid fraction (PMF) in oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion, after adding polyglycerol fatty acid esters (PGFEs). We employed ultrasonic velocity measurements and DSC techniques, with special emphases on the influences of fatty acid moiety and esterification of PGFE. Twelve types of PGFEs were examined as additives. PGFEs have a large hydrophilic moiety composed of 10 glycerol molecules to which palmitic, stearic and behenic acids were esterified as the fatty acid moiety with different degrees of esterification. Crystallization temperature (T(c)) of PMF remarkably increased with increasing concentrations of the PGFEs as the chain length of the fatty acid moiety increased, and the PGFE became more hydrophobic in accordance with increasing degree of esterification. We observed that the heterogeneous nucleation of PMF in the O/W emulsion was activated at the oil-water interface, where the template effect of very hydrophobic long saturated fatty acid chains of the PGFE might play the main role of heterogeneous nucleation.  相似文献
