The object of the present paper is to study almost pseudo-conformally symmetric Ricci-recurrent manifolds. The existence of almost pseudo-conformally symmetric Ricci-recurrent manifolds has been proved by an explicit example. Some geometric properties have been studied. Among others we prove that in such a manifold the vector field ? corresponding to the 1-form of recurrence is irrotational and the integral curves of the vector field ? are geodesic. We also study some global properties of such a manifold. Finally, we study almost pseudo-conformally symmetric Ricci-recurrent spacetime. We obtain the Segre’ characteristic of such a spacetime.  相似文献

Microfluidization, which is a high-pressure homogenization technique, was used to develop highly dispersed cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) reinforced chitosan based nanocomposite films. A three factor central composite design with five levels was designed to systematically optimize the microfluidization process. The three factors were the CNC content, the microfluidization pressure and the number of microfluidization cycles. Response surface methodology was used to obtain relationship between the mechanical properties of the nanocomposite films and the factors. Polynomial equations were generated based on the regression analysis of the factors and the predicted properties of the nanocomposite films were in good agreement with the experimental results. Microfluidization effectively reduced the CNC–chitosan aggregates and improved the mechanical properties of the nanocomposite films. Microscopic analysis of the microfluidized nanocomposite films revealed a 10–15 times reduction in the size of the aggregates compared to the non-microfluidized CNC/chitosan films and an increase in the root mean square surface roughness (Rq).  相似文献

The design of a medium energy beam transport (MEBT) line comprising of a re-buncher and four quadrupoles, two upstream and the other two downstream of the re-buncher, has been presented. The design was done to ensure almost 100% transport of heavy-ion beams of about 99 keV/u energy from RFQ having a q/A not less than 1/14 through the re-buncher and then through IH Linac of about 0.6 m length in which beam would be accelerated to about 185 keV/u. The re-buncher has been designed to operate at 37.8 MHz, the resonating frequency of both the RFQ and the IH Linac. The entire beam line has been installed and recently O5+ beam from RFQ has been transported through the re-buncher and subsequently accelerated in the IH Linac successfully.  相似文献

This paper details an on-flow liquid chromatography–ultraviolet–nuclear magnetic resonance (LC–UV–NMR) method for the retrospective detection and identification of alkyl alkylphosphonic acids (AAPAs) and alkylphosphonic acids (APAs), the markers of the toxic nerve agents for verification of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Initially, the LC–UV–NMR parameters were optimized for benzyl derivatives of the APAs and AAPAs. The optimized parameters include stationary phase C18, mobile phase methanol:water 78:22 (v/v), UV detection at 268 nm and 1H NMR acquisition conditions. The protocol described herein allowed the detection of analytes through acquisition of high quality NMR spectra from the aqueous solution of the APAs and AAPAs with high concentrations of interfering background chemicals which have been removed by preceding sample preparation. The reported standard deviation for the quantification is related to the UV detector which showed relative standard deviations (RSDs) for quantification within ±1.1%, while lower limit of detection upto 16 μg (in μg absolute) for the NMR detector. Finally the developed LC–UV–NMR method was applied to identify the APAs and AAPAs in real water samples, consequent to solid phase extraction and derivatization. The method is fast (total experiment time ∼2 h), sensitive, rugged and efficient.  相似文献

The production of silver cluster cations Ag(n)(2+) (for several selected sizes in the range n = 39-119) and Ag(n)(3+) (for n = 58, 61, 67) by electron impact ionization of neutral precursors has been studied. The scaling of appearance energies with cluster radius follows the metallic droplet model but, curiously, with a slope which is estimated to be quite different from the literature values for single ionization, Ag(n)(+), as well as for the appearance of smaller Ag(n)(2+) ions. It is also found that as the electron energy increases, the yield of high-charge cations grows faster than that of singly-charged Ag(n)(+). This behavior is consistent with the power-law dependence of post-threshold ionization. The mechanisms involved in multiple ionization phenomena in clusters of noble metals are not yet fully understood and call for further experimental and theoretical examination.  相似文献

A combined experimental and theoretical investigation of Ag‐Pt sub‐nanometer clusters as heterogeneous catalysts in the CO→CO2 reaction (COox) is presented. Ag9Pt2 and Ag9Pt3 clusters are size‐selected in the gas phase, deposited on an ultrathin amorphous alumina support, and tested as catalysts experimentally under realistic conditions and by first‐principles simulations at realistic coverage. In situ GISAXS/TPRx demonstrates that the clusters do not sinter or deactivate even after prolonged exposure to reactants at high temperature, and present comparable, extremely high COox catalytic efficiency. Such high activity and stability are ascribed to a synergic role of Ag and Pt in ultranano‐aggregates, in which Pt anchors the clusters to the support and binds and activates two CO molecules, while Ag binds and activates O2, and Ag/Pt surface proximity disfavors poisoning by CO or oxidized species.  相似文献

Quantum adiabatic algorithm is a method of solving computational problems by evolving the ground state of a slowly varying Hamiltonian. The technique uses evolution of the ground state of a slowly varying Hamiltonian to reach the required output state. In some cases, such as the adiabatic versions of Grover's search algorithm and Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm, applying the global adiabatic evolution yields a complexity similar to their classical algorithms. However, using the local adiabatic evolution, the algorithms given by J. Roland and N.J. Cerf for Grover's search [J. Roland, N.J. Cerf, Quantum search by local adiabatic evolution, Phys. Rev. A 65 (2002) 042308] and by Saurya Das, Randy Kobes, and Gabor Kunstatter for the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm [S. Das, R. Kobes, G. Kunstatter, Adiabatic quantum computation and Deutsh's algorithm, Phys. Rev. A 65 (2002) 062301], yield a complexity of order N (where N=2(n) and n is the number of qubits). In this paper, we report the experimental implementation of these local adiabatic evolution algorithms on a 2-qubit quantum information processor, by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.  相似文献
