A novel algorithmic scheme for numerical solution of the 3D Poisson-Nernst-Planck model is proposed. The algorithmic improvements are universal and independent of the detailed physical model. They include three major steps: an adjustable gradient-based step value, an adjustable relaxation coefficient, and an optimized segmentation of the modeled space. The enhanced algorithm significantly accelerates the speed of computation and reduces the computational demands. The theoretical model was tested on a regular artificial channel and validated on a real protein channel-alpha-hemolysin, proving its efficiency. 相似文献

A novel series of long-chain unsaturated dicarboxylic acids consisting of a long aliphatic chain attached to the C-3 position of itaconic acid has been identified by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry during in vitro decay of eucalypt wood by the white-rot basidiomycete Ceriporiopsis subvermispora. The major compounds were identified as tetradecyl-, 7-hexadecenyl- and hexadecylitaconic acids by their mass fragmentation patterns. Other members of the same compound series, identified as dodecanyl-, tridecanyl-, tetradecenyl-, pentadecanyl-, octadecenyl- and octadecanylitaconic acids, were present in very minor amounts or traces. Whereas hexadecenylitaconic acid has already been reported in cultures of C. subvermispora, to our knowledge this is the first report of the presence of the other alkylitaconic acids in fungal cultures. These new alkylitaconic-type metabolites may constitute a source for peroxidizable lipids involved in lignin degradation during wood decay by C. subvermispora and other white-rot basidiomycetes. 相似文献

We present the results of an investigation of the speed of a radially infalling test particle crossing the event horizon of a black hole within a Schwarzschild spacetime. One finds that the speed as measured by a special class of observers, at rest outside the horizon and static inside the horizon, increases when the test particle approaches the horizon but decreases inside the horizon. The corresponding situation regarding black holes possessing both outer and inner horizons is also briefly discussed. 相似文献

A wavelet, fourier, and PCA data analysis pipeline: application to distinguishing mixtures of liquids

Using a new optical engineering technique for the "fingerprinting" of beverages and other liquids, we study and evaluate a range of features. The features are based on resolution scale, invariant frequency information, entropy, and energy. They allow mixtures of beverages to be very precisely placed in principal component plots used for the data analysis. To show this we make use of data sets resulting from optical/near-infrared and ultrasound sensors. Our liquid "fingerprinting" is a relatively open analysis framework in order to cater for different practical applications, in particular, on one hand, discrimination and best fit between fingerprints, and, on the other hand, more exploratory and open-ended data mining. 相似文献

Hydrogen atoms adsorbed on TiO2(110)-(1x1) surfaces have been characterized by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) combined with electron stimulated desorption (ESD) technique. Certain amounts of H atoms are unexpectedly found on the TiO2 surfaces annealed at 900 K. Two forms of adsorption were discriminated in STM images from the different sensitivity to ESD and tentatively assigned to hydroxyl-type (O-H) and hydride-type (Ti-H) species. 相似文献

On the nature of cosmological redshift and spectral shift in Schwarzschild-like and other spacetimes
The kinematical nature of the spectral shift in different types of spacetime, cosmological redshift and frequency shift in Schwarzschild spacetime being the most prominent representatives, has been a subject of recent interest. We demonstrate that the kinematical nature of the spectral shift is an inherent feature of the particular type of spacetimes. The general solution is found: necessary and sufficient conditions for the spectral shift arising from a kinematical origin are formulated. The status of the relative speed is discussed. 相似文献
