An expansive NMR‐based structural analysis of elusive glycosyl cations derived from natural and non‐natural monosaccharides in superacids is disclosed. For the first time, it has been possible to explore the consequence of deoxygenation and halogen substitution at the C2 position in a series of 2‐halogenoglucosyl, galactosyl, and mannosyl donors in the condensed phase. These cationic intermediates were characterized using low‐temperature in situ NMR experiments supported by DFT calculations. The 2‐bromo derivatives display intramolecular stabilization of the glycosyl cations. Introducing a strongly electron‐withdrawing fluorine atom at C2 exerts considerable influence on the oxocarbenium ion reactivity. In a superacid, these oxocarbenium ions are quenched by weakly coordinating SbF6? anions, thereby demonstrating their highly electrophilic character and their propensity to interact with poor nucleophiles.  相似文献

It is well known that, for stepsize sufficiently small, compactattractors of ordinary differential equations persist underdiscretization. The present paper describes the structure ofthe discrete-time dynamical system obtained via discretizationon A(Mh)\Mh where Mh is the approximate attractor and A(Mh)is its domain of attraction. The existence of a smooth embeddinginto a continuous-time parallelizable flow is proved. The constructioncan be used to define sections for discretizations and can beinterpreted as a justification of the method of modified equations.  相似文献

The catalysis derived from the dinuclear Pd(I)-Pd(I) complex, {[PtBu(3)]PdBr}(2), has been studied with experimental, computational, and spectroscopic techniques. Experimental selectivity studies were performed, and the reactivity was subsequently investigated with density functional theory (B3LYP-D and M06L) to deduce information on the likely active catalytic species. The reactivity with aryl chlorides and bromides was found to be inconsistent with direct catalytic involvement of the Pd(I) dimer but consistent with mononuclear Pd(0) catalysis. Computational studies suggest that precatalyst transformation to the active catalytic species does not proceed via a direct disproportionation mechanism; a reductive pathway is the most likely scenario instead. Through (31)P NMR investigations it was identified that the combination of ArB(OH)(2), KF, and water triggers the conversion of the precatalyst to Pd(PtBu(3))(2) and, most likely, Pd-black as a competing side process, explaining the incomplete conversions of aryl chlorides in Suzuki cross-coupling reactions under Pd(I) dimer conditions. New applications in highly regio- and chemoselective transformations in short reaction times at room temperature are also demonstrated.  相似文献

Challenging a catalytic cycle: Pd(0) catalysts are readily oxidized by Cu and Ag salts to give dinuclear Pd(I) complexes and Cu(I) or Ag(I) cubanes (see scheme). The reactivities of the resulting Pd(I) dimers are consistent with several observations of additive effects in cross-coupling chemistry. The results indicate the possibility for alternative catalytic cycles involving dinuclear Pd(I) complexes over the currently accepted synergistic cycles involving Pd(0)/Pd(II) intermediates and Cu or Ag.  相似文献

Narrow-band ultraviolet (NB-UVB) phototherapy emits mostly 311/312 nm light and is commonly used in the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders. As a source of UVB irradiation, NB-UVB causes apoptosis in T lymphocytes but its effects on keratinocytes are unknown. Herein, we have investigated the ability of NB-UVB to induce apoptosis in keratinocytes. Two types of human keratinocytes, primary and immortalized, were exposed to NB-UVB and broad-band UVB (BB-UVB; 315-280 nm) and tested for apoptosis. Both UVB light sources induced apoptosis in keratinocytes as determined by the presence of DNA ladders, although NB-UVB required approximately ten fold higher doses; NB-UVB (1000 mJ/cm2) and BB-UVB (125 mJ/cm2). By comparison, lower doses of NB-UVB (750 mJ/cm2) induced apoptosis in T lymphocytes, suggesting cell type specificity for NB-UVB induced apoptosis. Approximately, 50% or more of the cells underwent apoptosis when exposed to NB-UVB or BB-UVB as revealed by TUNEL assay. Electron micrographs showed that NB-UVB irradiated keratinocytes contained marked chromatin condensation, extensive cytoplasmic vacuolization and fragmentation of the nuclear envelope. Furthermore, Western blot analysis confirmed the presence of activated products of caspase 3 in keratinocytes that received apoptotic doses of NB-UVB. This study defines conditions by which NB-UVB irradiation causes apoptosis in keratinocytes.  相似文献

Building on our recent disclosure of catalysis at dinuclear PdI sites, we herein report the application of this concept to the realization of the first catalytic method to convert aryl iodides into the corresponding ArSeCF3 compounds. Highly efficient C? SeCF3 coupling of a range of aryl iodides was achieved, enabled by an air‐, moisture‐, and thermally stable dinuclear PdI catalyst. The novel SeCF3‐bridged dinuclear PdI complex 3 was isolated, studied for its catalytic competence and shown to be recoverable. Experimental and computational data are presented in support of dinuclear PdI catalysis.  相似文献
