Alkanes (cyclohexane, hexane, heptane isomers) are effectively oxidized in CH3CN at 20–70°C by hydrogen peroxide when catalyzed by a Bu4NVO3-pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid system. Alkyl hydroperoxide is the main product; an alcohol and a ketone or an aldehyde are also formed. Under these conditions benzene is oxidized to give phenol, while alkyl benzenes yield oxygenation products both of the ring and the side chain. It has been assumed that the interaction of H2O2 with VO3
– gives rise to generation of HO radicals and other radical-like vanadium containing species that abstract a hydrogen atom from an alkane, RH. ESR spectroscopy is one of the physicochemical techniques used to characterize archaeological white marbles and obtain information about their quarries of provenance. This is done by measuring selected spectral features of the Mn(2+) impurity ubiquitously present in marbles and developing a statistical classification rule from the variable vectors measured for a significant number of samples of known provenance (the quarry database). Now we show that the overall variability exhibited by the same spectroscopic features decreases rapidly with the linear dimensions of the sampled block and can be used to distinguish fragments belonging to the same piece of stone from those simply originating from the same quarry. Application of the method to the seven marble panels of the Donatello pulpit in Prato (Tuscany) shows that they have all been cut from the same single block and their different degradation must be ascribed to differential weathering and to the different conservation treatments undergone in the past. The limits and possible drawbacks of the method are also discussed. 相似文献

Model coniferyl alcohol lignin (the so‐called dehydrogenative polymerisate, DHP) was produced in water under homogeneous conditions guaranteed by the presence of a micellised cationic surfactant. A complete study of the activity of the enzymatic system peroxidase/H2O2 under our reaction conditions was reported and all the reaction products up to the pentamer were characterised by 1H NMR spectroscopy and ESI mass spectrometry. Our system, and the molecules that have been generated in it, represent a closer mimicry of the natural microenvironment since an enzyme, under micellar conditions, reproduces the cell system better than in buffer alone. On the basis of the oligomers structures a new biosynthetic perspective was proposed that focused attention on a coniferyl alcohol dimeric quinone methide as the key intermediate of the reaction. A formal, strictly alternate sequence of a radical and an ionic step underlines the reaction, thus generating ordered oligolignols structures. Alternatively to other model lignins, our olignols present a lower degree of radical coupling between oligomeric units. This offers a closer biosynthetic situation to the observation of a low rate of radical generation in the cell wall. 相似文献

Specular and diffuse X-ray scattering are used to study interfacial roughness in Nb/Pd0.81Ni0.19 multilayers deposited by dc UHV sputtering. The data are analyzed to extract information about the correlated behavior of interface roughness in both the lateral and vertical directions. X-ray reflectivity is treated quantitatively by computer-aided simulation and modelling in order to extract values also for the layers thickness. From the analysis of the diffusive spectra of the reflectivity maps the roughness correlation has been evaluated. 相似文献

Current–voltage (I–V) characteristics and critical current density, Jc, for the onset of vortex motion were measured at different magnetic fields, H, and temperatures, T, in a superconducting (S)/ferromagnetic (F) bilayer and in a single Nb film. We choose Nb as a superconductor and a weak ferromagnetic alloy, Pd1−xNix with x = 16, as F. We found that Jc was smaller for the S/F bilayer with respect to the single Nb film. The result was related to the reduced value of the superconducting order parameter in the bilayer. 相似文献

Superconducting proximity effect is studied in superconductor/normal metal trilayers. The dependences of the superconducting transition temperature Tc versus Nb thickness in Cu/Nb/Cu systems and versus Cu thickness in Nb/Cu/Nb ones are described by different values of the microscopical parameters. We attribute this difference to the influence of the external surfaces of the Nb/Cu/Nb hybrids on the superconducting properties of the system. 相似文献
