The dependence of the beam propagation factor (M
2 parameter) with the absorbed pump power in the case of monolithic microchip laser under face-cooled configuration is extensively
studied. Our investigations show that the M
2 parameter is related to the absorbed pump power through two parameters (α and β) whose values depend on the laser material properties and laser configuration. We have shown that one parameter arises due
to the oscillation of higher order modes in the microchip cavity and the other parameter accounts for the spherical aberration
associated with the thermal lens induced by the pump beam. Such dependency of M
2 parameter with the absorbed pump power is experimentally verified for a face-cooled monolithic microchip laser based on Nd3+ -doped GdVO4 crystal and the values of α and β parameters were estimated from the experimentally measured data points. 相似文献

Heavy ion irradiation in the electronic stopping power region induces macroscopic dimensional change in metallic glasses and introduces magnetic anisotropy in some magnetic materials. The present work is on the irradiation study of ferromagnetic metallic glasses, where both dimensional change and modification of magnetic anisotropy are expected. Magnetic anisotropy was measured using Mössbauer spectroscopy of virgin and irradiated Fe40Ni40B20 and Fe40Ni38Mo4B18 metallic glass ribbons. 90 MeV 127I beam was used for the irradiations. Irradiation doses were 5×1013 and 7.5×1013 ions/cm2. The relative intensity ratios D 23 of the second and third lines of the Mössbauer spectra were measured to determine the magnetic anisotropy. The virgin samples of both the materials display in-plane magnetic anisotropy, i.e., the spins are oriented parallel to the ribbon plane. Irradiation is found to cause reduction in magnetic anisotropy. Near-complete randomization of magnetic moments is observed at high irradiation doses. Correlation is found between the residual stresses introduced by ion irradiation and the change in magnetic anisotropy. 相似文献

Aluminum, iron and zinc containing MCM-41 molecular sieves were prepared by the hydrothermal method. The catalyst was characterized by the XRD, BET (surface area), FT–IR and 29Si, 27Al MAS–NMR techniques. The catalytic activity of these molecular sieves was tested with esterification reaction used with phthalic anhydride (PAH) and methanol (MeOH) in the autoclave at 135 °C, 150 °C and 175 °C. Conversion increases with an increase in temperature and mole ratio. The activity of these catalysts followed the order: Al-MCM-41 (112) > Fe-MCM-41 (115) > Al-MCM-41 (70) > Al-MCM-41 (52) > Fe-MCM-41 (61) > Al, Zn-MCM-41 (104) > Al-MCM-41 (30). The reaction yielded both monomethyl phthalate (MMP) and dimethyl phthalate (DMP). The nature of the catalyst sites has been proposed using with water as an impurity. The selectivity of the dimethyl phthalate increases with increase in temperature and mole ratio. The weight of the catalyst was optimized at 0.07 g. The hydrophilic and hydrophobic nature of the catalyst has been explained by the influence of water and the external surface acidity also facilitates the reaction and this has been confirmed by the supporting reaction. 相似文献

In this paper, a new application of the hyper-Rayleigh scattering technique in determining multiple binding constants of a small molecule like bilirubin to a macromolecule like the protein human serum albumin has been demonstrated. Human serum albumin has two binding sites for bilirubin, and the binding constants have been measured by carrying out a second harmonic titration of the protein against bilirubin and vice versa. The measured binding constants K(1) = 1.5 +/- 0.43 x 10(7) M(-1) and K(2) = 1.01 +/- 0.16 x 10(6) M(-1) agree well with the reported values obtained by other methods. 相似文献

Extracellular fluid protein (ECFP) of Streptomyces species SS07 has been used to reduce water soluble azo dyes and the carcinogenic amines released have been compared with that from chemical reduction. The effect of temperature, pH and contact time on the recovery of amines using ECFP was studied. The ECFP releases carcinogenic amines at a pH of 9.2 and a temperature of 37 degrees C for a contact period of 24 h. The reduction products were analyzed with HPLC and their structures confirmed by LC-MS and GC-MS. It was observed that both the ECFP and chemical reduction methods released similar type of amine products. In the case of dye samples, compared to chemical reduction, 5-20% increase in the release of carcinogenic amines by ECFP was observed. The percentage of amine products released by chemical reduction was higher for leather garment samples compared to ECFP treatment. 相似文献

A simple and efficient way of obtaining silver nanoparticles that are dispersible both in organic and in aqueous solvents using a single capping agent is described. The silver nanoparticles are initially prepared in water in the presence of aerosol OT [sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)-sulfosuccinate, AOT]. Thereafter, transfer of the AOT-capped silver nanoparticles to an organic phase is induced by the addition of a small amount of orthophosphoric acid during shaking of the biphasic mixture. The AOT-stabilized silver nanoparticles could be separated out from the organic phase in the form of a powder. The hydrophobic nanoparticles thus prepared are stable and are readily resuspended in a variety of other polar (including water) and nonpolar solvents without further surface treatment. The amphiphatic nature of the silver surface is brought about by a small orientational change in the AOT monolayer on the silver surface in response to the polarity of the solvent. 相似文献

This article describes the highly sensitive and selective determination of epinephrine (EP) using self‐assembled monomolecular film (SAMF) of 1,8,15,22‐tetraamino‐phthalocyanatonickel(II) (4α‐NiIITAPc) on Au electrode. The 4α‐NiIITAPc SAMF modified electrode was prepared by spontaneous adsorption of 4α‐NiIITAPc from dimethylformamide solution. The modified electrode oxidizes EP at less over potential with enhanced current response in contrast to the bare Au electrode. The standard heterogeneous rate constant (k°) for the oxidation of EP at 4α‐NiIITAPc SAMF modified electrode was found to be 1.94×10?2 cm s?1 which was much higher than that at the bare Au electrode. Further, it was found that 4α‐NiIITAPc SAMF modified electrode separates the voltammetric signals of ascorbic acid (AA) and EP with a peak separation of 250 mV. Using amperometric method the lowest detection limit of 50 nM of EP was achieved at SAMF modified electrode. Simultaneous amperometric determination of AA and EP was also achieved at the SAMF modified electrode. Common physiological interferents such as uric acid, glucose, urea and NaCl do not interfere within the potential window of EP oxidation. The present 4α‐NiIITAPc SAMF modified electrode was also successfully applied to determine the concentration of EP in commercially available injection. 相似文献

Methanol-swollen Nafion beads were used as microreactors to control the photochemical reaction pathways. Product selectivity in three unimolecular reactions, namely, the photo-Fries rearrangement of naphthyl esters, Norrish Type I reaction of 1-phenyl-3-p-tolyl-propan-2-one and Norrish Type I and Type II reactions of benzoin alkyl ethers were examined. The influence of cations over the photodimerization of acenaphthylene and cross-photodimerization between acenaphthylene and N-benzyl maleimide included within Nafion were also examined. The photochemical behaviors of the above substrates were significantly altered within Nafion compared with their solution photochemistry. A new series of mixed ligand semicarbazone or thiosemicarbazone complexes of Ru(II) having the general formula [RuCO(EPh3)(B)L] (where E = P or As; B = PPh3, AsPh3 or Pyridine; L = dibasic tridentate ligand derived by the condensation of ethylacetoacetate/methylacetoacetate and thiosemicarbazide/semicarbazide) have been synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical, spectroscopic and electrochemical studies. A comparative study on the catalysis of oxidation of benzyl alcohol, cyclohexanol, cinnamyl alcohol, n-butanol, n-propanol and iso-butyl alcohol has been done with N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide and molecular oxygen as co-oxidants. An efficient method was developed for the synthesis of highly substituted naphthalenes through rhodium‐catalyzed oxidative benzannulation of N‐pivaloylanilines with internal alkynes. The benzannulation reaction proceeded smoothly through dual C?H bond activation to produce the corresponding highly substituted naphthalene products in satisfactory to good yields. 相似文献
