(NH4)4M(Zr(Hf))3F17 · 2HF Complexes (M = Li,Na): Synthesis and Physicochemical Properties

Monoclinic crystals of ammonium hydrofluoride fluoro complexes of zirconium and hafnium (NH₄)₄M(Zr(Hf))₃F₁₇ · 2HF (M = Li, Na) are synthesized and studied. Their unit cell parameters are determined. IR spectra of the synthesized compounds are measured in the range of 350–4000 cm^–1.     

19F NMR study of the influence of the nature of outer-spheric cations on the dynamics of the anion sublattice in compounds MM′AF6

Dynamics of octahedral ions in crystal compounds MM′AF₆ (M, M′=Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs; A=Ge, Ti) has been studied in the temperature range 115–500 K. Types of inner motions of complex ions have been established, and their activation energies have been estimated. First-order transition has been found in compound LiRbTiF₆. Synthesis and some properties of the methyl ester and N,N-diethylamide of 2-azido-5-phenyl-4-thiazolecarboxylic acid

The methyl ester and N,N-diethylamide of 2-azido-5-phenyl-4-thiazolecarboxylic acid were obtained by the reaction of the corresponding 4-substituted 2-hydrazino-5-phenylthiazole with NaNO₂ in acid media. IR and UV spectroscopy were used to show that the compounds synthesized retain azide form in both the crystalline state and in solution. The reaction of azides with dicarbonyl compounds gave derivatives of 2-[5-methyl-4-acetyl-or 2-[5-methyl-4-ethoxycarbonyl-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl]-5-phenylthiazole-4-carboxylic acid.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 5, pp. 710–714, May, 1993.     

Thermal behavior of ammonium-containing titanium and germanium fluoride complexes (NH4)4Li2(AF6)3 and NH4NaAF6 (A = Ge or Ti)

The compounds (NH₄)₄Li₂A₃F₁₈ and NH₄NaAF₆ (A = Ge or Ti) were studied thermogravimetrically. These fluoro complexes are thermolyzed in the range 230–450°C. Synthesis and characterization of new ammonium-containing niobium fluoro complexes of composition NH<Subscript>4</Subscript>NaNbF<Subscript>7</Subscript> and NH<Subscript>4</Subscript>MNbOF<Subscript>5</Subscript> (M = Li and Na)

Ammonium-containing mixed-alkali-metal fluoro complexes NH₄NaNbF₇ and NH₄MNbOF₅ (M = Li and Na) crystallizing in orthorhombic system were synthesized and characterized for the first time. Unit cell parameters for these complexes were determined. Their IR absorption spectra were measured and characterized in the range 4000-350 cm⁻¹.     

Six-membered cyclic semiaminal as intermediate in the synthesis of thiazoles from thiosemicarhazide and α-haloketones

Cyclization of thiosemicarbazide with methyl 3-chloro-2-oxo-3-phenylpropionate in MeCN results in 5-hydroxy-2-imino-5-methoxycarbonyl-6-phenylperhydro-1,3,4-thiadiazine.
