Synthesis of benzoates of 1,4-bis(2,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxypiperidino)-2-butene and 1,4-bis-(2,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxypiperidino)-2-butyne

1,4-Bis(2,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxypiperidino)-2-butene and 1,4-bis(2,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxypiperidino)-2-butyne (II and III) were obtained by the action of 1,4-dibromo-2-butene and 1,4-dibromo-2-butyne on the form of 2,5-dimethyl-4-piperidol (I). Interaction in the Yb2S3-In2S3 system

A T-x diagram is designed for the Yb₂S₃-In₂S₃ system using physicochemical methods. A complex chemical reaction occurs in the system to yield ternary compounds Yb₃InS₆ (S₁), YbInS₃ (S₂), Yb₃In₅S₁₂ (S₃), and YbIn₃S₆ (S₄). In₂S₃-based limited solid solutions are found. Phases S₁, S₃, and S₄ are formed by peritectic reactions at 1260, 1200, and 1100 K, respectively. Compound S₂ melts congruently at 1390 K. Compound S₃ crystallizes in monoclinic system (a = 10.90 Å, b = 21.01 Å, c = 3.846 Å, β = 96.2°). Compounds S₁ and S₄ crystallize in orthorhombic system (for S₁, a = 16.76 Å, b = 13.70 Å, c = 3.88 Å; for S₄, a = 3.86 Å, b = 11.64 Å, c = 20.98 Å, d _exp = 4.62 g/cm³). Compound S₂ crystallizes in cubic system (a = 10.68 Å).     

Four-component system LiF-K2WO4-CaF2-CaWO4

The four-component system LiF-K₂WO₄-CaF₂-CaWO₄ has been studied by physicochemical analysis. The phase and crystallization trees have been predicted a priori and have been experimentally verified by constructing a topological model of the phase diagram and by solving the equations expressing the general law of liquidus surface formation. The heat-storage properties of the eutectic compositions are evaluated.     

Synthesis of polyfunctional polyconjugated oligomers of 4-aminophenol and their use in obtaining of antistatic composite materials

Polyconjugated oligomers containing aromatic links with hydroxyl and amino functional groups were synthesized by oxidative polycondensation of 4-aminophenol. They exhibit solubility and fusibility, heat resistant, paramagnetic and semiconductor properties, and also high reactivity in reactions characteristic for aromatic hydroxyl groups. These oligomers were used as supplements to industrial polymers. Composite materials were obtained including a rubber with high physico-mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties.     

Synthesis,physicochemical characteristics and properties of oligomeric surfactants based on pentaerythritol and propylene oxide

We carried out oxypropylation of pentaerythritol with propylene oxide at different molar ratios of reagents under the action of alkali (NaOH) catalyst. The most important physical and chemical characteristics of the obtained esters were determined and their properties as surfactants were studied. Based on these data we calculated colloid-chemical and thermodynamic parameters of micellization and adsorption.     

Mathematical Model of Functioning of an Insurance Company with Allowance for Advertising Expenses

A mathematical model of the functioning of an insurance company with allowance for advertising expenses is suggested. The basic characteristics of the capital of the company and the advertising efficiency are examined in the case in which the advertising expenses are proportional to the capital.     

The structure of the xylan from cotton-plant stems

Summary The results of a study of the products of the hydrolysis and oxidative cleavage according to Barry of cotton-plant-stem xylan has shown that its main chain consists of 14--L-anhydroxylopyranose units. Each elementary link of the xylan contains 6–7 xylopyranose units and has two side chains formed by residues of D-glucose and D-glucuronic acid, which are attached in position 2 or 3 of the xylose units of the main chain.V. Elliptic parameterization of Pfaff integrable hierarchies in the zero-dispersion limit

We show that the dispersionless limits of the Pfaff–KP (also known as the DKP or Pfaff lattice) and the Pfaff–Toda hierarchies admit a reformulation in terms of elliptic functions. In the elliptic form, they look like natural elliptic deformations of the respective dispersionless KP and two-dimensional Toda hierarchies.
