The binding of an alkene by Ni(tfd)(2) [tfd = S(2)C(2)(CF(3))(2)] is one of the most intriguing ligand-based reactions. In the presence of the anionic, reduced metal complex, the primary product is an interligand adduct, while in the absence of the anion, dihydrodithiins and metal complex decomposition products are preferred. New kinetic (global analysis) and computational (DFT) data explain the crucial role of the anion in suppressing decomposition and catalyzing the formation of the interligand product through a dimetallic complex that appears to catalyze alkene addition across the Ni-S bond, leading to a lower barrier for the interligand adduct. 相似文献

Membrane proteins are of biological and pharmaceutical significance. However, their structural study is extremely challenging mainly due to the fact that only a small number of chemical tools are suitable for stabilizing membrane proteins in solution. Detergents are widely used in membrane protein study, but conventional detergents are generally poor at stabilizing challenging membrane proteins such as G protein-coupled receptors and protein complexes. In the current study, we prepared tandem triazine-based maltosides (TZMs) with two amphiphilic triazine units connected by different diamine linkers, hydrazine (TZM−Hs) and 1,2-ethylenediamine (TZM−Es). These TZMs were consistently superior to a gold standard detergent (DDM) in terms of stabilizing a few membrane proteins. In addition, the TZM−Es containing a long linker showed more general protein stabilization efficacy with multiple membrane proteins than the TZM−Hs containing a short linker. This result indicates that introduction of the flexible1,2-ethylenediamine linker between two rigid triazine rings enables the TZM−Es to fold into favourable conformations in order to promote membrane protein stability. The novel concept of detergent foldability introduced in the current study has potential in rational detergent design and membrane protein applications. 相似文献

Complexation between ibuprofen and low molecular weight chitosan (LMWC) was studied. LMWC was prepared from high molecular
weight chitosan using the acid hydrolysis method. The complexes were investigated by using DSC, FT-IR and liquid-state 1H-NMR. Molecular mechanics (MM) calculations were used to give insight into the stoichiometry of the interaction of chitosan
with ibuprofen. The results showed that complexation of ibuprofen with LMWC involves ionic interaction between the ammonium
group of LMWC and the carboxylate anion of ibuprofen. It was also shown that it is more efficient to prepare the complexes
using lower concentration solutions of the polymer. These results were supported by molecular mechanics calculations. The
experimental results may explain the discrepancies in the literature where, in many studies, the concentration of chitosan
and its low average molecular weight were not considered to be important factors in the complexation process. 相似文献

The electrocatalytic oxidation of l-tyrosine (Tyr) was investigated on a carboxylic acid functionalised multi-walled carbon nanotubes modified carbon paste electrode using cyclic voltammetry and amperometry. The surface morphology of the electrodes was studied using field emission (FE)-SEM images, and the interface properties of bare and modified electrodes were investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The influence of the amount of modifier loading and the variation of the pH of the solution on the electrochemical parameters have been investigated. Cyclic voltammetry was carried out to study the electrochemical oxidation mechanism of Tyr, which showed an irreversible oxidation process at a potential of 637.0 mV at modified electrode. The anodic peak current linearly increased with the scan rate, suggesting that the oxidation of Tyr at modified electrode is an adsorption-controlled process. A good linear relationship between the oxidation peak current and the Tyr concentration in the range of 0.8–100.0 μM was obtained in a phosphate buffer solution at pH 7.0 with a detection limit of 14.0?±?1.36 nM (S/N?=?3). The practical utility of the sensor was demonstrated by determining Tyr in spiked cow’s milk and human blood serum. The modified electrode showed excellent reproducibility, long-term stability and antifouling effects. 相似文献
