In this study, an oxadiazole multi-wall carbon nanotube-modified glassy carbon electrode (OMWCNT−GCE) was used as a highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for hydrazine determination. The surface charge transfer rate constant, k s, and the charge transfer coefficient, α, for electron transfer between GCE and electrodeposited oxadiazole were calculated as 19.4 ± 0.5 s−1 and 0.51, respectively at pH = 7.0. The obtained results indicate that hydrazine peak potential at OMWCNT−GCE shifted for 14, 109, and 136 mV to negative values as compared with oxadiazole-modified GCE, MWCNT−GCE, and activated GCE surface, respectively. The electron transfer coefficient, α, and the heterogeneous rate constant, k′, for the oxidation of hydrazine at OMWCNT−GCE were also determined by cyclic voltammetry measurements. Two linear dynamic ranges of 0.6 to 10.0 μM and 10.0 to 400.0 μM and detection limit of 0.17 μM for hydrazine determination were evaluated using differential pulse voltammetry. In addition, OMWCNT−GCE was shown to be successfully applied to determine hydrazine in various water samples.

The influence of six different supercritical carbon dioxide extraction conditions on the quantity and quality of the extracted lipids from Chlorella vulgaris (C. vulgaris) was examined using experimental design. The investigated parameters included dynamic extraction times (45 and 90 min), pressures (300 and 350 bars) and a modifier (with and without ethanol). By using a grinding method prior to the extraction, cells were disrupted resulting in an enhanced extraction yield. The results showed that the total lipid yields increased by increasing the pressure, extraction time and the modifier. Applying harsher extraction conditions increased the extraction of longer-chain fatty acids (FAs), changed the FA compositions and enhanced the total lipid yield. Using transesterification, the extracted lipids were converted to biodiesel. The biodiesel physiochemical properties were estimated using empirical equations based on the fatty acid methyl ester contents. Furthermore, analysis of the protein content of remaining biomass showed a decrease in protein content with increasing the lipid extraction yield.  相似文献

This technical note reports on a new procedure to on-column-label organelles sampled from a tissue cross section into a fused silica capillary. These organelles are then analyzed by capillary electrophoresis with postcolumn laser-induced fluorescence detection. In this procedure, the fluorescent label does not come in contact with the tissue, which facilitates visualization of the sampled tissue cross section. In addition, on-column labeling allows for better control of the reaction time and fluorescent label concentrations. As a proof-of-principle, we show results of mitochondria from rat gastrocnemius muscle cross sections that were on-column-labeled with 10-N-nonyl acridine orange (NAO), a mitochondrion-specific probe, and compare them with results for NAO in-tissue labeling of the same tissue. The new organelle labeling procedure reported here may easily be extended to the analysis of individual organelles in other biological samples and may become a valuable tool in studies investigating the role of mitochondria in muscle aging and exercise physiology.   相似文献

In this work, we apply the homotopy analysis method to solve fin problems with temperature-dependent thermal conductivity. The results are compared with the solutions obtained by the Adomian decomposition method (ADM), homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and with the Taylor series expansion method as well. The results of the comparisons have shown that the ADM and HPM are just an approximation of the present study and the accuracy of the solution obtained by the present study is much better than the latter algorithms.  相似文献

An analytic approximate solution is presented for the natural convective dissipative heat transfer of an incompressible, third grade, non-Newtonian fluid flowing past an infinite porous plate embedded in a Darcy–Forchheimer porous medium. The mathematical model is developed in an (x,y) coordinate system. Using a set of transformations, the momentum equation is rendered one-dimensional and a partly linearized heat conservation equation is derived. The viscoelastic formulation presented by Akyildiz [Akyildiz FT. A note on the flow of a third grade between heated parallel plates. Int J Non-Linear Mech 2001;36:349–52] is adopted, which generates lateral mass and viscoelastic terms in the heat conservation equation, as well as in the momentum equation. A number of special cases of the general transformed model are discussed. A homotopy analysis method (HAM) is implemented to solve, with appropriate boundary conditions, the coupled third-order, second degree ordinary differential equation for momentum and the second-order, fourth degree heat conservation equation.  相似文献

This review covers recent developments in the preparation, manipulation, and analyses of subcellular environments. In particular, it highlights approaches for (1) separation and detection of individual organelles, (2) preparation of ultra-pure organelle fractions, and (3) utilization of novel labeling strategies. These approaches, based on innovative technologies such as microfluidics, immunoisolation, mass spectrometry and electrophoresis, suggest that subcellular analyses will soon become as commonplace as single cell and bulk cellular assays.  相似文献
