A method is described for the a.a.s. determination of nickel in manganese nodules after its separation from interfering metals. After dissolution of the sample in a mixture of perchloric and hydrofluoric acids, manganese, iron, cobalt, copper and other elements are adsorbed on the strongly basic anion exchange resin Dowex 1 (chloride form) from 95% ethanol-5% 12 M hydrochloric acid. The nickel passes into the effluent in which it is determined by a.a.s. with an air-acetylene flame. The method was used successfully for the determination of nickel in numerous samples of nodules from the Pacific Ocean.  相似文献

The Platinum Group Elements (PGEs) used in automotive catalytic converters are partly emitted into the air during use and can enter the human respiratory system. Due to the increasing use of automotive catalytic converters, the importance of this problem cannot be overlooked.The goal of this investigation was to determine the concentration of Pt in the urine of individuals occupationally exposed to urban air with heavy traffic. Sector field inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (SF–ICP–MS) was used for determination of Pt in the urine of tram drivers. 38 and 34 subjects were investigated in Vienna and Budapest, respectively. Samples were taken from the tram drivers both before and after the shift.The results for Pt were compared to those from a previous study performed by our team. The comparison showed that the concentration medians were 4 times higher than the previous ones. Moreover, the values in Budapest were about twice as high as those from Vienna. A partly significant change could be observed between the two sets of data: before, and after the shift.  相似文献

An electrothermal atomic absorption method (ETAAS) for the direct determination of trace elements (Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn, Se) both in blood fractions (erythrocytes, plasma and lymphocytes) and whole blood was developed. Zeeman background correction and graphite tubes with L'vov platforms were used. Samples were diluted with HNO3/Triton X-100 and pipetted directly into the graphite tube. Ashing, pretreatment and atomization steps were optimized carefully for the different fractions and elements applying different matrix modifiers for each element. For the lymphocyte fraction a multi-fold injection technique was applied. Low detection limits of the ETAAS method (Cd 0.13 microgram/L, Cr 0.11 microgram/L, Cu 0.52 microgram/L, Mn 0.13 microgram/L, Se 0.7 microgram/L of whole blood) combined with small quantities of sample necessary for analysis allow determination of trace elements in this matrix. Verification of possible differences in the trace element status of humans was performed with statistical significance (P < 0.05). In addition, a contribution to the determination of normal values of essential elements was achieved. The method was applied for determination of trace elements in human blood and blood fractions of two groups (n = 50) different in health status.  相似文献

A method is described for the atomic-absorption determination of beryllium in liquid environmental samples after separation by solvent extraction and cation-exchange. The beryllium is first isolated from natural waters and beverages by chloroform extraction of its acetylacetonate from a solution at pH 7 and containing EDTA. The chloroform extract is then mixed in the ratio of 3:6:1 with tetrahydrofuran and methanol containing nitric acid, and passed through a column of Dowex 50 x 8 (H(+)-form). After removal of acetylacetone, chloroform and tetrahydrofuran by washing the resin bed with methanol-HNO(3), beryllium is eluted with 6M hydrochloric acid and determined by atomic-absorption spectroscopy. The method was successfully applied to determine beryllium in tap-, river- and sea-water samples, mineral waters and wines. Beryllium contents in the range from < 0.01 to 2.3 microg/l were found in these materials.  相似文献

Three practical synthetic entries of functionalized 6-fluoro-7-substituted indole derivatives were developed in connection with the preparation of 7-fluoro-8-substituted-1,3,4,9-tetrahydropyrano[3,4-b]indole-1-acetic acid derivatives 11 . The first route, which permits group modification about position 8 of the pyranoindole skeleton, employs 2-bromo-3-fluoroaniline ( 18 ) as a key intermediate, the preparation of which was achieved by either a novel ortho metalation of 15 or via the intermediacy of 22 . The second route utilizes 32 to append a terminally functionalized three carbon side chain onto the indole template and in addition leads to 43 from 40 . The third route to the 7-fluoro-8-substituted-pyranoindole skeleton complements route two in that the synthetic pathway exploits 32 in a nucleophilic fashion to construct a terminally functionalized two carbon appendage onto the indole nucleus.  相似文献

We propose a new continuous-time contracting model, in which the firm value process can only be observed with noise, and there are two sources of moral hazard: the agent’s effort and misvaluation. The principal can induce the agent to alter the perceived fundamental value of the firm through misvaluation, thus changing the market estimate of that value. We consider two cases in detail: the one in which the market correctly anticipates only the effort, and the other in which it correctly anticipates both the effort and the amount of misvaluation. In the first case, we find that it is optimal for the principal to induce the agent to apply a non-zero amount of misvaluation. Using calculus of variation techniques, we find the optimal pay-per-performance sensitivity (PPS) of the contract and optimal effort and misvaluation amount, by means of solving of a second order ordinary differential equation. In the second case, which can be viewed as an extension of the seminal Holmstrom-Milgrom model to the case of noisy observations, we find that the optimal misvaluation value is zero, and we compare the resulting optimal contract to the Holmstrom-Milgrom contract.  相似文献

Here we have investigated the influence of the antenna group position on both the formation of chiral amphiphilic EuIII‐based self‐assemblies in CH3CN solution and, on the ability to form monolayers on the surface of quartz substrates using the Langmuir–Blodgett technique, by changing from the 1‐naphthyl ( 2(R) , 2(S) ) to the 2‐naphthyl ( 1(R) , 1(S) ) position. The evaluation of binding constants of the self‐ assemblies in CH3CN solution was achieved using conventional techniques such as UV/Visible and luminescence spectroscopies along with more specific circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy. The binding constants obtained for EuL , EuL2 and EuL3 species in the case of 2‐naphthyl derivatives were comparable to those obtained for 1‐naphthyl derivatives. The analysis of the changes in the CD spectra of 1(R) and 1(S) upon addition of EuIII not only allowed us to evaluate the values of the binding constants but the resulting recalculated spectra may also be used as fingerprints for assignment of the chiral self‐assembly species formed in solution. The obtained monolayers were predominantly formed from EuL3 (≈85 %) with the minor species present in ≈15 % EuL2 .  相似文献

Exploiting the information about members of a Social Network (SN) represents one of the most attractive and dwelling subjects for both academic and applied scientists. The community of Complexity Science and especially those researchers working on multiplex social systems are devoting increasing efforts to outline general laws, models, and theories, to the purpose of predicting emergent phenomena in SN’s (e.g. success of a product). On the other side the semantic web community aims at engineering a new generation of advanced services tailored to specific people needs. This implies defining constructs, models and methods for handling the semantic layer of SNs. We combined models and techniques from both the former fields to provide a hybrid approach to understand a basic (yet complex) phenomenon: the propagation of individual interests along the social networks. Since information may move along different social networks, one should take into account a multiplex structure. Therefore we introduced the notion of “Semantic Multiplex”. In this paper we analyse two different semantic social networks represented by authors publishing in the Computer Science and those in the American Physical Society Journals.
