Summary Thermal degradation under N2atmosphere and thermoxidative degradation under air atmosphere of increasingly grafting efficiency values (i.e. GE%=0.0 to 35.5) for starch and starch grafted with N-tert-butylacrylamide thermosensitive copolymers (starch-g-BAM) by Ozawa and Kissinger methods using thermogravimetric analysis (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry techniques (DSC) at 10, 30 and 50% mass losses respectively have been studied. Influence of physical inter and intra molecular interactions on grafting and consequently on activation energy of degradation (Ea,d) was investigated using Ozawa's method, whereas linear dependence of Ea,don GE% by scaling relations using Kissinger's method was determined. Furthermore, the thermoxidative degradation induces the possibility of molecular rearrangement, cyclization and partial crosslinking that is deduced from the activation energy of degradation (Ea,d) and residual mass of TG profile. Thermal stability of starch does not alter as a result of different grafting efficiency percentages.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of Eucalptus Camaldulensis and Cotton Stalks at different heating rates showed three exothermic peaks. The heating rate is the factor that affects their sharpness and position. The peaks are sharp at low heating rates. The diastereoselective syntheses of Zn(II) bis(dipyrrinato) helicates is reported, involving ligands templated by the incorporation of homochiral binol within the linker joining the two dipyrrinato units. The most diastereoselective formation of dinuclear bis(dipyrrinato) helicates to date is reported. The formation of either mononuclear or dinuclear helicates can be tuned by varying the length of the linker between the dipyrrinato units and by varying the complexation procedure. The neutral dipyrrinato helicates were readily analyzed by HPLC to ascertain diastereoselectivity, and circular dichroism studies revealed the helical nature of the complexes. The molar ellipticities of the helicates produced by diastereoselective complexation are very large in the visible region and typically correspond to binol moieties in the UV region. Extensive X-ray crystallographic investigations further confirmed the helicity of the mononuclear Zn(II) helicates and identified significant interlayer displacement and bending within crystals.  相似文献

A method to derive the stiffness of self-similar elastic fractals is presented based on structural mechanics principles and a physically motivated similarity criterion, which is assumed as a postulate. Using this method, the stiffnesses of both the Von Koch curve and the Sierpiński gasket in the small-deformation regime are derived. For these fractal structures, it is shown that the stiffness matrix is completely determined by a single elastic constant. The procedure to tile a planar domain with Sierpiński gaskets is explored and shown to require the consideration of hexagonal-shaped combinations of gaskets joined continuously along their edges. This continuity leads to a phenomenon of geometrically induced inextensibility along the common edges. After deriving the stiffness matrix for the basic hexagon, the analog of the Boussinesq–Flamant problem for a tiled half-plane is solved numerically to demonstrate the potential of the method in modeling of solid mechanics applications.  相似文献

Quantitative ultrasound for bone assessment is based on the correlations between ultrasonic parameters and the properties (mechanical and physical) of cancellous bone. To elucidate the correlations, understanding the physics of ultrasound in cancellous bone is demanded. Micro-scale modeling of ultrasound propagation in cancellous bone using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method has been so far utilized as one of the approaches in this regard. However, the FDTD method accompanies two disadvantages: staircase sampling of cancellous bone by finite difference grids leads to generation of wave artifacts at the solid–fluid interface inside the bone; additionally, this method cannot explicitly satisfy the needed perfect-slip conditions at the interface. To overcome these disadvantages, the finite element method (FEM) is proposed in this study. Three-dimensional finite element models of six water-saturated cancellous bone samples with different bone volume were created. The values of speed of sound (SOS) and broadband ultrasound attenuation (BUA) were calculated through the finite element simulations of ultrasound propagation in each sample. Comparing the results with other experimental and simulation studies demonstrated the capabilities of the FEM for micro-scale modeling of ultrasound in water-saturated cancellous bone.  相似文献
