A new method of analysis of the efficiency of four filters of MnO2 in series which takes into account the reactions induced in plutonium by the sorbent is described. The system of differential equations describing the behaviour of plutonium in water as it passes through the filters is solved and the parameters of the filters are determined for a best fitting of the solutions corresponding to the experimental uncertainties. The method is checked by numerical simulation and then applied to water solutions with a known plutonium concentration and to some experimental results given by other authors. In all occassions the results are consistent with the possibility of determining the contents of plutonium in sea and continental waters with uncertainties of the order of 10%.  相似文献

Simplified analogues of the potent antimitotic marine macrolide spongistatin 1/altohyrtin A were synthesised and evaluated as growth inhibitory agents against a range of human tumour cell lines, including Taxol-resistant strains, revealing that E-ring dehydration leads to enhanced cytotoxicity at the low picomolar level while truncation of the side-chain at C46 results in a drastic decrease in activity.  相似文献

In this paper the authors present a study of the adsorption of thorium on manganese dioxide by batch equilibration and cartridge experiments. Some anomalies in the use of MnO2 to concentrate thorium have been found. So the use of this technique is limited for the determination of thorium in natural waters.  相似文献

Recent publications on pharmaceutical monitoring are increasingly covering the field of illicit drugs and lately the forensic evaluation of designing illegal analogs of lifestyle drugs like the phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitors Viagra (sildenafil), Levitra (vardenafil) and Cialis (tadalafil). Recently, the presence of all three erectile dysfunction treatment drugs has been reported in wastewaters at very low concentrations. In the environment, contaminants undergo various physical or chemical processes classified into abiotic (photolysis, hydrolysis) and biotic (biodegradation) reactions. Thus, changes in the chemical structure lead to the formation of new transformation products, which may persist in the environment or be further degraded. This study describes the photolysis of sildenafil (SDF) and its human metabolite N-demethylsildenafil (DM-SDF) under simulated solar radiation (Xenon lamp). Following chromatographic separation of the irradiated samples, eight photoproducts in the SDF samples and six photoproducts for DM-SDF were detected and characterized. The combination of ultra performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-quadrupole time-of-flight-mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-QToF-MS), liquid chromatography-atmospheric pressure chemical ionization-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC-APCI-QqQ-MS) and hydrogen/deuterium-exchange experiments allowed to propose plausible chemical structures for the photoproducts, taking into account the characteristic fragmentation patterns and the accurate mass measurements. These mass spectral data provided sound evidence for the susceptibility of the piperazine ring toward photodegradation. A gradual breakdown of this heterocyclic structure gave rise to a series of products, which in part were identical for SDF and DM-SDF. The sulfonic acid, as the formal product of sulfonamide hydrolysis, was identified as key intermediate in the photolysis pathway. In both drug/metabolite molecules, phototransformation processes taking place beyond the sulfonamide group were deemed to be of minor relevance.  相似文献

A method was developed for the quantitative analysis of the novel anticancer agent ES-285 (spisulosine; free base) in human, mouse, rat, and dog plasma using high-performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry in order to support pre-clinical and clinical studies with the drug. Sample preparation was carried out by protein precipitation with acetonitrile, containing isotopically labeled (d(3)) ES-285 as internal standard. Aliquots of 10 micro l of the supernatant were injected directly on to an Inertsil ODS-3 column (50 x 2.0 mm i.d., 5 micro m). Elution was carried out using methanol-10 mM ammonium formate (pH 4) in water (80 : 20, v/v) pumped at a flow-rate of 0.2 ml min(-1) with a run time of 8 min. Multiple reaction monitoring chromatograms obtained on an API365 triple-quadrupole mass spectrometer were used for quantification. The lower limit of quantitation (LLOQ) was 10 ng ml(-1) in human, mouse, rat, and dog plasma and the linear dynamic range extended to 500 ng ml(-1). A full validation of the method was performed in human plasma, and partial validations were performed in mouse, rat and dog plasma. Accuracies and precisions were <20% at the LLOQ concentration and <15% for all other concentrations in all matrices. ES-285 was stable during all steps of the assay. Thus far this method has been used successfully to analyze over 500 samples in pre-clinical trials, and will be implemented in the planned clinical phase I studies.  相似文献

This research paper presents a comparative study of two different extraction and concentration techniques to obtain representative pistachio aroma extracts: the traditional direct solvent extraction (DSE) followed by high-vacuum transfer (HVT) and the headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME). The results showed that, although both techniques provide accurate information about the aromatic composition that will be perceived by the consumer, the precision in terms of within-day repeatability and between-days repeatability (intermediate precision) of the chromatographic areas presented better values for HS-SPME than for DSE-HVT. Moreover the solvent-free HS-SPME allows the extraction of more odour-active regions, requires very little sample handling and shorter time for sampling.  相似文献

In this work, the ability of an electronic tongue based on Fourier-Transform Mid Infrared (FT-MIR) spectroscopy as a gustative sensor is assessed by emulating the responses of a tasting panel for the gustative mouthfeel “tannin amount”. The FT-MIR spectra were modeled against the sensory responses evaluated in 37 red wines by means of partial least squares (PLS) regression models. In order to find the wavenumbers more correlated with the sensorial attribute and thus providing the best predictive models, six different variable selection techniques were tested. The iterative predictor weighting IPW-PLS technique showed the best results with the smallest RMSEC and RMSECV values (0.07 and 0.13, respectively) using 20 selected wavenumbers. The coincident wavenumbers selected by the six variable selection techniques were interpreted based on the absorption bands of tannin and then a calibration model using these wavenumbers was built to validate the interpretation made.  相似文献

Two families of bicyclic fluorinated uracils have been prepared starting from a gem-difluorinated unsaturated nitrile, by means of a ring-closing metathesis reaction to form the new ring, which is fused at the C-5/C-6 or N-1/C-6 positions of the uracil moiety. The selective formation of olefin regioisomers in the metathesis process can be controlled according to the reaction conditions (catalyst, solvent, and temperature). The acaricidal activities of the resulting compounds have also been investigated.  相似文献

Adsorption of americium with manganese-dioxide-impregnated filters has been studied. The adsorption of americium decreases as the pH increases due to its hydrolysis. From the reported laboratory experiments, it can be concluded that the adsorption on manganese-dioxide filters is not a reliable method to determine americium in natural waters.  相似文献
