alpha-Glycylglycine in its actual crystalline phase is studied by ab initio calculated nuclear quadrupole coupling constants. These physical quantities are computed for 2H and 14N in the hydrogen bonds. The type of hydrogen bond is the N-H...O type. The computations are performed with the RHF and B3LYP methods and 6-31++G** and 6-311++G** basis sets using the Gaussian 98 program. Values of the calculated nuclear quadrupole coupling constants are shown in Tables 1-3. The aim of this work is the study of 2H and 14N quadrupole coupling constants which contribute in the CON2H...O=CN2H type of hydrogen bond. The computed nuclear quadrupole coupling constants of 2H nuclei meet the related experimental values. In addition, the computed chi value of 14N belonging to the -CO-14NH- group agrees well with values obtained experimentally. However, there are some discrepancies between calculated 14N chi values of the N+H3 residue and experiments. Also, the values of these physical parameters are calculated for >C2H2 of alpha-glycylglycine in its crystalline phase. Calculations for these parameters are carried out in a single molecule using X-ray diffraction coordinates, too.  相似文献

For the first time, the study of the antioxidant activity, the characterization of the phytoconstituants, and the evaluation of in vitro and in vivo toxicity of A. djiboutiensis leave and latex are performed. The antioxidant activity of both latex (ADL) and the methanolic extract of leaves (ADM) is determined using 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2′-azino-bis 3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid (ABTS) scavenging radical methods and ferric reducing/antioxidant power (FRAP) assay. The phytochemical study of latex is done using Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and a molecular networking-based approach. The evaluation of in vivo toxicity is performed on mice by oral gavage with a suspension of ADL. Our results show that weak antioxidant activity of ADL and ADM in opposition to their high polyphenol, 83.01 mg and 46.4 mg expressed in gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/g of dry weight (DW), respectively, and flavonoid contents 13.12 mg and 4.25 mg expressed in quercetin equivalent (QE)/g dry weight (DW), respectively. Using the Global Natural Products Social Molecular Networking (GNPS) website, nine (9) anthraquinones derivatives, ten (10) chromones derivatives, two (2) flavonols/ chromones isomers are annotated in the molecular network. The treated mice do not display abnormalities in their general physical appearance and biochemistry parameters, compared to the controls. Only glucose and calcium levels are slightly higher in male treated mice compared to the vehicles.  相似文献

In this work, a series of eight new spiro[3,4′]1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one-2′-amino-4′,6′,7′,8′-tetrahydro-2′,5’(1’H,3’H)-quinazoline-diones were successfully synthesized through a three-component reaction of 1H-indole-2,3-diones (isatins), guanidine nitrate, and 1,3-cyclohexanediones, by use of Kit-6 mesoporous silica coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4@SiO2@KIT-6) as a highly efficient magnetically separable nanocatalyst in aqueous media at 60°C. Several notable features of thiseco-friendly protocol are high yields of products, short reaction times, operational simplicity, and the use of easily available and recyclable catalyst.  相似文献

An antiviral agent is urgently needed based on the high probability of the emergence and re-emergence of future viral disease, highlighted by the recent global COVID-19 pandemic. The emergence may be seen in the discovery of the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and recently discovered Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2. The need for strategies besides testing and isolation, social distancing, and vaccine development is clear. One of the strategies includes searching for an antiviral agent that provides effective results without toxicity, which is well-presented by significant results for carrageenan nasal spray in providing efficacy against human coronavirus-infected patients. As the primary producer of sulfated polysaccharides, marine plants, including macro- and microalgae, offer versatility in culture, production, and post-isolation development in obtaining the needed antiviral agent. Therefore, this review will describe an attempt to highlight the search for practical and safe antiviral agents from algal-based sulfated polysaccharides and to unveil their features for future development.  相似文献

Librational corrections are added to previous single-crystal and polycrystalline measurements of the deuteron quadrupole coupling constant in benzene. The results are related to gas-phase and liquid-crystal measurements and to theoretical values. A 'temperature-dependent Einstein model' is introduced for the purpose. The group-theoretical relations of the electric field-gradient (EFG) tensor to the nuclear site symmetry are discussed. The importance of 1,5-O⋅⋅⋅chalcogen (Ch) interactions in isochalcogenourea catalysis (Ch=O, S, Se) is investigated. Conformational analyses of N-acyl isochalcogenouronium species and comparison with kinetic data demonstrate the significance of 1,5-O⋅⋅⋅Ch interactions in enantioselective catalysis. Importantly, the selenium analogue demonstrates enhanced rate and selectivity profiles across a range of reaction processes including nitronate conjugate addition and formal [4+2] cycloadditions. A gram-scale synthesis of the most active selenium analogue was developed using a previously unreported seleno-Hugerschoff reaction, allowing the challenging kinetic resolutions of tertiary alcohols to be performed at 500 ppm catalyst loading. Density functional theory (DFT) and natural bond orbital (NBO) calculations support the role of orbital delocalization (occurring by intramolecular chalcogen bonding) in determining the conformation, equilibrium population, and reactivity of N-acylated intermediates.  相似文献

There is widespread interest in responsive polymers that show cloud point behavior, but little attention is paid to their solid state thermal properties. To manufacture products based on such polymers, it may be necessary to subject them to high temperatures; hence, it is important to investigate their thermal behavior. In this study, we characterized a family of poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide‐co‐hydroxymethylacrylamide) copolymers. Although poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) shows very high thermal stability (up to 360 °C), introduction of hydroxy side chains leads to a significant reduction in stability and new degradation processes become apparent. Thermogravimetric analysis and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR) indicate that the first degradation process involves a chemical dehydration step (110–240 °C), supported by the nonreversing heat flow response in modulated temperature differential scanning calorimetry. Water loss scales with the fraction of hydroxy monomer in the copolymer. Glass transition temperatures (Tg) are higher than the temperatures causing dehydration; hence, these values relate to newly‐formed copolymer structures produced by controlled heating under nitrogen. Fourier transform‐Raman (FT‐Raman) spectra suggest that this transition involves imine formation. The Tg increases as the fraction of hydroxy groups in the original copolymer increases. Further heating leads to degradation and mass loss, and more complex changes in the FT‐IR spectra, consistent with formation of unsaturated species. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A systematic computational study was carried out to characterize the 17O, 14N, and 2H nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) parameters in the anhydrous and monohydrated cytosine crystalline structures. To include the hydrogen-bonding effects in the calculations, the most probable interacting molecules with the central molecule in the crystalline phase were considered in the pentameric clusters of both structures. To calculate the parameters, couples of the methods B3LYP and B3PW91 and the basis sets 6-311++G** and CC-pVTZ were employed. The mentioned methods calculated reliable values of 17O, 14N, and 2H NQR tensors in the pentameric clusters, which are in good agreements with the experiment. The different influences of various hydrogen-bonding interactions types, N-H...N, N-H...O, and O-H...O, were observed on the 17O, 14N, and 2H NQR tensors. Lower values of quadrupole coupling constants and higher values of asymmetry parameters in the crystalline monohydrated cytosine indicate the presence of stronger hydrogen-bonding interactions in the monohydrated form rather than that of crystalline anhydrous cytosine.  相似文献
