Structural properties of the trimetallic acetylide complex [{Ru(CO)2(η5C5H5)}3(η1:η1:η2:-CC)]+

The purpose of this Note is the study of the structure and fluxional behavior of the complex [{Ru(CO)₂(η⁵C₅H₅)}₃(η¹:η¹:η²:-CC)]⁺, using density functional methods. The molecular geometry of this complex will be optimized, the transition state (TS) of the fluxional process will be determined and the origin of the energy barrier will be analyzed.

Xanthates were easily prepared by adsorption of alcohol on KF-Al₂O₃ followed by treatment of carbon disulfide and iodomethane at room temperature. Pyrolysis of benzyl xanthate affords to a complex mixture of products. A radical process was proposed to explain the nature of products obtained.     

Solvent-Free Condensation of Methyl Pyridinium and Quinolinium Salts with Aldehydes Catalyzed by DBU

Methylpyridinium and methylquinolinium salts were condensed under solvent-free conditions with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.]undec-7-ene (DBU) as catalyst, by grinding at room temperature. The products are dyes or useful intermediates. The DBU can be easily recycled and reused.     

Étude de l?adhérence des joncs et des plats composite avec le béton par flexion (beam test)

The Near Surface Mounted (NSM) technique has been used in recent years for the strengthening of reinforced concrete beams. It involves the insertion of strips or rods of polymers reinforced with carbon fiber (CFRP) in the groove made previously in the concrete cover of corresponding surfaces, filled with epoxy adhesive for fixation. In order to characterize the bond behavior of the laminate and rods to concrete, an experimental work of pullout-bending tests was carried out. The pullout force at the laminate and the slip at the free and loaded end were measured. The influences of the concrete strength, the strength of the bond, and bond length on the bonding behavior between the three materials concrete, epoxy adhesive and CFRP were analyzed.     

A Calculation of the Culler-shalen Seminorms Associated to Small Seifert Dehn Fillings

We determine the relationship between the multiplicities ofthe zeros of certain rational functions defined on the SL₂(C)and PSL₂C character varieties of knot exteriors. Some results for fractional boundary value problem of differential inclusions

In this paper, we study fractional differential inclusions with Dirichlet boundary conditions. We prove the existence of a solution under both convexity and nonconvexity conditions on the multi-valued right-hand side. The proofs rely on nonlinear alternative Leray–Schauder type, Bressan–Colombo selection theorem and Covitz and Nadler’s fixed point theorem for multi-valued contractions. The compactness of the set solutions and relaxation results is also established. In the last section we consider the fractional boundary value problem with infinite delay.     

Surface plasmon resonance immunosensor for bacteria detection

This work describes an approach for the development of two bacteria biosensors based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technique. The first biosensor was based on functionalized gold substrate and the second one on immobilized gold nanoparticles. For the first biosensor, the gold substrate was functionalized with acid-thiol using the self-assembled monolayer technique, while the second one was functionalized with gold nanoparticles immobilized on modified gold substrate. A polyclonal anti-Escherichia coli antibody was immobilized for specific (E. coli) and non-specific (Lactobacillus) bacteria detection. Detection limit with a good reproducibility of 10⁴ and 10³ cfu mL⁻¹ of E. coli bacteria has been obtained for the first biosensor and for the second one respectively. A refractive index variation below 5 × 10⁻³ due to bacteria adsorption is able to be detected. The refractive index of the multilayer structure and of the E. coli bacteria layer was estimated with a modeling software.     

Characterization of the Landau expansion equation for SrTiO3 under pressure

This work focuses on the characterization of the expansion of Landau's main equation for Pm3?m structures, which are transformed with symmetry subgroups, associated with M+3 and R+4 special points of the Brillouin zone, under hydrostatic pressure. This solution has been adapted to include the general influence of hydrostatic pressure and the evolution of the order parameter. We present a simple scheme in order to search systematically the ground state of all perovskite structures derivable from octahedral rotations under high pressure. We have applied this adaptation to SrTiO₃ perovskite. Results of the characterization of Landau′s equation for the cubic-tetragonal phase transition under pressure are discussed here.
