The influence of methyl metharcylate and gamma exposure dose on the physico-chemical and mechanical properties of polymer-alite composite have been investigated. The hardened alite samples were impregnated with a methyl methacrylate monomer and then subjected to γ irradiation doses from 10–50 KGy. The effect of polymer loading (%), compressive strength, bulk density and the microstructure (scanning electron microscopy SEM), in addition IR spectra were studied. The results indicate that, polymer loading, compressive strength and bulk density increase with increasing absorbed dose. This is attributed to the deposition of the polymer in the pores of the samples. SEM showed the voids between the particles in the samples before the impregnation, whereas, the formation of new products in the pores appeared after impregnation.  相似文献

Thin films of 4-tricyanovinyl-N,N-diethylaniline (TCVA) were prepared for the first time using thermal evaporation technique. The molecular structure and electronic transitions of TCVA films were investigated by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectra. The observed vibrational wavenumbers in FTIR spectra were analysed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. UV-vis electronic absorption spectral measurements of TCVA films were analysed to obtain the electronic transitions and optical band gap (E(g)). Other important optical parameters such as molar extinction coefficient (varepsilon(molar)), the oscillator strength (f), and the electric dipole strength (q(2)) were also reported.  相似文献

This study is directed towards the synthesis of the pyrrolo[1,2-α]indole skeleton which is the essential ring system of the active antitumor miomycins. To this end a number of fused heterocycles such as benzothiazines, benzoxazines, indoles and quinolines were synthesized. Thin films of 4-tricyanovinyl-N,N-diethylaniline (TCVA) were prepared by thermal evaporation technique. The spectral and the optical parameters have been investigated by using the spectrophotometric measurements of both transmittance and reflectance at normal incidence of light in the wavelength range 200–2500 nm. The effect of γ-irradiation on the optical parameters was investigated. It was observed that the increase in γ-irradiation dose caused an increase in the value of absorption index and a shift in the spectrum towards higher wavelengths. Therefore, the value of the optical band gap has decreased from 1.45 eV for as-deposited film to 1.39 eV for film exposed to γ-ray dose of 150 kGy and Urbach tail increased. On the other hand, the dispersion parameters of TCVA films were increased with the increase of the irradiation dose.  相似文献

Antimony trisulphide (Sb2S3) films were prepared by thermal evaporation technique on n-type single crystal Si substrates to fabricate p-Sb2S3/n-Si heterojunctions. The electrical transport properties of the p–Sb2S3/n-Si heterojunctions were investigated by current–voltage (IV) and capacitance–voltage (CV) measurements. The temperature-dependent IV characteristics revealed that the forward conduction was determined by multi-step tunnelling current and the activation energy of saturation current was about 0.54 eV. The 1/C2V plots indicated the junction was abrupt and the junction built-in potential was 0.6 V at room temperature and decreased with increasing temperature. The solar cell parameters have been calculated for the fabricated cell as Voc = 0.50 V, Jsc = 14.53 mA cm−2, FF = 0.32 and η = 4.65% under an illumination of 50 mW cm−2.  相似文献

Nano-crystalline hydroxyapatite adsorbent that was prepared by microwave processing was utilized for cadmium removal from aqueous solutions using the batch technique. Cadmium sorption on the prepared adsorbent was studied as a function of initial cadmium concentration in the aqueous solution, adsorbent dosage, agitation speed, hydrogen ion concentration of the aqueous solution (pH), and the solution temperature. The highest Cd2+ sorption was achieved at agitation rate of 500 rpm. The sorption process was relatively fast and equilibrium was achieved after about 240 min of contact. The optimum sorption of cadmium occurred at pH range 4-7. The kinetic process of Cd2+ sorption onto the synthesized nano-hydroxyapatite was tested by applying the pseudo-first order, the pseudo-second order, the simple Elovich and intraparticle diffusion rate models. The sorption process follows a pseudo second-order kinetics with a contribution of intraparticle diffusion. Thermodynamic parameters ΔH, ΔS and ΔG have been calculated. Positive value of ΔH and negative value of ΔG show endothermic and spontaneous nature of sorption respectively. The relatively small value of the activation energy that equal to 8.61 kJ/mol confirms that cadmium sorption process is diffusion controlled. The main mechanism for cadmium ions removal using the synthesized nano-hydroxyapatite was suggested to be ion-exchange and diffusion controlled.  相似文献

Thin films of 4-tricyanovinyl-N,N-diethylaniline (TCVA) with different thickness were prepared using thermal evaporation technique. A relative permittivity, ?r, of 3.04 was estimated from the dependence of capacitance on film thickness. The current density-voltage (J-V) characteristics of TCVA thin films have been investigated at different temperatures. At low-voltage region, the current conduction in the Au/TCVA/Au sandwich structures obeys Ohm's law. At the higher-voltage regions, the charge transport phenomenon appears to be space-charge-limited current (SCLC) dominated by an exponential distribution of traps with total trap concentration of 1.21 × 1022 m−3. Let (X,Y) be a random vector and let G and H be the marginal distributions of X and Y, respectively. In this paper, we propose two tests, one of Kolmogorov‐Smirnov type and the other of Wilcoxon type, for the null hypothesis Ψ(G) = H against the alternative Ψ(G) < H, where Ψ() is a function such that Ψ(G) is a distribution function. The tests are based on the empirical distribution functions of the observations on X and Y, which are dependent. We obtain their asymptotic null distributions. A suspected relationship between the distribution functions of two dependent outcomes can be specified as a hypothesis to be tested in examples like the load sharing models, record values, and auction bidding models. As an application, we consider in detail the problem of testing the effect of load sharing in two component parallel systems.  相似文献
