UPPER CRETACEOUS-PALEOCENE BOUNDARY IN JIANGSU, ANHUI AND THE NEIGHBOURING DISTRICTS

Based on the study of Upper Cretaceous and Early Tertiary of southern Jiangsu andsouthern Anhui. and by comparing the outcropping strata, with the gas-and oil-bearing stra-ta of northern Jiangsu, it has been suggested that the Mesozoic-Cenozoic boundary lies betweenthe Chishan Formation and the Taizhou Formation, which is equivalent to that betweenihe Nanxiong Formation and the Shanghu Formation of the Nanxiong basin in Guangdong.     

苏皖及邻区上白垩统与下第三系的界线

本文通过对苏南及皖南地表上白垩统和下第三系的调查和研究,试将地表的地层与苏北井下的含油、气层进行对比;详细地讨论了区内中、新生界的界线,提出赤山组与泰州组之间为上白垩统与下第三系的界线,相当于我国南方南雄组与上湖组之间的界线。
