On the persistence of elliptic lower-dimensional tori in Hamiltonian systems under the first Melnikov condition and Rüssmann’s non-degeneracy condition

In this paper we formulate a theorem on the persistence of elliptic lower-dimensional invariant tori for nearly integrable analytic Hamiltonian systems under the first Melnikov condition and Rüssmann’s non-degeneracy condition, and give the measure estimates of parameters for the non-resonance conditions under Rüssmann’s non-degeneracy condition, which is essential for the proof of our result.     

Determination of generalized quadrangles with distinct elation points

In this paper, we classify the finite generalized quadrangles of order (s,t), s,t > 1, which have a line L of elation points, with the additional property that there is a line M not meeting L for which {L, M} is regular. This is a first fundamental step towards the classification of those generalized quadrangles having a line of elation points. Studies on solution cast perfluorocarbonsulfonic acid ionomers

The thermal properties of perfluorocarbonsulfonic acid ionomer films cast from solution and their temperature-dependent far infrared spectra have been investigated. In addition to the endotherms and spectral changes associated with the loss of solvent as the films were heated, a significant exotherm has been observed and assigned to the relaxation associated with rearrangements resulting in partially crystallized phases in insoluble thermally treated membranes. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Variation of physicochemical properties in the aggregates of structual isomers

The regions of variation of density, enthalpy of formation, and detonation velocity of all of the formally possible structual isomers were determined for several molecular formulas of C,H,N,O-containing explosives. Structure of zinc-borate low-melting glasses derived from IR spectroscopy data

The IR spectra of glasses of the ZnO—SrO—B₂O₃ system with constant additions of PbO, Al₂O₃, and Li₂O (20 mol. % in sum) were studied. It is established that on replacement of B₂O₃ by ZnO, the structure of the glasses is characterized by the presence of groupings with the bridge bonds B^III— O—B^III, B^III—O—B^IV, B^IV—O—B^IV and end groups B^III— O⁻; ZnO practically exerts no influence on the coordination transition [BO₃] → [BO₄]. Self-consistency in non-extensive thermodynamics of highly excited hadronic states

The self-consistency of a thermodynamical theory for hadronic systems based on the non-extensive statistics is investigated. We show that it is possible to obtain a self-consistent theory according to the asymptotic bootstrap principle if the mass spectrum and the energy density increase q-exponentially. A direct consequence is the existence of a limiting effective temperature for the hadronic system. We show that this result is in agreement with experiments.
