Synthesis and refractive‐index control of fluoropolymers by the polyaddition of bis(epoxide)s and triazine di(aryl ether)s

The polyaddition of fluorine‐containing bis(epoxide)s and fluorine‐containing triazine di(aryl ether)s were examined to give the corresponding fluorine‐containing poly(cyanurate)s. It was observed that the synthesized fluoropolymers had good thermal stabilities and good film‐forming properties. The glass transition temperatures (T_g's) and refractive‐indices (n_D's) of synthesized polymers were determined by differential scanning calorimetry and ellipsometry, respectively, and it was found that the values of T_g's and n_D's were supported by their fluorine containing ratios and skeletons. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Structure of norbornene-fused 3,1-oxazine double cycloadducts

Pentacyclic isoxazolines were obtained by the cycloaddition of benzonitrile oxide to norbornene-azetidinone-fused 3,1-oxazines. The constitutions of two of the isomers obtained, and the configurations and conformations of all products, were determined by means of ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy and DNOE experiments.     

Reverse micellar synthesis and properties of nanocrystalline GMR materials (LaMnO3, La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 and La0.67Ca0.33MnO3): Ramifications of size considerations

Nanoparticles of complex manganites (viz. LaMnO₃, La_0.67Sr_0.33MnO₃ and La_0.67Ca{0.33}MnO₃) have been synthesized using the reverse micellar route. These manganites are prepared at 800‡C and the monophasic nature of all the oxides has been established by powder X-ray diffraction studies. TEM studies show an average grain size of 68, 80 and 50 nm for LaMnO₃, La_0.67Sr_0.33MnO₃ and La_0.67Ca{0.33}MnO₃respectively. Ferromagnetic ordering is observed at around 250 K for LaMnO₃, 350 K for La_0.67Sr_0.33MnO₃ and 200 K for La_0.67Ca{0.33}MnO₃. These Curie temperatures correspond well with those reported for bulk materials with similar composition.     

Magnetic properties of lanthanum orthoferrite fine powders prepared by different chemical routes

Fine powders of lanthanum iron oxide, LaFeO₃, have been prepared by solid state reaction as well as sol-gel synthesis and nebulized spray pyrolysis. Structures, morphologies and magnetic susceptibility measurements of these powders have been examined. The powders prepared by all the three low-temperature routes contain nearly spherical particles with an average diameter of 40 nm. These samples show a lower Neel temperature than the powder prepared by solid state reaction besides showing much lower magnetic susceptibility at low temperatures. Application of multiple scattered-wave X_α method with overlapping atomic-sphere to ionization potentials is reported for benzene, pyridine, pyrazine, pyrrole and imidazole. The calculated results show that the orbital charges in the intersphere region are non-negative and the energy levels get improvements in orderings.

Fluorous Synthesis of Biaryl-Substituted Proline Analogs by 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition and Suzuki Coupling Reactions

A solution-phase synthesis of bicyclic prolines containing four points of diversity has been developed by a two-step synthesis involving 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of perfluoroalkylsulfonyl-protected hydroxybenzaldehydes followed by Pd-catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction of fluorous sulfonates with boronic acids. Both reactions are conducted under microwave irradiation and reaction mixtures are purified by solid-phase extractions without performing chromatography.     

煤中有机硫形态结构和热解过程硫变迁特性的研究

利用热解 质谱并结合固定床热解反应装置，对煤中有机硫的形态主其对加氢热解过程 变迁特性的影响，进行了较系统的研究。结果表明，煤中有机硫的形态结构在褐煤中主要以脂肪族、芳香族硫化物为主，而在 煤中则主要以各种不同芳构化程度的噻吩结构为主，初步表明煤中有机硫形态结构随煤变质程度的变迁呈较强的连续递变性。煤热解过程中硫在呼产物中的变迁和分布与煤中有机硫的形态结构特点密切相关。较高芳构化噻吩结构不完全的氧     

Pure Organic Phase Phenol Biosensor Based on Tyrosinase Entrapped in a Vapor Deposited Titania Sol‐Gel Membrane

A novel amperometric biosensor was constructed for the determination of phenols in pure organic phase. This biosensor was fabricated by immobilizing tyrosinase in a titania sol‐gel membrane which was obtained with a vapor deposition method. This method was facile and avoided the calcination step needed in conventional titania sol‐gel process. The titania sol‐gel membrane could effectively retain the essential water layer around the enzyme molecule needed for maintaining its activity in organic phase. The experimental parameters such as solvent and operating potential were optimized. At ?100 mV this biosensor showed a good amperometric response to phenols in pure chloroform without any mediator and rehydration of the enzyme. For catechol determination the sensor exhibited a fast response of less than 5 seconds. The sensitivity of different phenols was as follows: catechol > phenol > p‐cresol. Additionally, the apparent Michaelis‐Menten constants of the encapsulated tyrosinase to catechol, phenol and p‐cresol were found to be 0.15±0.003, 0.17±0.008 and 0.21±0.004 mM, respectively. The biosensor had also good reproducibility and stability. This work provided a promising platform for the construction of pure organic phase biosensors and the determination of substrates with poor water solubility.     

Dialkylamino- and alkoxytrialkylstannanes as reagents for synthesis of organoboryl (trialkylsilyl) ketenes

Dialkylamino- and alkoxytrialkylstannanes have been studied as N- and O-nucleophilic reagents in substitution reactions at the B-Br bond. The previously unknown bis(dialkylamino)- and dialkoxyboryl trialkylsilyl ketenes were synthesized.
