Considering the important damage caused by the reactive oxygen (ROS) and nitrogen (RNS) species in the human organism, the need for new therapeutic agents, with superior efficacy to the known natural and synthetic antioxidants, is crucial. Quinazolin-4-ones are known for their wide range of biological activities, and phenolic compounds display an important antioxidant effect. Linking the two active pharmacophores may lead to an increase of the antioxidant activity. Therefore, we synthesized four series of new hybrid molecules bearing the quinazolin-4-one and phenol scaffolds. Their antioxidant potential was evaluated in vitro, considering different possible mechanisms of action: hydrogen atom transfer, ability to donate electrons and metal ions chelation. Theoretical quantum and thermodynamical calculations were also performed. Some compounds, especially the ortho diphenolic ones, exerted a stronger antioxidant effect than ascorbic acid and Trolox.  相似文献

The protonation of the electrochemically generated (0.1 M solution of tetrabutylammonium perchlorate in DMF) 1,3-dinitrobenzene (1) dianions with phenol, ethanol, tert-butanol, and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium cation was studied by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry at the carbositall working electrode. The rate constants for the protonation (k) of the dianion of compound 1 by phenol, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium cation, ethanol, and tert-butanol were estimated by the comparison of the data of cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry with the digital simulation results, being 100, 50, 1.5, and 0.01 L mol−1 s−1, respectively. The similarly obtained k value for the protonation of the dianion of 1,4-dinitrobenzene (2) with phenol is 13 L mol−1 s−1. According to the quantum chemical calculation results, the protonation of the dianions of compounds 1 and 2 with phenol and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium cation can be classified as orbital-controlled reactions. A recent controversy regarding the proper assignment of two closely spaced bands in the S1 ← S0 electronic transition of trans-p-coumaric acid (pCA) has been addressed by recording their spectra at full rotational resolution. The results show unambiguously that the carrier of these two bands is p-vinylphenol (pVP), a thermal decomposition product of pCA. The two bands belong to two conformers of pVP; trans-pVP at 33,207.3 cm−1 and cis-pVP at 33,211.8 cm−1.  相似文献

An amide-linked 2,6-bis{[(2-hydroxy-5-tert-butylbenzyl)(pyridyl-2-methyl)-amino]-methyl}-4-methylphenol-ruthenium(II) tris(bipyridine) 2PF6 complex, 1, was first used to recognize Co(II) in EtOH/H2O (1:1, v/v) solution, with the ruthenium(II) tris(bipyridine) moiety selected as a fluorophore and the multi-substituted phenol unit chosen as a receptor. The fluorescence quenching of 1 was attributed to the formation of an inclusion complex between multi-substituted phenol unit and Co(II) by 1:1 complex ratio (K = 2.5 × 105), which has been utilized as the basis of the fabrication of the Co(II)-sensitive fluorescent chemosensor. The analytical performance characteristics of the proposed Co(II)-sensitive chemosensor were investigated. The sensor can be applied to the quantification of Co(II) with a linear range covering from 1.0 × 10−7 to 5.0 × 10−5 M and a detection limit of 5 × 10−8 M. The experiment results show that the response behavior of 1 to Co(II) is pH-independent in medium condition (pH 4.5–9.5) and show excellent selectivity for Co(II) over transition metal cations except Cu(II). The chemosensor has been used for determination of Co(II) in water samples.  相似文献

Abstract

Lewis acid ZnCl2 promoted cyclization protocol to 4H-chromenes is accomplished, using readily available phenols and acetophenones as starting materials. Interestingly, the process is feasible under the solvent free environment. Synthesis of a variety of 4H-chromenes have been accomplished using this strategy. In addition, this concept is extended to the synthesis of ortho-benzylphenols by treating phenols either with styrenes or secondary benzylic alcohols.  相似文献

运用差分光谱吸收(DOAS)技术,于2010年11月至2011年3月对上海市宝山工业区大气中的苯系物进行了连续的观测.观测结果发现,当地环境空气中甲苯和苯酚的浓度较高,均值分别为(67.2±7.1)μg/m3和(1.8±0.3)μg/m3,二者的相关系数为0.69,说明其具有相近的源;现发现苯酚的浓度显著偏高于交通源观测结果,表明其源更为复杂.对苯系物浓度数据的统计分析显示:极大值多出现在晚间(18:00~24:00)并具有较强的瞬时特征,与工业点源排放有关.甲苯和苯酚均呈现双峰态的日变化规律,峰值出现在8:00及20:00左右,且工作日浓度高于周末.结合与硫氧化物及氮氧化物的相关性分析发现:当地的苯系物浓度与工业排放、机动车尾气贡献、污染物扩散条件以及光化学反应过程有不同程度的相关性.  相似文献

The adsorption ability of Lewatit S5528 (S5528) resin for C.I. Acid Green 16 (AG16), heavy metals (Zn(II), Cu(II) and Ni(II)) and phenol removal from single-component aqueous solutions is presented in this study to assess its suitability for wastewater treatment. Kinetic and equilibrium studies were carried out in order to determine adsorption capacities, taking into account phase contact time, adsorbates’ initial concentration, and auxiliary presence (NaCl, Na2SO4, anionic (SDS) and non-ionic (Triton X100) surfactants). The pseudo-second-order kinetic model described experimental data better than pseudo-first-order or intraparticle diffusion models. The adsorption of AG16 (538 mg/g), phenol (14.5 mg/g) and Cu(II) (5.8 mg/g) followed the Langmuir isotherm equation, while the uptake of Zn(II) (0.179 mg1−1/nL1/n/g) and Ni(II) (0.048 mg1−1/nL1/n/g) was better described by the Freundlich model. The auxiliary’s presence significantly reduced AG16 removal efficiency, whereas in the case of heavy metals the changes were negligible. The column studies proved the good adsorption ability of Lewatit S5528 towards AG16 and Zn(II). The desorption was the most effective for AG16 (>90% of dye was eluted using 1 mol/L HCl + 50% v/v MeOH and 1 mol/L NaCl + 50% v/v MeOH solutions).  相似文献

The vapor-phase catalytic alkylation of phenol with methanol and dimethyl carbonate on a series of differently prepared CrPO4 (Cr/P=1) and CrPO4-AlPO4 (CrAIP) catalysts, has been studied at different temperatures (473–673 K). The reaction is first order in phenol, giving a mixture of O- and C-alkylated products (C-alkylation taking place preferentially at theortho-position). Moreover, dimethyl carbonate is a better methylating agent than methanol.  相似文献

A wood adhesive-type phenol–formaldehyde (PF) resol resin synthesized with a typical formaldehyde to phenol mol ratio of 2.10 was thoroughly cured and studied by the solid-state crosspolarization/magic angle spinning 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (CP/MAS NMR) spectroscopy. The methylene group/phenol mol ratio values found were between 1.35 and 1.46, close to the value of a completely cured PF polymer structure. The amount of formaldehyde emitted during resin curing was very small. Other formaldehyde-derived groups determined from CP/MAS NMR spectra and relatively high levels of oxidation products of formaldehyde determined from water extracts of cured resin raised the total formaldehyde-derived groups/phenol mol ratio value to close to that of the synthesis mol ratio.
