二语学习者在交际过程中体现的概念流利的缺乏和多样性的缺乏分别由Danesi和文秋芳提出,对两者的解释都超出了语言范畴本身.本文基于概念隐喻和语法隐喻相关理论对这两种现象进行分析,认为当代隐喻理论的发展为这两种现象的解决提供了可能性,而且多样性的缺乏是概念流利缺乏的表现形式之一.

We consider the varieties of lattice ordered groups with the identity of commutation of the nth powers of elements. We establish that every such l-variety with n=pq, where p and q are distinct prime numbers, has a finite basis of identities.

Multiscale variety in complex systems

The Law of Requisite Variety is a mathematical theorem relating the number of control states of a system to the number of variations in control that is necessary for effective response. The Law of Requisite Variety does not consider the components of a system and how they must act together to respond effectively. Here we consider the additional requirement of scale of response and the effect of coordinated versus uncoordinated response as a key attribute of complex systems. The components of a system perform a task, with a number of such components needed to act in concert to perform subtasks. We apply the resulting generalization—a Multiscale Law of Requisite Variety—to understanding effective function of complex biological and social systems. This allows us to formalize an understanding of the limitations of hierarchical control structures and the inadequacy of central control and planning in the solution of many complex social problems and the functioning of complex social organizations, e.g., the military, healthcare, and education systems. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The glutelin fraction was used as the food value index of local corn. The base-soluble fraction was used as a test of the glassiness of local strains of rice grain. The content of gliadins and glutelins did not change over 24 h after wheat grain cultivated in Uzbekistan was moistened.

Matrix Lax Polynomials, Geometry of Prym Varieties and Systems of Hess–Appel’rot Type

We consider a four-dimensional generalization of Hess–Appel’rot system and costruct its Lax pair. Both classical and algebro-geometric integration procedure are proceeded. The algebro-geometric integration is based on deep facts from geometry of Prym varieties such as the Mumford relation and Mumford-Dalalyan theory. The integration is similar to the integration of Lagrange bitop which has recetly been performed by the authors.
