A class of polynomial variable metric algorithms for linear optimization

In the paper, the behaviour of interior point algorithms is analyzed by using a variable metric method approach. A class of polynomial variable metric algorithms is given achieving O ((n/β)L) iterations for solving a canonical form linear optimization problem with respect to a wide class of Riemannian metrics, wheren is the number of dimensions and β a fixed value. It is shown that the vector fields of several interior point algorithms for linear optimization is the negative Riemannian gradient vector field of a linear a potential or a logarithmic barrier function for suitable Riemannian metrics. A hybrid-Trefftz element containing an elliptic hole

Much work on special elements that simplify geometrical modelling of structures containing holes, cracks and/ or inclusions has been reported extensively in the literature. This paper presents a hybrid-Trefftz element containing elliptic hole formulated using Hellinger–Reissner principle by employing trial functions based on the mapping technique and the Cauchy integral method. The element presented in this paper could be regarded as an improved formulation over Piltner [Special finite elements with holes and internal cracks, Int. J. Numer. Methods Eng. 21 (1985) 1471–1485] element because the chosen trail functions in this paper have provided relatively more stable solutions. The use of the element with other ordinary displacement-based finite elements has also yielded very accurate solutions even when very coarse meshes relative to the size of the elliptic hole have been used.

本文根据成本性态法的思路．分析了影响可比产品成本降低额和降低率变动的因素，重点从理论上论证了产品品种结构的影响，并且合理地把单纯产量和品种结构对可比产品成本降低额（率）的影响分离开来．     

轮式分页输纸中的摩擦问题

本文着重研究了输纸轮与纸面间以及纸与纸间的静、动摩擦特性。分析了分页输纸的力学条件,并通过各种结构输纸胶轮和国产纸张的实验证明了正压力与摩擦系数之间存在着非线性关系。得出了一系列曲线。指出:利用非线性摩擦特性是分页输纸的理论基础,为设计简单的张簧式给纸盒提供了科学依据。经“OA”设备的OCR和OMR使用证明分页输纸稳定可靠。     

Adducts of Rh2[MTPA]4 with some phosphine chalcogenides: nature of binding and ligand exchange

Adducts of four phosphine chalcogenides with the chiral dirhodium complex ([Rh-Rh]) were investigated by variable-temperature 1H and 31P NMR spectroscopy in order to compare their properties as axial ligands. Whereas the selenide (1) and the sulfide (2) are strong ligands with electrostatic attraction and, in addition, a significant orbital (HOMO-LUMO) interaction, the phosphine oxide compounds (P=O) bind primarily via electrostatic attraction and are relatively weak donors. Moreover, the overall bond strength in these adducts depends on steric congestion around the P=O group.     

Selective alterations of the antibody response to HIV-1

HIV infection leads to progressive alterations of humoral immune functions, including B-cell hyperplasia, hypergammaglobulinemia, elevated autoantibody titers, a poor response to neoantigens and mitogens, polyclonal B-cell activation, monoclonal gammopathies, and a significant deterioration of the antigen-specific humoral response. There is also an important isotypic imbalance of the antibody (Ab) response in the systemic compartment and a profound modification of mucosal immune functions. These abnormalities may contribute to disease progression and development of opportunistic infections, despite the presence of serum-neutralizing anti-HIV Abs. Equally important are the abnormal selection mechanisms of the Ab repertoire that seem to be responsible for B-cell clonal deletions. The V_H3 gene family, which encodes for approx 50% of immunoglobulins expressed by peripheral B-cells from normal adults, is underrepresented in human monoclonal antibodies to HIV-1 and in the peripheral B-cells of AIDS patients. These abnormalities, together with features of germinal center alteration, could be responsible for the clonal elimination of a subset of B-cells, and could contribute to HIV pathogenesis.     

Synthesis and Stereochemistry of New Bis(1,3-Oxathian-2-yl) Derivatives: Epimerisation and Chair–Twist Equilibria

The synthesis and stereochemistry of some new bis(1,3-oxathian-2-yl) derivatives are reported. The conformational behavior of these compounds and the orientation of their substituents are deduced from the NMR spectra, from the X-ray crystal structures of two compounds and from the ab-initio level calculations. The epimerization of diastereoisomers and the chair ⇌ 22,5-twist equilibria were studied by variable temperature NMR.
