An Empirical Study on Augmented Virtuality Space for Tele-Inspection of Built Environments

This paper describes an empirical study on an augmented virtuality (AV)-based system dedicated for tele-inspection of built environments. This system is regarded as a solution that allows users to experience the real remote built environment without the need of physically stepping into that actual place. Such experience is realized by using AV technology to enrich the virtual counterparts of the place with captured real images from the real space. Those integrated into the AV environment are real photos that represent key landmarks/features of the real place, live video streams of on-site crew, and 3D virtual design geome-tries. The focus of this paper is the implementation and evaluation of the AV system in its current state as compared with traditional photo-based methods. Results from this preliminary empirical study show that the AV system achieves good overall satisfaction, although it involves certain general usability issues.

基于ISM的工程装备质量评价体系构建方法

针对工程装备质量影响因素的特殊性及其评价的复杂与不确定性,提出了一种基于系统工程中解释结构模型ISM（interpretative structural modeling）的质量评价体系构建方法.在确定工程装备质量影响因素逻辑关系的基础上,求解系统可达矩阵,构建多层递阶的质量评价体系解释结构模型.应用该ISM,解释了评价体系的神经支撑结构、因素支撑影响图等.基于该模型的分析与应用,质量评价的立足点在于“作战可用度”,骨干支撑因素包括作业能力、经济性、信息化水平等,其评价直接支撑“后继研发性”,体现了装备发展与质量提高的研发策略.     

Data Mining Ontology Development for High User Usability

This paper mainly introduces the development and implementation of the user centered data mining service ontology on Universal Knowledge Grid （UKG）. UKG is an ontology-based grid architecture model to build large-scale distributed knowledge discovery system on the grid. The data mining ontology services are the main service offering by UKG. It can meet the user requirements of knowledge discovery in different domains and different hierarchies and make the system exoteric, extensible and high usable. A data min- ing solution for money laundering is introduced.     

基于眼动追踪技术的网络地图交互功能分析

为了探究更符合大众需求的网络地图交互功能,利用眼动追踪技术对中国流行的4款网络地图的交互功能可用性进行研究。结合眼动录像和眼动指标,测试用户在执行网络地图的典型任务时的认知差异。对网络地图的功能识别、地理信息查询、路线规划和周边服务查询等交互功能进行分析。结果表明:(1)工具的设计以文字和抽象符号相结合的方式表示更容易引起用户注意;(2)提高网络地图显示区域在界面布局中所占的比重,对交互效率的提升具有重要影响;(3)4款网络地图的周边查询功能设计不明显,易被用户忽略。这些研究结果可以给网络地图设计者改善交互功能提供一定的参考。
