A third‐order implicit discontinuous Galerkin method based on a Hermite WENO reconstruction for time‐accurate solution of the compressible Navier–Stokes equations 下载免费PDF全文
A space and time third‐order discontinuous Galerkin method based on a Hermite weighted essentially non‐oscillatory reconstruction is presented for the unsteady compressible Euler and Navier–Stokes equations. At each time step, a lower‐upper symmetric Gauss–Seidel preconditioned generalized minimal residual solver is used to solve the systems of linear equations arising from an explicit first stage, single diagonal coefficient, diagonally implicit Runge–Kutta time integration scheme. The performance of the developed method is assessed through a variety of unsteady flow problems. Numerical results indicate that this method is able to deliver the designed third‐order accuracy of convergence in both space and time, while requiring remarkably less storage than the standard third‐order discontinous Galerkin methods, and less computing time than the lower‐order discontinous Galerkin methods to achieve the same level of temporal accuracy for computing unsteady flow problems. The unsteady adjoint method used in gradient-based optimization in 2D and, particularly, 3D industrial problems modeled by unsteady PDEs may have significant storage requirements and/or computational cost. The reason for this is that the backward in time integration of the adjoint equations requires the previously computed instantaneous flow fields to be available at each time-step. This article proposes remedies to this problem, by extending/upgrading relevant techniques proposed by the group of authors as well as other researchers. Their applicability is wide, even if these remedies are herein demonstrated in shape optimization problems in unsteady fluid mechanics. Check-pointing is in widespread use as it reduces the memory footprint and CPU cost of the optimization with a controllable computational overhead. Alternatively, flow field time-series can be stored in a lossless or lossly compressed form. The novelty of this article is the development of a Compressed Coarse-grained Check-Pointing strategy for second-order accurate schemes in time, by optimally combining check-pointing and lossy compression. The latter includes (a) the incremental Proper Generalized Decomposition (iPGD) algorithm and (b) a hybridization of the iPGD with the ZFP and Zlib algorithms. This is implemented within OpenFOAM, which is used to solve the flow and adjoint equations and conduct the optimization, and assessed in 2D/3D aerodynamic shape optimization problems on unstructured grids. Effectiveness in data reduction, computational cost, and reconstruction accuracy are compared, vis-à-vis also to the “standard” binomial check-pointing technique after adjusting it to second-order accurate schemes in time. 相似文献

可变体飞行器变后掠过程中的时变气动力与力矩特性对于飞行安全具有重要意义,是亟待深入研究的基础问题.通过风洞实验对其开展了研究,揭示了可变体飞行器变后掠引起的气动特性动态迟滞现象及滞回环大小与方向的影响因素.基于风洞实验结果和力学中一些重要概念,提出了3种物理效应:流场迟滞效应、附加运动效应、固壁牵连效应,以此定性与定量论证了可变体飞行器变后掠过程中非定常气动特性的形成机理.除了能解释实验现象,这一机理研究亦可用于后续可变体飞行器变后掠过程中的气动特性建模. 相似文献

综合运用摩擦润滑理论、流体力学理论、轧制理论,建立了考虑动态辊缝非稳态润滑过程多因素耦合轧制界面力学模型.该模型综合运用了基于非稳态润滑过程的界面摩擦模型、工作辊运动模型、辊缝应力分布模型构成的界面薄膜约束多因素耦合模型.系统分析了非稳态混合润滑状态下,当压下率和表面粗糙度为定值时不同时刻工作区压应力和摩擦应力的分布情况,以及压下率为定值时工作区压应力、摩擦应力随表面粗糙度和后张应力变化的情况.结果表明:在压下率和表面粗糙度为定值时,当具有较大的后张应力时,工作区压应力和摩擦应力却较低,同时压应力梯度和摩擦应力梯度也相当小,摩擦应力在入口和出口边缘处达到最大,当后张应力减小时,辊缝间压应力和摩擦应力增加,压应力梯度和摩擦应力梯度较大;在压下率为定值而表面粗糙度为变量时,当后张应力较大时,表面粗糙度对工作区中的压应力和摩擦应力影响非常大,辊缝间压应力和摩擦应力随着表面粗糙度的增加而增加,当后张应力较小时,表面粗糙度对工作区中的压应力和摩擦应力影响不太明显. 相似文献

This paper outlines the development and adaptation of a coupling strategy for transient temperature analysis in a solid via a conjugate heat transfer method. This study proposes a quasi‐dynamic coupling procedure to bridge the temporal disparities between the fluid and the solid. In this approach, dynamic thermal modeling in the solid is coupled with a sequence of steady states in the fluid. This quasi‐dynamic algorithm has been applied to the problem of convective heat transfer over, and transient conduction heat transfer within, a flat plate using the severe thermal conditions of a solid propellant rocket. Two different coupled thermal computations have been performed. In the first one—referred to as the reference computation—the coupling period is equal to the smallest solid time constant. In the second one, a very large coupling period is used. The results show that the procedure can predict accurate transient temperature fields at a reasonable computational cost. The simulation CPU time is approximately reduced by up to 90%, while maintaining a very good accuracy. All the details of the numerical test case are given in the paper. This application illustrates the capabilities and the overall efficiency of this coupled approach in a solid transient problem using long term simulations of time dependent flows. A mass-matrix formulation of the fluctuation splitting schemes for solving compressible, unsteady flows is proposed. This formulation is consistent with the conservative linearisation based on parameter vector and allows to extend to unsteady flows the ‘invariance under similarity transformations’ property that had been shown to hold for the steady version of the schemes. Second-order time accuracy is achieved using a Petrov–Galerkin finite element interpretation of the fluctuation splitting schemes. The approach may however be readily applicable to all other time-accurate fluctuation splitting formulations that have been so far proposed in the literature. 本文对动静叶栅分别进行优化改型,并对改型前后叶栅的气动性能进行数值分析。动静叶栅的优化改型基于正反问题相结合的流函数方法,性能分析一方面基于单排叶栅定常粘性流动的数值计算,另一方面基于动静叶栅相互干扰非定常粘性流动的数值计算。算例结果表明,经过优化改型后的动静叶栅的气动性能,无论在定常流动条件下还是在非定常流动条件下,相比改型前均有较大幅度的改善。 相似文献
