Dissipative operators and additive perturbations in locally convex spaces

Let be a densely defined operator on a Banach space X. Characterizations of when generates a C₀‐semigroup on X are known. The famous result of Lumer and Phillips states that it is so if and only if is dissipative and is dense in X for some . There exists also a rich amount of Banach space results concerning perturbations of dissipative operators. In a recent paper Tyran–Kamińska provides perturbation criteria of dissipative operators in terms of ergodic properties. These results, and others, are shown to remain valid in the setting of general non–normable locally convex spaces. Applications of the results to concrete examples of operators on function spaces are also presented.     

Stability and convergence of modified Ishikawa iterative sequences with errors in Banach spaces

Summary Some stability and convergence theorems of the modified Ishikawa iterative sequences with errors for asymptotically nonexpansive mapping in the intermediate sense and asymptotically pseudo contractive and uniformly Lipschitzian mappings in Banach spaces are obtained.

研究了一类不确定时变时滞系统的鲁棒自适应稳定控制问题.系统包含多变时滞非线性扰动.基于Lyapunov稳定性理论和Lyapunov-K rasovsk ii型泛函设计出了一种无记忆的自适应状态反馈控制器,并证明了满足一定条件时,此控制器使得闭环系统最终一致有界.

The only condition that μ must satisfy is μ(Q) ≤ col(Q)n for any cube Q () Rd with sides parallel to the coordinate axes and for some fixed n with 0 ＜ n ≤ d. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a boundedness property of fractional integrals in Hardy spaces H1 (μ).     

Behavior of concrete cylinders confined by a carbon composite 3. Deformability and the ultimate axial strain

Results of an experimental investigation into the mechanical properties of concrete cylinders confined by a carbon-epoxy composite wrapping are presented. It is shown that, for all the con fined con crete spec i mens tested, the loading paths in the normalized stress space follow a single master curve, what ever the concrete strength and confinement intensity. At stresses in the confined concrete exceeding the strength of plain concrete, the tangent modulus was found to depend on the slope angle of the master curve and the asymptotic value of the differential Poisson ratio (the first derivative of the lateral strain with respect to the axial one). Formulas for predicting the ultimate axial strain and the tangent modulus are derived and compared with the corresponding fib (fédération internationale du béton) recommendations. MULTILINEAR CALDER(O)N-ZYGMUND OPERATOR ON MORREY TYPE SPACES——In Memory of Professor Yongsheng Sun

In this paper, the authors study the boundedness of a class of multi-sublinear operators on the product of Morrey, Herz-Morrey and generalized Morrey spaces, respectively. As their special cases, the corresponding results of multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operator can be obtained.     

Synchronization of coupled chaotic FitzHugh-Nagumo systems

This paper addresses dynamic synchronization of two FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) systems coupled with gap junctions. All the states of the coupled chaotic system, treating either as single-input or two-input control system, are synchronized by stabilizing their error dynamics, using simplest and locally robust control laws. The local asymptotic stability, chosen by utilizing the local Lipschitz nonlinear property of the model to address additionally the non-failure of the achieved synchronization, is ensured by formulating the matrix inequalities on the basis of Lyapunov stability theory. In the presence of disturbances, it ensures the local uniform ultimate boundedness. Furthermore, the robustness of the proposed methods is ensured against bounded disturbances besides providing the upper bound on disturbances. To the best of our knowledge, this is the computationally simplest solution for synchronization of coupled FHN modeled systems along with unique advantages of less conservative local asymptotic stability of synchronization errors with robustness. Numerical simulations are carried out to successfully validate the proposed control strategies.     

Ultimate boundedness and an attractor for stochastic Hopfield neural networks with time-varying delays

This paper investigates ultimate boundedness and a weak attractor for stochastic Hopfield neural networks (HNN) with time-varying delays. By employing the Lyapunov method and the matrix technique, some novel results and criteria on ultimate boundedness and an attractor for stochastic HNN with time-varying delays are derived. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the correctness and effectiveness of our theoretical results.     

Solution Estimates for Nonlinear Nonautonomous Evolution Equations in Spaces with Normalizing Mappings

Nonlinear nonautonomous evolution equations in a space with a normalizing mapping (a generalized norm) are considered. Solution estimates are established. In particular cases these estimates generalize the Wazewski and Lozinskii estimates from the theory of ordinary differential equations. By the obtained estimates, the following problems are investigated: asymptotic stability, boundedness of solutions, input-output stability, existence of periodic solutions. Applications to integro-differential equations are discussed.
