On the average complexity of 3D-Voronoi diagrams of random points on convex polytopes

It is well known that the complexity, i.e. the number of vertices, edges and faces, of the 3-dimensional Voronoi diagram of n points can be as bad as Θ(n²). It is also known that if the points are chosen Independently Identically Distributed uniformly from a 3-dimensional region such as a cube or sphere, then the expected complexity falls to O(n). In this paper we introduce the problem of analyzing what occurs if the points are chosen from a 2-dimensional region in 3-dimensional space. As an example, we examine the situation when the points are drawn from a Poisson distribution with rate n on the surface of a convex polytope. We prove that, in this case, the expected complexity of the resulting Voronoi diagram is O(n).     

Banach空间上有界可逆线性变换逆变换的结构

Fillmore在[1]中得到一个定理:设A,T是Banach空间X上的线性变换,A有界,若Lat(A) Lat(T)且AT=TA,则T是A的多项式.在本文里,以此作为引理,讨论了Banach空间上可逆线性变换A在什么情况下,A-1可表示为A的多项式.本文最主要的结论是定理3.4:设X是Banach空间,A是X上的有界线性变换,且可逆,则A-1是A的多项式当且仅当A-1是A的局部多项式.     

广义Sierpinski集

本文考察了包括平面上的各种广义 Cantor集 ,Sierpinski集和包括某些连续不可微曲线在内的广义 Sierpinski集 .由相似变换 ,导出了它们的级数表达式 ,并利用它和字符串空间的对应关系 ,计算出它们的Hausdorff维数     

Resistivity－temperature characteristics of sol gel YBa2Cu3Oy samples synthesized in flowing oxygen atmosphere

The relationship of resistivity versus synthesizing temperature of sol gel YBa_2Cu_3O_y samples was studied when prepared under flowing oxygen conditions. A set of high-temperature ρ－T curves was obtained for the whole process. After the sample finished the test measuring, its resistivity was ρ_{300}=9.83×10^{-3 }Ω·cm at room temperature. The ρ－T curve also showed that the orthorhombic－tetragonal phase transformation of sol-gel YBa_2Cu_3O_y sample occurred at 581℃ for the sample in the rising temperature process, but at 613℃ in the cooling process, lower than that of the samples made by using the conventional powder metallurgy methods.

There are infinitely many limit points of the fractional parts of powers

Suppose that α > 1 is an algebraic number and ξ > 0 is a real number. We prove that the sequence of fractional partsξα ⁿ , n = 1, 2, 3, …, has infinitely many limit points except when α is a PV-number and ξ ∈ ℚ(α). For ξ = 1 and α being a rational non-integer number, this result was proved by Vijayaraghavan.     

Banach空间非线性混合型微分-积分方程整体解的存在性和唯一解

研究了Banach空间中非线性混合型微分-积分方程初值问题u′=f(t,u,Tu,Su),u(0)=x0的整体解,完全没有要求f的任何增性,利用Mnch不动点定理和比较结果得到了初值问题整体解的存在性和唯一解,并且给出了一致收敛于唯一解的迭代序列,改进推广和统一了已有的许多结果.     

The Isoelectric Point and the Points of Zero Charge of Fe-Al-Mg Hydrotalcite-like Compounds

The relation of the isoelectric point (IEP) and the point of zero net charge (PZNC) of the hydrotalcite-like compounds was discussed. It was found that the IEP does not equal to the PZNC and the IEP is higher than the PZNC. The structural positive charges existing in the HTlc,which cause the difference between the IEP and the PZNC. The effects of the structural positive charges of the HTlc on its IEP and PZNC are the same as the specific adsorption of metal cations.     

Talagrand''''s T_2-transportation Inequality w.r.t.a Uniform Metric for Diffusions

Using the method of Girsanov transformation,we establish the Talagrand's T_2-inequality for dif-fusion on the path space C([0,N],R~d) with respect to a uniform metric,with the constant independent of N.This improves the known results for the L~2-metric.
