One-phase supported titanium-based catalysts for polymerization of ethylene. III. ESR spectra of the ternary system Sio2—R3Al—TiCl4

The ternary catalyst systems based on activated silica, aluminum alkyl, and titanium tetrachloride were polymerized in an ethylene gas-phase polymerization process, and further studied using ESR spectroscopy. Two types of titanium (III) ESR-active centers were observed and a linear dependence between the concentration of that characterized by a rhombic anisotropic signal with g₁ = 1.962, g₂ = 1.945, and g₃ = 1.913 values and catalyst productivity was found. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.     

[2,4—CH3）2C5H5]2TiCO的合成及结构

合成了开环夹心羰基化合物[2,4-(CH_3)_2C_5H_5]_2GCO,得到了该分子的单晶结构,[2,4-(CH_3)_2C_5H_5]_2TiCO晶体属于正交晶系,P2_12_12_1空间群,晶胞参数a=1.0078(5)nm,b=1.1909(8)nm,c=1.1946(5)nm,b=1.4337(13)nm~3,Z=4,R=0.054。单晶结构表明该分子为平行覆盖型开环夹心化合物,用EHMO方法计算了[2,4-(CH_3)_2C_5H_6]_2TICO的电子结构。     

Influence of Gas Atmosphere on Removal of Sulphate Groups From Titanium Oxide

The studies were devoted to determination of the effect of gas atmosphere and its pressure on the second step of decomposition of hydrated titanium dioxide (HTD) promoted by sulfate groups. It has been found that thermal decomposition of HTD at temperatures above 300°C consists of a number of processes such as dehydroxylation, desulfuration, recrystallization and sintering of solid grains, photochemical processes (if the decomposition proceeds in the presence of light) and adsorption of gas phase components (in the presence of air or SO₂). Kinetic parameters characterizing this step of decomposition have been determined for processes carried out in vacuum and in argon or air atmospheres (at a pressure of 13.33hPa). The kinetic curves of decomposition carried out in the presence of gases capable of being adsorbed on the surface of partly dehydrated HTD are featured by local extrema due to simultaneous processes of decomposition and adsorption of gas components. A concise route to the right wing of ciguatoxin

A concise route to the HIJKLM-ring fragment 10 of ciguatoxin (CTX) and 51-hydroxyCTX3C was developed in which oxiranyl anion addition and intramolecular carbonyl olefination were utilized as key transformations. The present procedure requires only 23 steps from the I-ring 5, while 35 steps were employed in a previous synthesis of the corresponding right wing 11 of CTX3C. The high efficiency of the present synthesis ensures a supply of 10 for total synthesis and biomedical applications.

Nitriding of titanium with plasma jet under reduced pressure

The nitriding of titanium with argon-nitrogen (3%) and argon-nitrogen (3%)-hydrogen (2%) plasma jets at pressures of 190 torr was studied. The reaction kinetics obeyed mainly a parabolic law. The parabolic kinetic constants were 10^–10–10^–8 g² cm^–4 s^–1, which were 2–3 orders of magnitude larger than those in R.F. discharges. From emission spectroscopy, nitrogen atoms in the excited states were observed. The nitrogen atoms can promote the nitriding reaction. The effect of the addition of hydrogen to nitrogen is also briefly discussed.     

Preparation and properties of SiO2-TiO2 thin films from silicic acid and titanium tetrachloride

The preparation of SiO₂-TiO₂ thin films by the sol-gel method using silicic acid and titanium tetrachloride as starting materials was studied. The homogeneous sols were obtained by the condensation reaction of silicic acid with titanium tetrachloride in methanol-tetrahydrofuran. The dipcoating of slide glasses and silicon wafers followed by heat treatment gave oxide thin films of 88–93% transmittance, 3000–4500 Å thickness, and 1.45–1.80 refractive index, depending on heat-treatment temperature and TiO₂ content. FT-IR measurement showed that the Si-O-Ti bond is formed even in the sol and films. The variations of film thickness and refractive index on transformation from the gels into the oxides were found to be quite low.     

B2O3/TiO2-ZrO2催化环己酮肟气相Beckmann重排反应研究 Ⅰ.B2O3含量的影响

 制备了不同B2O3含量（0～20％）的B2O3／TiO2－ZrO2固体酸催\r\n化剂，用XRD，FT－IR，N2吸附及NH3－TPD等方法测定了其结构、比表\r\n面积、孔分布和表面酸性．结果表明，当B2O3含量较低（≤5％）时，\r\n催化剂呈无定形态，样品中的B2O3主要以BO4结构存在．当B2O3含量较\r\n高（≥8％）时，催化剂中的TiO2－ZrO2以ZrTiO4晶相存在，分散于Ti\r\nO2－ZrO2表面的B2O3主要以玻璃体形式和BO3结构存在．随着B2O3含量\r\n的增加，催化剂的比表面积减小，孔径增大．300℃下的环己酮肟气相\r\nBeck－mann重排反应结果表明，随着B2O3含量的增加，己内酰胺的选择\r\n性逐渐增大，而己内酰胺的收率在B2O3含量为12％时达到最大值．讨论\r\n了B2O3／TiO2－ZrO2的催化性能与其表面酸性及孔径大小的关系．     

A novel arylation of arylacetic acid esters using tertiary arylamines and TiCl4

The reactions of arylacetic acid esters with tertiary arylamines in the presence of TiCl₄ give α-arylated products in 65-90% yields, as well as 10-20% yields of the corresponding benzidines.
