Below, we briefly report on the progress in the development of the Filter Diagonalization technique when filtering is carried out with the aid of Finite Fourier Transform (FFT) eigenfunctions. During recent years interest in these functions, also known as ‘prolates’, or ‘slepians’, has increased among scientists doing research in the field of signal processing. The main explanation to this follows from the set of very special extremal and orthogonality properties exibited by the FFT eigenfunctions. Recent results of Walter and Shen on sampling with prolate spheroidal functions will necessary produce a new wave of interest. In the presented, Filter diagonalization machinery, we show that the sampling formula of Walter and Shen simplifies essentially the computation of matrix elements as certain 2D–integrals involving FFT eigenfunctions. 相似文献

A new technique of searching the conformational space of transition states was used to explore the cause of the rate acceleration in the gem-dialkyl effect in intramolecular cyclization reactions. Several previous hypotheses were discarded and a new hypothesis was advanced based on this new data. Hartree-Fock-Roothaan method with the use of the standard 3–21G and 6–31G basis set. The potential curve of the internal rotation
about the peroxide bond of PAN was calculated with the 6–31G basis set. The curve contains two maxima. The ground state of
PAN is characterized by a structure in which groups of atoms adjacent to the peroxide bond lie in planes that are perpendicular
to each other (the dihedral angle ϱ(COON) is 89.9°). The calculated barriers to rotation are 19.6 and 66.8 kJ mol−1.

Suitable analytical methodologies were developed allowing direct determination of As, Cu, Fe, Pb, Sb and Sn in alcohol fuel samples by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. Different chemical modification approaches were tested and compared in terms of analytical performance and in practical terms. Experimental conditions were optimized allowing little sample dilution and use of calibration curves prepared with aqueous inorganic analyte standards. Methodologies were tested with analyte spiked alcohol samples. Good analyte recoveries from spiked alcohol samples, precision better than 10% and limits of detection in the sub μg l−1 range were achieved. 相似文献

The SHg3 fragments are linked through Hg vertices to form corrugated [Hg12S8] layers.
