Structural features of human tooth tissues affected by high dose of external ionizing radiation after nuclear catastrophe of Chernobyl plant

The application of micro-Raman spectroscopy is discussed for the analysis of structural features of human tooth tissues affected by high doses of external ionizing radiation (0.5–1.7 Gy) after the nuclear plant catastrophe in Chernobyl in 1986. The results have shown significant changes in the mineral matrix of dental enamel that lead to the decrease of tooth enamel hardness. Destruction of the collagen chain of the organic matrix has been observed for dentin and cementum.

Bestimmung von Verunreinigungen in Silizium mit Hilfe der Aktivierungsanalyse

Mittels Aktivierungsanalyse wurde der Gehalt an Arsen, Antimon, Kupfer, Phosphor und Zink in Halbleitersilizium bestimmt. Die Methode besteht aus zwei Schritten:

1. Gruppentrennung durch Anionenaustausch mit einem Gemisch von Salz- und Fluorwasserstoffsäure,

2. Selektive substöchiometrische Extraktion von Arsen und Kupfer mit Diäthyldithiocarbamat, von Antimon mit Cupferron und von Zink mit Dithizon. Phosphor wurde extraktiv als Phosphomolybdat abgetrennt.     

On the application of a single‐crystal κ‐diffractometer and a CCD area detector for studies of thin films

A multipurpose six‐axis κ‐diffractometer, together with the brilliance of the ESRF light source and a CCD area detector, has been explored for studying epitaxial relations and crystallinity in thin film systems. The geometrical flexibility of the six‐axis goniometer allows measurement of a large volume in reciprocal space, providing an in‐depth understanding of sample crystal relationships. By a set of examples of LaAlO₃ thin films deposited by the atomic layer deposition technique, the possibilities of the set‐up are presented. A fast panoramic scan provides determination of the crystal orientation matrices, prior to more thorough inspection of single Bragg nodes. Such information, in addition to a broadening analysis of families of single reflections, is shown to correlate well with the crystallinity, crystallite size, strain and epitaxial relationships in the thin films. The proposed set‐up offers fast and easy sample mounting and alignment, along with crucial information on key features of the thin film structures.

Synthesis and ring‐opening polymerizations of novel S‐glycooxazolines

A new 2‐oxazolines containing S‐galactosyl substituents linked to alkyl chains of different lengths; (S‐glycooxazoline) were prepared relatively in high yields. By using a 1:1 adduct of 2‐methyl‐2‐oxazoline and methyl triflate, as the initiator, the monomer was polymerized via ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) to give products with relatively narrow molecular weight distributions. Homo‐ and copolymerization were performed, and the kinetics of these new S‐glycooxazolines in the ROP are investigated. After a quantitative deprotection, poly(2‐oxazoline)s having pendant carbohydrate were obtained. The interaction of the poly(S‐glycooxazoline) with RCA₁₂₀ lectin was investigated, the binding constant between glycopolymer and lectin was increased by 10² times compared with that of the monosaccharide (D ‐galactose). The in vivo expression of green fluorescent protein using the synthesized poly(S‐glycooxazoline)s as polymeric inducers in Escherichia coli host were performed. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 一价金属Ag、Au同步辐射光激发下的室温和低温光电子能谱分析

文章的实验采用同步辐射光源的能量范围60-200eV,分别测定单晶Ag的3d、4p、4d和5s电子以及研究其能带和谱峰的性质,分析给出Ag的光电子能谱的半高峰值的宽度。分析Ag在室温和低温下光电子能谱产生差异,以及低温下Ag的光电子能谱的性质。最终比较得出Ag、Au各个价带产生的光电子能谱谱峰中单色性最好的谱峰。计算出Ag导带的宽度与实验值进行比较。     

基于GPRS个人剂量仪控制系统的硬件设计

为了解决实时监控辐射环境中工作人员所受剂量当量率问题, 提出了基于GPRS(General Packet Radio Service)的个人剂量仪控制系统的硬件设计方案。通过对系统功能模块参数的详细研究, 完成了系统电路设计。该系统实现了对个人辐射剂量的远程监控, 电路结构简单, 具有低成本、 低功耗等优点, 在辐射监控领域应用前景广阔。     

A simple derivation of the equation of motion for classical electrodynamics

The equation of motion recently obtained by the author is derived by an elementary method. In addition, this paper contains a careful analysis of three well-known derivations of the (incorrect) Lorentz-Dirac equation, identifying their flaws. The fundamental error in each case is a failure to appreciate that the rate of change of field momentum affects the particle differently according to whether it is an applied field or the self-field. This fundamental physical error can be understood with the aid of a simple analogy.
